This morning, Robert woke up with a body shivering in the cold. There was a soft snoring next to him. Robert looked. It was the snoring of Kang who was also sleeping next to him. Looks very comfortable.
'Huh, his body may contain fire, no wonder this cold air actually makes it comfortable, ' Robert's inner self.
Robert rises. His hands were crossed in front of his chest. He felt too long exposed to the cold air in the open. The temple grounds are starting to light up. Outside the dome looks white fog commonly found in mountainous areas.
"Kang, get up," call Robert. But Kang didn't respond.
'Until what time did he notice the sky last night?' thought Robert.
Robert let Kang sleep. He walked around the front yard of the temple. Then he started running around to warm himself up. And do some sports movements that have rarely been done.
Robert was sweating. He's more excited now. His stomach was very hungry. But Kang still slept soundly. Robert grumbling.
"Kang, up. It's noon." Robert shook Kang's body.
"Mmmm...."
Kang muttered and turned his back to Robert and continued his sleep.
Robert couldn't believe it. Kang usually wakes up earlier than him.
"Kang, you can continue to sleep in the wooden house. We slept on the ground all night. Let's go back first. I'll let you sleep till noon if you want."
Robert's words are like the wind.
"Kang, yesterday afternoon the milk of cows and sheep did not have time to be milked. We have to do it this morning. Or they'll be in pain" Robert persuaded.
"Kang, let's get up. I'm already hungry. I can't go down to the basement if you don't bring it down."
Robert grumbling.
"You should have provided the stairs so I could go up and down by myself."
Kang's body wriggled. He finally woke up after hearing what Robert was doing.
Kang sat in front of Robert. His hand was placed on his forehead.
"Huh. Why are you staying up all night? What are you waiting for?" fred Robert is angry.
"Haiss. No need to answer if it's a secret. Now we have to get down and go to the log house. After that you can go to sleep again. Let me take care of those cattle. Come on!"
Robert stands. Kang was drawn to stand up. Both of them walked to the basement roof. Kang brought Robert down. Then they walked down the hallway to the wooden house.
That day Kang actually continued his sleep. Robert let. He's busy taking care of the cattle that weren't taken care of yesterday.
By noon, the food was ready at the table. Kang's not out yet. So Robert enjoyed his own meal.
Robert continued to clean up the vegetable garden that looked very wet. The plant collapsed and almost drowned. He was busy launching a flow of water so as not to inundate the vegetable beds.
Robert's body was bathed in sweat. He stood up and looked around.
"A little more done," he murmured in satisfaction.
Just now Robert wanted to go back to squatting when he felt that something was strange. Robert looked up at the sky looking. He was sure there was a subtle sound in the air. A vibration that rubbed his ears.
Suddenly Kang appeared in the courtyard. Also look up at the sky and the surrounding direction.
"Do you feel it too?" asked Robert astonished.
How can Kang who sleeps at home feel such subtle sound? How sensitive he is.
Robert left his job. Near him Kang.
"What do you think that sounds like?" ask Robert to know. Kang touched Robert's forehead.
???
Robert surprised.
"Kang, if the sound is a marker something hit the barrier, means someone found this place. Isn't that nice?" Robert was hoping to get out of there.
Kang shook his head. Kang put his finger on Robert's forehead again.
"Oh, the impact came from a height...." Robert then realized something.
"Well, it's impossible for humans to do that. There may be a flying bird that dies suddenly and then falls against the barrier of this world." Unquestionably disappointed approached him.
Robert intends to finish his job to clean up the remaining garden. But suddenly Kang pulled his mud-filled hand. Kang took her jumping from twig to twig.
"Will beaaaa...."
Robert screamed all the way. His shoulder hurt because Kang was just holding his hand. Robert's body was tossed around. Robert was afraid that his shoulder would suddenly come off.
Finally Kang stopped on a tree branch. With a pale face, Robert hugged the tree trunk tightly. His body shook violently. Head's dizzy. He actually likes to ride a rollercoster, but not this way either.
"Kang, you can kill me like this" lamented Robert in despair.
Kang looked over, but just smiled.
"You even smile? What kind of friend are you!" robert shouted annoyed.
"Aduuuhhh." Robert rubbed his painful shoulder.
Kang brought Robert down. This time it was softer. Then he pointed in one direction. Robert observed, following the direction of Kang's finger moving to one place.
Suddenly there was a trace of a palm at the boundary of that world. Robert jumped in shock.
'That's a human hand' he thought.
Kang's finger moved after the handprints disappeared. Then stop again. And back to the hand prints there.
"Kang, there's a human outside. He found this place. But I can't get in" said Robert.
Kang nodded. His attitude is very alert. His fingers kept shifting following the movement of the people across there.
"Kang, how do you know he's moving in that direction?" asked Robert in surprise.
Kang pointed at his eyes.
"Don't tell me your eyes are special and you can see through the barrier." Robert's lips were slightly pursed, mocking.
But unexpectedly, Kang nodded.
"Jeez, Kang.." Robert's voice was soft, inexhaustible.
"If you can see through out there, shouldn't it be easy to seek outside help?" said Robert.
Kang put a finger on Robert's forehead.
"So, since you've been trapped, for thousands of years. No human has come close to this world. Except the animals that hit the barrier. And of course I'm the one who crossed in without being able to get out again." Robert began to understand.
Robert brought his ears closer to the wall, trying to hear voices from outside. Followed by Kang's index direction that continues to shift. Then a handprint appeared right in front of him.
Unknowingly, Robert returned the handprints. When the hands of the two touched, the two immediately withdrew their hands. Kang pulled Robert away from the line. His eyes were staring and alert.
"What do you see Kang?" ask Robert to know.
Kang's gaze was rising upwards. His forehead wrinkled. He jumped into the branches of the tree. Like following something.
"Did the person whose hand I was holding just now go upstairs?" robert muttered.
"Did he jump like Kang? Or fly? How could? It doesn't make sense."
Robert tried to open his mind. That ever since she was stranded, it's been absurd.
"Oh, okay.... Let's open up all the impossible possibilities. Beings like Kang that spout fire and Vivian winged are also very impossible in the modern world" he said.
Kang came down slowly. His eyes did not escape from the barrier wall.
"What's wrong? Did that guy fly up?" ask Robert.
"Truly flying?" Robert did not believe it.
"Maybe he's Vivian's people. They can also fly with their big wings right?" Robert's Assumption.
But Kang shook his head. His finger was on Robert's forehead. Robert's eyes were round. He did not blink for a moment, digesting the information Kang gave him.
"They are not winged. But it can just fly." Robert said to himself.
Kang's finger pointed at the boundary. Robert saw. Across the street, the man scratches the wall, like he wants to say something.
H A L L O
Robert gaped at spelling out the inscribed letters. That's a familiar word in his world. Robert was very enthusiastic.
"Are those across the street the modern world?" muttered pleased. Excitedly Robert said to Kang.
"Kang ...?" His words were interrupted seeing the ugly expression Kang had shown. Her face flushed. Looks like Kang is ready to explode at any moment.
"Kang, calm down. Calm down.... The writing is nothing. Save your anger," persuaded Robert.
