Chapters 228. Jealous
Late at midnight, the operation was finally completed. The only ones who are waiting are the men.
Marianne, Niken, Widuri and Nastiti had already entered the room because they were too sleepy.
"What about Vivian?" ask Robert.
"The operation is done. Hopefully he can get through his critical moments. So we can only wait. Answer Dr. Chandra.
Robert nodded then let Doctor Chandra and the healer rest.
"We have to wait until morning to make sure his body recovers or not."
Robert tells Kang Vivian's condition. Kang nodded calmly. He has become human again.
"Uncle, I have to go home and take care of my father" Yoshi said. Dean nodded.
"Tell me, I'm staying here tonight" said Yabie. Yoshi nodded. He then floated up high and disappeared from sight.
"Do you want to be driven home tonight?" ask Dean to the doctor.
"I still have to check it out in the morning. So I'm just here" replied the Physician.
"alright. Doctor Chandra, you can take the healer to the room there to rest" Dean said, pointing to one of the empty rooms of 3 wooden logs.
Doctor Chandra nodded. Both of them went to rest.
"Dean, let me and Kang keep him here. You also go to rest," said Robert.
"alright.. If you need anything, just let me know" Dean said as he passed. He went to his room. Widuri had gone to bed from the beginning, accompanied by Cloudy.
The ones in the court are Kang, Robert, Sunil and Yabie. The benches had been arranged in the original place, surrounding the table. Vivian fell asleep quietly in the blanket that Widuri had brought earlier.
Yabie sat on the bench near the big table. Yabie was very sleepy. He was very tired when he helped with the operation. Because it had to repeatedly expend its ability to relieve Vivian's pain. It drains his energy. So he tried to sleep while sitting and leaning his head on the table.
Kang sat across from Yabie. He doesn't know what to do. He was sleepy but unable to sleep. He looked at Vivian with a complicated expression. Finally Kang also followed Yabie's way, sleeping while sitting with his head resting on the table surface.
While Sunil and Robert chose to lie on a wide board sheet that Dean often used to sleep in the court.

This morning everyone woke up. Even the sound of the super-noisy gulls was unable to wake them up.
The morning light slid in through the trees. His shadow extended on the ground. The typical warmth of the sun replaces the effects of torches that begin to burn out. But the coolness of the morning dew, has not completely disappeared.
The healer's grandfather who woke up the earliest, was astonished to see the place was so silent. Only Cloudy growled lazily to see the healer walking. He held his head up for a moment, then rolled up again on Dean's room stairs.
The old physician stepped into the courtyard. And the view there looks like a refuge. The four people slept haphazardly everywhere.
Yabie put together quite a lot of benches and straightened his back there. While Kang, even slept soundly on the black stone floor. The grunting of the four men was mutually disdainful.
The doctor was careful not to wake them up. He checked Vivian's condition. The girl had a slight fever, but was still able to sleep well.
The doctor walked into the big house. There are 3 doors there. He doesn't know which room Dr. Chandra slept in. The doctor turned around, and decided to wait for the others to wake up.
"Tabib, are you looking for Doctor Chandra?" sounds of women.
The old physician turned around, then smiled when he found Marianne greeting him.
"Yes. Which one's the room?" ask healer.
"That's the door at the other end" Marianne pointed.
"Thank you."
The healer nodded and stepped to the door Marianne pointed at.

Open the door and see Doctor Chandra still sleeping. On the other hand there was also Alan who snored finely.
"Doctor.... Morning already. We need to check the patient's condition. He had a slight fever earlier," said the healer, touching his wand into the hands of Dr. Chandra.

Dr Chandra opened her eyes because she felt her arms scratched.
"Tabib?"
Doctor Chandra wakes up from his sleep.
"It's noon. The patient had a fever. Do you want to check it or not?" ask the old doctor.
"Oh, yeah, let's check." Doctor Chandra immediately got out of bed.
"Alan, wake! It's noon!" doctor Chandra said before leaving the room.

That morning the mood was back. Everyone was awake and engaged as usual. The doctor has brought Yabie home. Vivian had also woken up from her sleep. Dean moved him to the room the healer had previously occupied. Kang kept him there.
Dr Chandra felt Vivian should be observed for another day before being allowed to go home. The doctor has left the medicine that must be taken so that the wound heals quickly.
Marianne, Widuri, Nastiti and Niken are busy preparing a bad breakfast. Widuri has made wheat porridge for Vivian.
"Nastiti, deliver this porridge to Vivian's place. He must have been very hungry" said Widuri.
"No way!" push Nastiti.
"You why?" Widuri, Niken and Marianne looked at each other in confusion.
"Here, let me deliver" said Niken. A wooden tray contains a tea cup and a porridge bowl.
Widuri no longer noticed the change in Nastiti's attitude. They went back to work finishing everyone's breakfast.
Breakfast was very crowded. Alan and Indra tell each other funny jokes that make everyone laugh. They also discussed again about the plan to the city of the dead that day. The breakfast was soon completed. Dean, Indra and Sunil were preparing to leave.
"Nastiti, this is Vivian's medicine. Please deliver," Doctor Chandra asked gently.
"No want! Why the hell, tell me to keep going," said Nastiti upset. She was almost crying now.
Everyone was confused by his unreasonable reaction.
"What's wrong with you?" ask Widuri wonder.
Nastiti chose to leave rather than answer. Widuri wanted to catch up, but prevented Niken.
"Let him alone" said Niken subtly.
Niken feels Nastiti's feelings are turbulent and confusing, making her emotions difficult to contain.
"Let me take the cure" said Robert with a bad face.
Doctor Chandra handed the newly created medicine bowl into Robert's hands. He walked quickly followed by Kang who was also a sour-faced.
Niken lays down Robert's steps.
"Don't take offense to Nastiti. He also has trouble handling his feelings. He likes your friend, but your friend doesn't even look at him."
"So she's angry?" whispered Robert.
Niken shook her head and smiled obliquely.
"Well, it's jealous" whispered Robert again.
Robert smiled this time. And nodded in understanding. Niken stops stepping and lets Robert and Kang deliver the medicine.
Kang put his finger on Robert's forehead. Want to know what they were talking about.
"Ohh, it's nothing. Niken just said that Nastiti was sick with PMS. That's why his attitude changed" Robert replied without thinking.
Kang put his finger down again.
"Pms is a kind of abdominal pain experienced by women. They experience it every month" replied Robert curiously.
Kang put his finger on Robert's forehead again.
"Why not have surgery like Vivian?" ask Kang in Robert's mind.
"Oh no! This stomach ache was different from Vivian's stomach ache. They're always having it every month."
"Don't you feel sorry that Nastiti has to be operated on monthly basis?" Robert said again with a helpless smile.
