"How's doc?" liam asked after Chandra's doctor finished checking.
"It looks like he hit something hard. My guess is that it hit his spine" said Dr. Chandra.
"So it wasn't just a bruise?" ask Widuri.
"looks not. I have to go deeper to make sure." Doctor Chandra sighed heavily.
"Then just do it doc," said Liam quickly.
"If it's in our country, maybe it can. But look at this place. Not sterile, dimly lit and no equipment. She can scream hysterically when I cut a knife."
Doctor Chandra shook his head to look at Liam's attitude.
"Yoshi, please ask the old healer who was taking care of Indra at that time. Is it possible to help care for Laras in his place. If he's willing, we can do further tests and actions there" Chandra said.
"Yes, we need her medical skills, too." Dean agrees.
"alright. I'm leaving now" Yoshi replied quickly.
"I'll accompany you." Yabie walks after Yoshi to the door of the house.
"Wait!" call Widuri. Yoshi and Yabie stopped their steps.
"Yoshi, can you ease the pain a bit? At least so that he does not faint because of the pain," pinta Widuri.
"No. We need Yoshi to the healer's place. If he does that, he'll weaken here" prevent Dean.
"Can I replace my brother?" ask Yabie.
"You ready? Thank you Yabie," said Widuri Haru.
"It's okay aunt. Your friends are my family." Yabie looked at Yoshi.
"Can you find your own way here?"
"Yes. You just do your job" said Yoshi. He then continued his steps out of the house.
Yabie approaches the bed. The barrel lay on its side against the door. The barrel clasped Liam's hand tightly. His lips continued to hiss withstanding a great pain.
Yabie slowly brought her palm closer to Laras's back. Liam watched with worry.
Without touching the skin of the Barrel, Liam drained a little of his healing energy. Either it can cure the disease or only be able to relieve pain. Everyone would be willing to do anything to ease Laras's suffering.
Slowly the face of Laras who was flushed due to high heat, gradually normal. His body was soaked with sweat. Liam diligently wiped the wet face of Laras. He's not fizzing anymore.
After Yabie was finished, Chandra's doctor placed a cup of water on Liam.
"Give him a drink of this water."
Liam took the cup. Help him Barrel to spend water in a cup.
"May there be news soon from the old physician" murmured Dr. Chandra.
They came out and let Laras rest comfortably. Only Widuri and Liam accompanied Laras.
It was then that Dr. Chandra realized the presence of the children in the place.
"Who are they?" ask Dean.
"They were villagers who helped Liam and Laras. But unfortunately all the villagers were killed while fighting the enemy army. But the village leader had already hidden Laras, Liam and these children" Dean explained.
"So they are the remaining successors?" dr Chandra could not comment again. He could imagine the confusion of those little children.
Dean introduces Yabie and Chandra to Kenny and Mattew. From Kenny, doctors Chandra and Yabie learn how they got to this dead city.
"So you don't have a place to live anymore. You guys want to stay here? Ask Yabie. He's the owner of this place now" said Chandra's doctor.
"What if you live in the village? Yabie's father was the master of the city" Dean proposed.
"That's better. You can live in a society" adds Dr Chandra.
"Master, can we rent and stay in your town? You can tell us how we paid for his contribution." Mattew asked Yabie directly.
"Uncle, I don't understand anything like this. Uncle takes care of it," said Yabie.
"Hmmm.. Let me first think of an equally good agreement for all parties." Dean paused his sentence.
"But I need to reiterate. This dead city is in the territory of the city chief. The land of this city belonged to Yabie. So, I think you understand what I mean."
Dean looked at Mattew straight. He felt Mattew was a smart man. Not as stupid as Kenny.
"I understand. We rented Mr. Yabie's land and recognized the city's chairman and dutiful as a citizen" Mattew replied.
"Good! We'll discuss it with the city chief. What contributions you have to complete."
Dean nodded satisfied with Mattew's understanding.
"But, may I know, where is the source of the water in this house? I want to drain it for our gardens."
Mattew did not miss the opportunity to ask the landowner directly.
"Oh, from here," Yabie said as she stepped into the backyard. Others followed.
"I'm just sitting here, right?"
Yabie passed through the kitchen, passed through the newly made beds, then stopped in front of the wall beside the fish pond.
He touched a stone beside the pool. Then there was the sound of the rock touching each other. The back wall shifted to the side and opened up enough gaps for one person to pass through.
They were hanging out seeing that. No one thought the wall was a hidden door.
"Have we come out of the city walls?" ask Dean.
"No. It's a different door. Let's see" Yabie casually entered, followed by the others.
Dean looked at the scene in front of him. It was a stretch of wheat fields ready for harvest. Restricted by small waterways, the grasslands appear to be spread out. Jabie made fences in the vast meadow. There are sheep in a group. There are also cows in other groups.
Dean flew across the wheat field, then watched the meadow. He seemed to recognize the contours of the land.
Dean tried to remember, there should be a maple tree behind the meadow. Dean continues to fly away leaving Kenny Mattew and the children in shock to see him suddenly fly.
"In-he can fly. It's great!" one of the teenage girls with a dazzled look.
"I can too" said Yabie. Then he flew around like a butterfly.
"Well?!"
Those people are really surprised now. Is it true that Liam's friends are ordinary humans like them?
"What are you doing here?" a voice resuscitated the captivated children.
"That's. They can fly" explained a boy with an exited face.
"Yoshi, call your sister and uncle back," Widuri held back in annoyance.
"Yes, aunt." Yoshi immediately darted quickly after his younger brother and uncle.
"Walong...!"
The children exclaimed in admiration.
"He can fly too. That's great."
The initially shocked faces were now beaming.
"Auntie, take me flying. I also want to fly," said a little girl with a happy face. His hand was already stretched out towards Widuri.
Widuri scratched her head in confusion. Then he crouched down and embraced the little girl.
"Auntie can't fly like them. Aunty is just like you," Widuri explained gently.
"But aunt can put you on your shoulders so you can see further. Wanna?" bargaining Widuri at the sight of the boy's eyes implied disappointment.
The little girl nodded happily. Laras asks Kenny for help so that the boy can sit on his shoulders.
The barrel walked on the meadow while holding both of those small hands by the side of his head. Barrels were running around in circles near the sheep fence. The other boys came running around. They look happy. Screaming and laughing happily.
The barrel stops after seeing Dean, Yoshi and Yabie return. The little girl was taken down.
"You guys play. But don't go far. We want to check on Laras again" said Widuri.
"No. They had to go in and the door was closed again" Yabie said.
"Why?" ask Dean.
"In the forest there are many wild animals" said Yabie surely.
Widuri. "How do you know?"
"Because I took them off there." Yabie nodded her head reassuring everyone.
"It has. We'll discuss that later. Let's get all the kids in" Dean ordered.

"So, how do we get Laras over there?" ask doctor Chandra.
"We have to make a stretcher. Then Yabie and I could lift him up to the healer's house" Dean replied.
"alright. We find a wood strong enough for a buffer and then a cloth for a reclining base.
"There is no wood. There is no fabric. But there's this," Yabie pointed at the pile of leather that was the bed in the corner of the room.
Dean nodded. "Now we cut down a tree first. Come on Yabie," Dean.
'Oh my God, how much longer will Laras wait for Dean to cut down a tree to become a stretcher stand?' inner Liam.
He was sad to think of the pain that Laras had suffered from time to time. But Liam should be able to show an optimistic face in front of Laras.
"Patience yes. You'll be taken to the treatment. You'll be healthy again." Liam again pumped his spirit on Laras.
