Leon began to overtake the most rear trading caravan. He was sure, it was not his caravan. So he precedes, and pursues a line more ahead.
It was a very long caravan. Leon passed one by one. Then one wagon ahead, out of line and turn right. The other carts behind him, followed. Because the caravan cut its way, Leon had no choice but to wait for the line to pass.
"It seems like they are trading in this border town. Then which city did Mr Ammar take his caravan to?" muttered Leon.
A few moments later.
The line is finally over. Leon drove the train. The tail of the caravan in front was already invisible. Luckily the road ahead had no other branching, so Leon only needed to follow the winding path in front of him.
15 minutes later, Leon finally finds a caravan cart he knows. There were also 2 guards controlling them. He's getting excited.
"Master!" shouted Leon at the 2 bodyguards guarding behind.
They looked towards the voice that was calling. A very nice passenger train followed behind them.
"You?!"
Leon grimacing.
"How did you get behind?" ask a guard with his hers.
"Is my wife in front?"
Leon ignored their questions. The guards nodded.
The joy on Leon's face could not be hidden.
"Thank you."
Leon goes straight out of line and takes the side road, to catch up with Jane.
The two bodyguards were a little confused by the situation. Were they not so friendly before? Why is her husband in the back? Did they fight? Does it have anything to do with Leon saving Mustafa's wife?
But that thought they never spoke. Their job is to control the caravan. Protecting from the bad guys. Not taking care of personal things. They're back in the back.
Leon found the wagon. With a happy expression, he called out....
"Jane!" call him after matching the old wagon.
The 40-year-old man who was controlling the old wagon, turned his head towards him. Clearly surprised to see Leon ride on a very nice passenger train, and emerge from behind.
"You...?!" That's all that said.
Leon's eyes bought wide when he didn't find Jane in the wagon. The one who was controlling the cart was the man who left the goods there.
'Did he sell this cart? Who is he following?' leon thought he was panicking.
"Where's Jane?" ask Leon rudely.
"Ahead." The man pointed forward.
Leon took the train again. Passing through a cart full of stuff. He saw 2 men at the place controlling the horses. That's Mr. Ammar's men. Leon nodded, then passed through.
There were still 7 more carts to check on. Jane didn't know who to ride with, Leon didn't know. But he has to find her. And take her to move into this train.
Leon saw a very nice wagon full of stuff.
'Ahh, this must still belong to Mr. Ammar. How many things he carried' Leon thought amazed.
There were 3 more carts and carriages in front. Excitedly, Leon passed through that stuffed cart. Her eyes were looking for Jane's shadow ahead.
There were 1 cart and 2 passenger trains in front.
'Did Jane ride on people's trains?' inner worry.
"Bk.ck.... Let's run a little faster." Leon said to the horse that brought the train.
"Leon?!"
A familiar voice, stopped by his ear. Leon, who had already passed the freight wagon, sighed at the horse to slow down his run. He was looking for the origin of the sound from the cart he had just passed earlier.
"Jane!" exclaims happily.
"Just return control of the wagon to its owner. You can come with me and sit comfortably here" Leon said excitedly.
Jane frowned and was a little confused.
Now replace the confused Leon with Jane's words.
"Whatchu mean? I fell asleep! A border guard who wanted to hitch a ride to the city woke me up. He's the one who showed me the way here."
Jane widened her eyes in disbelief. How can someone just sleep in a conversation? Jane's never seen that before. So he just kept quiet and kept control of the horse pulling the cart.
"Hey, why are you still quiet? Return the harness to the owner. You can sit comfortably here!" call Leon impatient.
"I'm the owner" Jane replied flatly.
???
"What do you mean?" leon didn't understand.
"Your friend gave you this and that train" Jane replied again.
Leon was completely silent now. His eyes blinked a few times. Didn't believe his hearing.
"Mustafa gave us a wagon full of good stuff and a cart for us? How rich is he?" muttered.
"Hey...! You're blocking the way, sir!"
The sound of someone's angry rebuking, resuscitated Leon from his daydream. In front of him stood a wagon of goods in the opposite direction. The owner saw him angrily, as Leon took someone else's path and blocked his path.
"Ah, sorry..sorry.." said Leon who realized his mistake.
"Hurry away!" Reply the man in the cart before him was angry.
A guard deftly helped launch the road. He stopped the wagon behind Leon. Before long, Leon can get back in line. And the caravan went back on their way.
Through noon.
"The destination city is ahead!" the guards shouted information.
"Aahhh. My stomach is hungry." Leon spoke to himself on the train.
In the afternoon, then the trading caravan completely stopped the journey. The wagons were lined up in a wide and long place. As it was prepared to accept merchants from outside the city. That place is really crowded. Although it was late afternoon, there were still many visitors and people who passed by.
Following other traders who began installing lanterns, Leon also began installing lanterns to light their carriages and carts. The place was bright.
"So it looks like a night market" Leon said with a smile.
Jane approached Leon in her carriage. He brought 2 pieces of bread and a pot of water.
"How did you get this bread?" ask Leon.
"Buy with the last money. Remember, you have to be able to sell things. Or we'll starve!" answer Jane ketus.
Leon felt helpless. He didn't want to serve Jane who was still irritated by their misunderstanding. So he chose to bite his bread slowly.
"Hemmm. This is a really good loaf!"
Leon's eyes twinkled. The bread has it. And it contains minced meat seasoned with spicy spices. Leon liked it very much.
Jane smiled at Leon's expression. But he still felt a little irritated.
"Do you want to say that my bread is not good?" attack Jane.
Leon jerks. The sweet expression on her face instantly disappeared.
"No. If we had meat, I believe you could make bread this delicious." Leon shakes.
"I'm sorry. I haven't been able to buy you meat."
Leon felt guilty. How could he give such a look? While Jane may even be eating meat this time.
Jane doesn't mind it anymore. He chewed on that really delicious bread while smiling faintly.
That night the caravan members rested quietly. The loyal guards stood guard. Jane moved to sleep on the train. And he's fast, 'cause he hasn't slept since last night.
Leon didn't bother him. He sleeps in the coachman's section, so he can watch their cart. Leon doesn't know what it is. He'll check it out in the morning. Now he just wants to pay for his lack of sleep.
