SURVIVORS

SURVIVORS
Chapters 180. Liam and Barrel

A week had passed again when Stevan returned from his trip. He spoke briefly to some of the people at the gate of the residence. Then soon the atmosphere turned tense. Everybody is running.

Stevan walked fast. When he saw the confused Liam, he said:

"Let's go in."

Liam followed him quickly. William was already waiting for Stevan to arrive with an anxious face.

Stevan entered his room. William and Liam followed. Some other men also came in. Their faces looked tense.

'Did the enemy attack?' liam thought in a rage.

"Liam, the enemy forces are on their way here. You can either leave here or hide. Think quickly, because there is not much time. Some of the troops have already confronted them at the edge of the forest." Stevan.

"If we go, which direction should we choose not to meet them?" ask Liam.

Stevan pointed at the stretch of the map on the large table.

"We're here. They're being blocked here. The best option is this direction. But it's in the direction of a haunted forest that no one has ever come back from." Stevan.

"Could it be that because inside the forest is the boundary of another world, that's why no one can return after entering it?" Liam expressed his thoughts.

Everyone was surprised to think of that possibility. They looked at each other with their own thoughts.

"But, that's just a baseless assumption. Maybe I was wrong and the forest was really haunted." Liam corrected his words after realizing everyone's shock.

"I'll talk about this with Laras." Liam nodded and exited the room.

Laras had been looking for him since. He heard a rumour that a large army had attacked the village and had already reached the village boundary.

Liam said his conversation with Stevan. Baras thought seriously.

"Stevan wants to protect us" murmured Laras.

His eyes looked at the children running into the house. His heart had been adrift after receiving their hospitality.

"What if we just hide here?" ask Liam.

"That will get us into a war we don't understand. Can be dangerous Barrel. Bet life!" Leon reminded.

"Or, what if we take those kids to the haunted forest?" Barrels looking for other options.

"Laras, it's a haunted forest that no one has been able to return from. Do you want to take responsibility for their lives?" Liam was confused by Laras's thought.

"You didn't give me a choice, Liam. Hiding here you don't agree. Going into the woods with those kids you don't agree either. You actually have your own choice, right? Why ask my opinion again?" Barrel spoke with sewot.

Liam.

"I just think we both left. If we take them and then in the forest we find another world gap. The children will be transported to a foreign world. And I can't imagine the effect on our cycle of travel."

Laras. Now he understands Liam's way of thinking. Not because I don't care about the people there. But thinking about the bad possibilities people today are moving into the future.

"I understand. All right, we're both going to that forest. Whatever happens, we're the only ones facing it." The barracks finally agreed.

"Let's tell Stevan, say goodbye." Take Liam.

They stepped towards the meeting place. Liam knocks on the door first to let him know.

Stevan looked at Liam and Laras who entered the room. The door is back closed.

"So what's your decision?" ask Stevan.

"We're going to the haunted forest." Liam replied firmly.

"Can you bring the kids?" ask Stevan.

"Translating the world is not easy and beautiful. As we are today, we are moving into your war-torn world." Answer Liam.

"And before that, we moved dimensions to the point of almost killing us on our way." Laras added.

"I understand. You can't guarantee the lives of children in a new world that you don't know what." Stevan understands the risks that Laras and Liam are concerned about.

Stevan gave some instructions. A man is standing at the door.

"thank you. We are happy and feel appreciated here. Unfortunately we cannot help much or involve ourselves in this dispute. We fear that action could result in a change in history in the future." Liam lowered his head slightly.

"Thank you for your hospitality." Baras bowed his head.

Stevan nodded.

Barrel and Liam came out of the room. They followed the man who was appointed earlier. They don't have much equipment. So there's nothing to pack.

The man gave him a packet of food, 2 apples, a bag of water and 2 knives to protect himself. Then they walked out of the big house.

The three stepped quickly on the rocky streets of the village. Just this time Liam and Laras saw the atmosphere of the forest edge village. The houses in the village were far apart, bounded by gardens and a small apple forest. A serene atmosphere. Because there can be many eyes watching from a hidden place.

"It's just right that Stevan had his members drive towards the forest. So that we are not considered enemies by other residents." whispered Laras to Liam.

"Hem.." Liam nodded in agreement.

The man in front started to walk more carefully. The road did not even get hardened with rocks. It was like a shortcut through an endless row of maple trees. The road is going down longer. The sun's bias sometimes disappears, sometimes it appears.

After crossing the small clear times, it began to look like a no man's forest. Characterized by increasingly diverse tree species and grow closely.

Finally the man stopped. He pointed at the part of the forest in front of them.

"There's the border of the haunted forest. I'll just drive you here."

Laras and Liam take a look. Their feelings are starting to get bad. The forest in front of it was really strange. All the trees are blackened. Even the leaves are black.

"Liam, how?" ask Laras wryly.

Liam was silent for a long time. His heart also shrunk. The forest in front really looks like a haunted forest in horror movies.

"It's afternoon. Better not go into the woods at night. Just wait for tomorrow morning." The man on the road seemed to know the fear of the two of them.

"Can you make a fire? The night in the woods will be very cold." He said offer himself.

"I'll be happy if you help me" said Laras gladly.

The man smiled. Then he quickly collected enough dry twigs to make a fireplace.

"Liam, let's go find some more wood for the night. We spent the night on the edge of this forest first. Continue the journey when the light of day is certainly much better." Baras.

"okay."

Liam soon collected more dried twigs for their fireplaces.

After the fire burned steady, the man scanned around. His forehead is slightly pucker.

"Do you usually live in the woods?" tanyakanya.

"Yes. During these adventures, we often lived in forests and unexpected places. Don't worry." Liam Sahut.

"Well, we often live in the woods. But usually Robert or Dean will prepare the Shelter for us to spend the night." Laras chirped.

Liam's stunned. Laras has a point. They must make shelters to be safe from wild animals or rain.

Liam's risen. Look for long branches or broad branches to be used as a shelter wall. The man pointed the way to understand Liam's intentions. So he helped her cut off some other twigs.

It was dark when the shelter was finished. The man wanted to return soon, but was arrested.

"It's dark soon. You can get lost in the woods. Wait here tonight." Prevent Barrel.

The man hesitated. He seemed to want to quickly return to the village and fight with his friends.

Liam looked at the direction they were coming from. In the twilight sky he saw no sign of the village falling. There is no smoke rising that may be a sign of a burning house or something.

"It looks like the village is pretty safe. Maybe the enemy troops could be intercepted at the village border." Liam.

The man looked towards the hill, where his village was. There is no sign of anything that could be a danger sign.

"All right, we're staying here for the night." His word. Baras was relieved.
