Widuri was tired of crying and the firewood was also the last. While Dean's not coming back. At this time Widuri no longer felt Dean left and never returned it was not because of his bad attitude, but began to worry that something had happened that made him unable to return. Widuri became increasingly anxious. 'What's going on? Why isn't he back? Is he lost? Did you meet a beast in the cave passage? Hmmm, what kind of beast might be inside the cave?' thought worried.
The bears? A wolf? A snake? Was he injured or killed from fighting just relying on a spear?
"Ahh no! No. gabe. These bad thoughts should be thrown away." Widuri continued to talk to herself.
Kruukkk.. His stomach that made a loud noise made Widuri stunned. He's feeling very hungry. She should have been able to eat if she was in the shelter.
"Ahh. It's all my fault for following my curiosity so much that I fell in here and got Dean stuck too for wanting to take care of him." Widuri felt annoyed at his attitude all along.
Widuri feels like a hypocrite who looks good in front of everyone, but easily harbors bad suspicions about the person of others. Did this negative attitude arise out of disappointment in Frans' betrayal of her? His face began to look sad. 'That betrayal not only undermined my confidence, it reduced my trust in others.'
Widuri rubbed her stomach with tears welling up. 'He wouldn't have to be trapped and starving and thirsty if it wasn't for me to look after and help me. But my attitude has been very bad by accusing him of being a non-no. If he comes back, I'll apologize and be nice to him.'
"Go back Dean, I'm afraid to be here alone." whispered Widuri quietly as she looked at the dark passage in front of her.
"Dean! Dean! A sleepyhead! Are you all right down there?" There was the sound of people and the woods being removed. The cave room became brighter. Widuri stepped limped towards the open hole above her head happily because it turned out that those in the hole were not forgotten.
"I'm fine." Widuri shouted while waving happily. He could see people's heads stuck in the hole, but it was unclear who.
"We're running out of food and firewood here." cried Widuri again in a hopeful voice.
"Yes, we know you're going to be hungry. We'll throw firewood, yams and rabbits in. Uh, where's Dean? Why are you the only one answering?" ask people outside.
"Dean was down the cave hall. He said he wanted to find a way out. I was asked to wait for you here" replied Widuri.
Widuri was hesitant whether it was necessary to tell the above colleague that Dean had long gone and had not returned. Widuri was worried that it would make other friends anxious that might make one of them come down and trapped as well as Dean. Just wait a minute. If Dean hadn't come back until the next day, he'd have said it.
Firewoods, 1 whole rabbit raw, pine leaves and some yam have been dropped.
"Widuri, I'll drop the pot to cook the water. Try stacking the pine leaves thicker to hold the pot does not dent when it falls." The voice above gave instructions. Widuri piled up the leaves that cover the surface of the stone at the bottom of the hole so thicker.
"I've done it" cried Widuri to tell.
"Revelation yes.." Then there was a clanging sound several times when the pot landed on a pile of leaves and ejected back and landed again on the surface of the stone several times before finally stopping.
Widuri walked over to pick up the pot. A little dent and peel off the layers. But it can still be used.
"The pot I got, but there is no water source here" cried Widuri as she pointed the pot in her hand upward.
"Yes we know. Get the fuck out of there. I'll throw snowballs down, maybe you can collect them for drinking."
"good. Your idea is really smart. I've been so thirsty here." the voice of Widuri who sounded sad all the way to the top.
"Hey, don't be sad. We'll find a way out of this. Stay optimistic." The voice above encouraged him.
"Hey, step aside, I'm gonna drop this snowball." Another voice sounded again. Widuri away from the pine leaf pile.
"Successfully no?" ask the person above.
"No. Broke a mess after hitting the leaves." replied Widuri.
"Hey, just calm down. We know it's not easy to drop a snowball so far without the risk of breaking. So we've prepared some snowballs. Be patient and get away from it."
Widuri shifted again and waited. In the third throw, the scattering of snow was not too much anymore, as he had already landed on the surface of the snow before.
"In the meantime, it's getting good. Let me take it first." cried Widuri. "OK, continue if there's still."
Brukk, the snowball wrapped in pine leaves fell almost intact. "Haha.it's very good. I think it's enough to cook one pot of water." Widuri laughed happily.
He then untied the pine twigs covering the compacted snowball. Break it a little and put it in the pot.
"Thank you, your efforts have not been in vain." Widuri raised a pot of snow on top of his head. " I'll add some wood to the fireplace soon." Widuri then put the pot near the fire to melt. While the other snow chunks were transferred to the surface of another flat stone not far from it.
"Has team 2 arrived?" ask Widuri towards the top.
"Yet. Maybe later in the afternoon or tomorrow. Did you forget that we were only able to get in here after the fog ran out?" The man above reminded me.
"Ah yes, I forgot," said Widuri. "But, will your food supply be enough if it is divided here?"
"Didn't you see the yam we threw? We found another yam plant, and dug up some. So don't worry about us."
"alright. That's great if you guys find a yam garden again. Wait a minute, I'll call Dean, maybe he'll hear me and come back soon." Shouted Widuri again.
"Deed..! Dean.. Where are you? Friends have delivered food. Dean.. Come back." Widuri deliberately walked towards the hallway before shouting in a loud voice. "Deans... Dean.. Back back.."
"Widuri, it's okay if Dean hasn't come back. You cook that rabbit first. Maybe the smell of food will lead the way back." Haha.. The laughter of some of the people above slightly eased the uneasiness that Widuri felt.
"We stay first. Come back again."
"Yes, go. Thank you for the help." cried Widuri. "Just leave the hole open, don't close it. Dark."
"Alright, we put a little wood just to keep the wolf not easily mired."
Widuri looked up. Some wood is lined up spaced to keep the hole closed but still allow light to enter. After no more movement above, Widuri moved to the fireplace. Put the yam into the coals and then hang the rabbit on the fire with a crutch. He started cooking this way.
The snow in the pot has melted. Widuri moved the warm water into the bottle Dean was carrying. Filled to the brim for drinking supplies. Then gulp the remaining water in the pot to relieve thirst and a stomach that begins to churn.
Widuri remembered Dean. Doesn't he feel thirsty? Is he lost? Widuri filled the pot again with the snow she collected and reheated it.
"Deans.. Dean.. Where're you?" Widuri shouted back. He hoped Dean could follow his voice if he got lost.
"Deeaaannn..!" He shouted again, right at the mouth of the tunnel. Not yet getting an answer, Widuri sighed, and walked back towards the fireplace while occasionally looking back.
