SURVIVORS
Chapters 119. Meeting With Clan Representatives

Doctors Chandra and Robert arrived in front of Glenn's reading room. The door was closed. 2 guards stood to the right left of the door.

Tok..

"The doctor is already here, Your Majesty," the guard reported after opening the door.

The guards let Chandra and Robert into the room.

The room was full of people from various clans. No one they know. Robert and doctor Chandra lowered their heads, saluting His Majesty the King of the Elf clan.

'Does the King want to introduce us to them?' thought Robert.

"It's Dr. Chandra who cured Uncle Felix's illness" the king said.

Everyone looked at him curiously. Someone spoke to the king in a language not understood by Robert and Chandra.

"Doctor, the leader of the witch clan wants to know if you can cure their elder's illness." The king explained the conversation to Dr. Chandra.

"I can't say anything before examining him, Your Majesty," replied Dr Chandra.

The king again engaged in conversation with others.

"I've already said your desire to cross over to another world and maybe have to borrow another mirror fragment from them. But they want to see your abilities first," the King again explained their conversation.

Robert and Dr Chandra looked at each other.

"I have to see the patient first before deciding whether or not to treat it. Your Majesty knows very well that the equipment in this world does not support treatment in our world way" replied Dr. Chandra diplomatically.

The king and the others returned to discuss with their language. Robert and Dr. Chandra waited expectantly.

Someone approached them.

"I'm a cousin of Prince Felix's wife. The one who was sick was the elder of the magician clan. You can come to our place and check." The middle-aged man introduced himself.

Doctor Chandra lowered his head respectfully.

"When and how are we going to get there? And, I'm probably gonna need the help of the healer Michfur and my other colleagues who know about medicine." Doctor Chandra replied politely.

"Then what about the other clans Your Majesty?" ask Robert.

The king understood Robert's thoughts. He went back to talking to the others. It seems that discussion is not easy.

"They're waiting for good news from the witch clan." The King gave the result of the discussion.

Robert and Dr. Chandra looked at each other. It was not easy to ask for help from other clans. The witch clan might be friendly just because of the marriage relationship with Mr. Felix.

"I have to check first. So I can't promise anything yet. Even though we cannot get help to return to our world, I will still try to heal patients who may be able to be cured. That's my vow as a doctor." Doctor Chandra replied straightforwardly this time.

The room was quiet. The king saw the representatives of each clan present there. His eyes showed disappointment, but did not want to urge any party who did not want to help.

The vice of the witch clan cleared a small thud.

"We can leave for the witch clan 2 days later." His voice sounded friendly and sincere now.

Anyway, he knows very well how sick Mr. Felix was before. And now the old prince even looks very healthy and fresh at the wedding. He trusted Dr. Chandra completely.

Not to mention his nephew prince Glenn ended his mourning by marrying the girl from another world. Even the Elf King facilitated this meeting. That means they have strong trust and support.

"Okay, we'll wait."

Doctor Chandra nodded.

Robert and Dr Chandra left the reading room after their affair was over.

"It's not easy to borrow the mirror shards." complains doctor Chandra as they walk down the hallway to the party room.

"Huh. Even after the Elf King asked for help, they still did not look at him." Robert snorted in annoyance.

"If the elder can be cared for, I'll try." Doctor Chandra calms Robert's anger.

They arrived at the party room that was starting to quiet down. Even Glenn and Angel were nowhere to be seen.

"You're back?"

"How's the talk going?"

The other team members asked impatiently.

"It's late in the afternoon, let them both eat first." Laras. Robert and Dr. Chandra head to the table.

"Eat first. We need you to stay healthy. The other thing we can talk about later" said Laras firmly.

Robert nodded and started to take the dishes. Both eat well. Their stomachs haven't been filled properly since morning.

"Alan, you're guarding here. If I don't come back in the afternoon, you take Widuri and Nastiti to the market and bring them home." Dean gave Alan a job.

"Okay" answered Alan.

"Michael, train seriously. Maybe it will come in handy one day" Sunil said as he patted her on the shoulder.

"Ready." Michael answered excitedly.

"Marianne, we're leaving." Widuri waved her hand as they floated up. Marianne replied to the wave.

*

Up on the hillside.

"You will sell first. We're both going to meet the city lord" Dean said.

He took out 2 blades of dagger and handed them to Nastiti and Widuri.

"It's just in case you guys get bullied in the market" Dean said.

"I'd rather have a pair of your curved knives" said Nastiti.

Dean pulled out what Nastiti was asking for. Nastiti received and swung it several times. Luckily they used to be trained to use weapons while living in the rock mountains.

Nastiti was satisfied. He immediately slipped the two weapons on his right and left waist straps. Smile them.

The four people walked towards the border of the city and headed for the market. After accompanying Widuri and Nastiti on a short sale, Dean and Sunil moved towards the city lord's residence.

The building is easy to find. A clean white fence wall that stretches wide, showing a spacious residential courtyard. Dean and Sunil stopped in front of the nearly 4-meter-high gate.

"Marianne was right, look at the star emblem above that gate," Sunil sent a voice transmission to Dean.

Dean looked up and nodded. They continued their steps toward the 2 guards standing outside the gate.

"We were invited by the city chief." Dean showed me the star emblem left behind by the girl who came in last night.

The two guards were surprised. It was no ordinary invitation. One of them immediately ran inside.

"We confirm this invitation first" said another guard. He stood in the middle of the door to block Dean and Sunil from barging in.

The guard who left earlier, returned shortly afterwards.

"Gentlemen are welcome to enter," he said politely as he opened the gates wide.

Dean and Sunil stepped in and followed the guard who escorted him to the meeting place.

"The city lord is waiting for you both" he said with a friendly smile.

"Master, both guests are already here," reported the guard from behind the door of a room.

"Please enter," came a female voice from within.

The guard opened the door carefully. Dean and Sunil stepped in. The back door is closed.

He looked like a man who looked very old. He was sitting on a large chair that looked covered with enough cloth to appear thick. His half-leaning position made Dean think that the person might be suffering from pain.

The woman who visited last night, was sitting not far from him. His eyes looked worried every time the old man moved.

"Please have both guests sit down." The man said in a weak voice.

Dean and Sunil took a seat in the chair.

"Greetings to the city chief. We came at the invitation of the vice-chairman. Can we tell you what this invitation is about?" ask Sunil.

Uhuk..

The old man coughed. His face paled for a while, until his breathing regained order.

"Yo, where's your manners. Serve a drink first," the man scolded the woman next to him.

With a look of dislike, the woman walked out of the room.

"I'm sorry about my daughter's attitude. He does look crisp and fierce. But he's very nice." The man spoke slowly.

'His daughter? The woman said Bi was her mother. Is that old man Bi's husband?' Dean's mind is raging. His chest was pounding.

"A, are you okay?" sunil's transmission sound entered his head.

Dean eased his rumbling and tried to act calm. Sunil and a flash of golden light were faintly visible in his eyes.

"I'm fine" Dean replied via voice transmission.
