SURVIVORS
Chapters 261. Truth

In the living room of the house, Dr. Chandra was completely exhausted. Dean pulled out his half-living pitcher of water.

"Drink first, Doc." He put the jug into the hands of Dr. Chandra.

"We are running out of eternal water. It's time to come back" said Dr. Chandra.

"But...."

Dean did not continue his words.

Aslan went into the house. The porridge, which was in the bowl, had not yet been eaten. "I'm sorry. Let's eat. I'll feed mom, first," he said.

Aslan took one bowl of porridge and a cup of water. He went into the room, where his mother was still lying weak.

"Let's eat first, Mom," said Aslan softly.

The old woman looked at her son with affection. "Taking you home at that time, was the best decision I made. Thank you for taking care of me for years." Ingesting breath that feels tight.

"Please forgive me for not being the perfect mother for you" she said, shedding tears.

Aslan felt his throat choked. Her tears could spill at any time. Roughly, the eyes begin to get wet.

"What did mom say! Without your mercy, I would have died at sea" he said.

"Now let's eat. I still owe you my life. So let me get back at it." Aslan lifted the spoon near his mother's mouth.

Submissively, the woman opened her mouth and chewed slowly on the wheat porridge.

"Where did you get the wheat?" tanyakanya.

"Grandfather's friends have a stockpile of wheat. Stay a little, so made porridge. So spend it." He fed her his mother again.

"What are your plans tomorrow?" ask her mother again.

"I'll find a job at the market, so I can buy rice or wheat for us to eat" he said with a smile.

"I'm just troubling you" his mother said.

"It's not hard. You should be proud of me, because my strength is strong. I can work anything in the market. They need a lot of people with strong manpower to transport things," he replied excitedly.

"I think Grandma sent you to take care of me, after her disappearance," said the woman.

The spoon that Aslan was holding, hung in the air.

"Mom, as I said this afternoon, if there's anything you've kept secret about Grandma, you better just say it. They might as well be looking for Grandma's whereabouts."

Aslan returned to feed. The woman was silent while chewing the food. He kept thinking about a lot of things.

"If you want to have a good relationship with them, then we have to say all the things we know. Isn't that the same as helping others and yourself?" talk to Aslan again.

Until she finished feeding, the old woman was still adamant not to say anything more about her mother.

The night passed quietly. Doctors Chandra, Dean, Robert and Aslan slept lined up on the rough floor with worn mats.

Everyone is asleep. Except, the old lady who was filled with thoughts.

"Shall I say that?" thought.

Everything feels complicated to him. The truth that has been covered up all this time, will be revealed. He made a decision, with careful consideration. In order to maintain the unity of the group, facing other tribes who always come to disturb.

But time has changed. The king who led this country was strong enough. The law has also been enforced. No more groups or tribes attacking other tribes and groups.

Archery skills are no longer in demand. The group his mother had gathered had also started to blend in with the other tribes and groups of the big island. Some moved in and went to other families.

"Nobody needs to be interrupted anymore. If by telling the truth, they want to bring Aslan, then this is worth it, "his mind.

Morning Day.

Dean pulled out the remaining granola pieces. It's emergency food. They should be back soon.

"This is for you." Dean handed Aslan a piece of granola mixed with honey and maple caramel.

Dean shakes. "No! it can't be for your mother. Too loud," forbid Dean.

Then there was a sound of coughing from the room. Aslan immediately entered the room and saw that his mother had been scattered. His head was cupped on the edge of the sleeping temoat. On the floor, there was blood.

"Mother!" he ran away. To encourage his mother to sit. At the corner of the woman's lips dripped blood.

"Doctor! Doctor!" call panic.

Dr. Chandra entered the room and examined. He nodded slowly. Your mother's time is running out. You'll be with him one last time" said Dr Chandra. He's out soon

"No! My mom's fine. Mom, you should be fine. I'll take you to the Hospital!" his determination.

"Uhuk! Uhuk...."

"Mother, you're finally conscious. Let me take him to the hospital," Aslan asked.

"Call ... Your grandfather!" terbata.

"Miss...." Aslan objected, judging the condition of his mother.

"There's no time anymore."

Aslan calls Chandra to enter the room. "Doctor, I want to talk" he said.

Dr. Chandra went back into the room. "What do you want to say?" ask yes flat.

"Mother, my mother has died of old age" she said in a weak voice.

"What's? How do you know that? Where's the grave?" doctor Chandra asked half-screaming.

It was a surprise to Dean and Robert. With Aslan, they finally narrowed down inside the room.

"Mother who did not want the news of his death known to others. He asked me to keep it a secret, so that our group wouldn't split."

The old woman was tired of talking at length. Aslan leaned the frail body against his chest, in order to be able to breathe younger.

"Then you buried where my sister is?" ask doctor Chandra coldly.

"Mother has prepared her lying place. I was just asked to close the coffin" he replied.

"Where's the coffin!" ask Dr. Chandra impatiently.

"Below my bed!" His voice choked on tears. "I'm sorry mom, I have to tell you the truth before my time runs out."

"Erase him!" doctor Chandra's orders.

Dean raised that thin and old body, hovering towards the middle space. Aslan followed his mother. Worrying something happened. But he was relieved, because Dean moved his mother along with a thin bed, and placed on a mat.

"You keep your mother here" Dean said.

Dean walked into the room again. He was stunned, as it turned out that Aslan's mother was sleeping on top of a marble coffin.

"Seeing the type, cut and engraving on this stone, it is impossible for the woman to make it" Robert said after observing.

"This is my sister's tisan. He prepared it. Perhaps in the past, this was his room" said the Ruler.

"Let's get rid of the lid first, Dean suggested.

"Wait for Dean. Does the Lord want to see the contents?" ask Robert to Dr. Chandra.

"Yes, open. I want to see and we'll bury it properly in the little world it preserves" said Dr. Chandra.

Dean and Robert pulled the coffin cover from the marble together. Although very heavy, but after working together, it can finally open as well.

A musty smell suddenly came out of the hole. Fulfill the room air and suffocate breath. Dean looked at the window of the room that was covered by a pile of cloth. He opened the window forcefully. Fresh sea air, finally replaced the cohesiveness in the room.

The room was brighter because the window was opened. They were able to see clearly, the whole skeleton inside the marble coffin. The body was still complete with a necklace and a star emblem on his chest.
