SURVIVORS
Chapters 271. The Prisoners of the Stars

"So you can fly! Tck... I never thought.." he said.

"If you want to get in, there's a ventilation gap that opens every morning and evening. He was only open for 1 minute. You can choose who goes in, who stays."

Dean and Alan looked at each other.

"Let me go there. You're back with the others" Alan said.

Dean shakes. "Let me. You'll be emotional hearing his words later" Dean refused.

"If it turns out he's the bad guy, how about it?" ask Alan to worry.

"I'll just get you out" replied Dean casually.

"All right then."

Dean touched Alan. His friend immediately vanished into the storage room.

"I've heard a mechanical noise here. Soon the vents are open and they're gonna get dirty air out of here. After that, just take a new air."

"Okay, I'm ready!" shouted Dean.

"Hehehee...." The foreign voice chuckled at Dean's words.

Before long, Dean heard a loud noise on the wall to his right. Dean darted in that direction.

Justright. A mid-size rectangular window, slowly opening. Dean's approaching. The hot air was still gushing out fiercely from the inside direction. Dean can't get in.

As soon as the air thrust weakened, Dean wasted no more time. He darted in as fast as lightning. Dean could now feel the cramped and warm air earlier, having replaced the cool air flow of the morning that was sucked in.

Dean continued following the narrow passage of the vent. Until it arrives in front of a propeller that is rotating at a constant speed.

Dean hesitated. Should he pass the propeller or not.

"Why so long? Pass that propeller. Or you'll be stuck in that hallway forever!"

The foreign voice entered Dean's head.

Dean got ready, calculating the motion of the ventilation propeller's rotation.

1.. 2..

Syuuut....

Dean sped past the propeller, just as the ventilation window was closed.

"Nearly," he murmured.

Dean was still floating in the air. Look around him. He was floating in a vast place like Hall. But there's nobody there.

"Where are you?" shouted Dean.

"I'm in the room in front of you. Open the door if you want to come in." replied the voice in Dean's head.

Dean floated low. He could see the closed door at the end of the room. Dean flew there.

Dean tried to open the door handle. But the door didn't move.

"It's locked! Do you know where the key is?" shouted Dean.

"So you're at the door? My advice is one! Never step on the floor in front of that door. Or your life ends today...."

"Well?!!"

"OKAY. I can float on it. Thank you for your warning. Now tell me where the key is. Or do you know how to open it?" ask Dean.

"The key should be all around. Unless taken dead by the last guard...."

"Whatchu mean? If you don't know how to open it, isn't it a waste for me to come in? You can't get out either!" grouse Dean.

"Son, didn't you just say you needed shelter from the sun? I've helped you. What's wrong?" deny that voice.

Dean's down. The person behind the door is not wrong. He didn't ask Dean to open the door that locked him. But somehow, without realizing Dean wanted to open the door.

Shuuuttt!

Alan came out and floated next to Dean.

"What's wrong?" ask Alan.

"The man is locked inside. But I didn't find the key."

"He didn't ask you to take him out. Why should it be opened?" asked Alan astonished.

"Some, I don't know. But I think we're gonna need his help to get out of this world" Dean replied.

"Haha...."

There was laughter in Dean and Alan's head.

"How did you two get in? Isn't the hallway narrow?"

The voice was silent, not replying in the slightest.

"Can you use your laser to cut that door? Or the wall next to it?" ask Dean.

"I'll try!" said Alan.

Alan tried to cut the door with a laser beam from his eye. But he was pushed back because the light was bouncing and hitting his shoulders.

"Akhhh... fucking wall!"

"You're hurt. Drink this first and recover yourself."

Dean picked up a cup of immortal water and handed it to Alan. His shoulders were burning and emitting smoke with the scent of barbecue.

Dean approached the wall next to the door. He tried to cut the wall with his finger. If it's made of stone, Dean should be able to cut it.

"Can't either? What is this wall made of?" muttered Dean.

"Maybe the same material as the door. Metal is solid. But the wall is not given safety like a door. Let me try it again!" said Alan.

"Have you recovered?" ask Dean.

"Hmmm...." Alan nodded.

He floated towards the wall Dean had tried. The laser eye cut through that wall.

"It worked!" exclaim Alan pleased.

"Continue, Alan."

"Okay" answered Alan.

He cut the wall one meter wide, 2 meters high.

It didn't take long, the job was done. Dean helped to lift the wall so as not to fall to the floor that might trigger an active trap.

Dean lifted and placed the pieces of the wall on the supporting beams that ran over the Hall.

Dean headed for the broad wall. Alan had already entered. Dean came in.

Alan was fixated in front of a drooping body and chained to the wall. His two hands were drawn with chains to the right and left. Both of his legs were also in chains, but were still tracing the floor. His body was slightly pushed forward. Two chains tied his hands together, keeping them from falling.

Carefully, Dean approached. Raised head bowed, covered in long, disheveled white hair.

"Akhc!"

Dean and Alan were shocked. That guy's already a skull.

"You're dead. How did you call us here?" ask Dean.

"I didn't call anyone. But I think you're being called by a signal from my crest. Only my countrymen can know that."

"You're a star nation?!"

Dean and Alan were shocked. The two looked at each other and Alan quickly cut the chain that shackled the body. Dean kept him from falling to the floor. The body is now floating in the air.

"The floor of this room you can step on" he said.

Alan and Dean put the body on the floor. Dean pulled out a water jar. The body was doused with eternal water.

"Is Sunil awake?" dean asked through a voice transmission.

"I'm up. Sorry, just fell asleep." said Sunil.

Dean pulled Sunil out. He was immediately shocked to see where they were standing right now.

"Is this the fortress we saw?" tanyakanya.

"This is not a fortress. But maximum security prison. And they locked one of our people to death here." Dean explained.

"What?"

Sunil soon found the body that was being watered with eternal water all over his body.

"We have to wait for the body to recover" Alan said.

Syyuuttt....!

Sunil took everyone out.

"You can be free here."

"But don't leave the room. The floor outside is full of traps!" Dean warned.

Friends surprised. And nodded in understanding.
