The Essence Of The Darkness

The Essence Of The Darkness
Episode 119: Marry Me

The question was floating in the air, and Elana was stunned by it. His eyes met with Akram's eyes, and were fixated on the face of this man in front of him who was smiling gently at him.

"Married me, Elana. Be wife. Be the mother of my children. I may not be able to promise happiness all my life or give the whole world to you. But I dare promise that I will be a faithful husband. Me who is only for you, soul and body. I promise to fight my hardest to make you and our children happy later,"

Akram's words sounded so sincere, even with his earnest eyes. It made Elana's chest rumble, her tongue my tongue unable to say the word.

However, Akram did not wait for Elana to say the word. For now, she used the Elana residence as an opportunity to express her feelings, dispelling Elana's doubts, so that when the woman gave her an answer, Elana did so wholeheartedly and would not regret it.

"I told you before, didn't I? Even though you are not sure about your love for me, my love for you is big enough to support our marriage" Akram peeped at Elana's finger with a serious expression. "I've never had such a strong determination to marry a woman before. Maybe I had intended to do it in my youth, but at that time I was still unstable and immature. Now, my whole decision has been well considered...."

Akram stopped his words, his body moving away slightly, creating a rustling sound that broke the silence of the treatment room. The man turned out to move his hand to reach into his pocket. And as his hand moved out from there, a small, gleaming golden box clasped in his hand.

"I've pinned an engagement ring for you, a legacy from my mother that she said should be given to my true love" Akram took Elana's left hand, the jewel ring was still there and it was softly dyed. His hand opened the small box inside and showed it to Elana.

Elana's eyes widened when she saw a pair of beautiful rings glittering in the box. One was large and plain without decoration, and the other was smaller, with beautiful pink diamond eyes that were very pretty to decorate there.

"This ring I've been ordering to London since I decided to marry you a while ago. They put a rare diamond stone in this ring. The Vivid Pink, this diamond is the only one in the world. Its beautiful pink color is a very rare type of diamond, and can only be found in the Koffefontein mine in South Africa," Akram let Elana enjoy the beauty of the ring she showed and continued her sentence with a smile.

It seemed like he had managed to choose the best for this woman. Before, there was so much expensive jewelry she gave to Elana, but she never showed any interest in them at all. Only this time did Elana's eyes widen by a twinkle of fascination when she saw the wedding ring chosen by her.

Beautiful, right?" Akram brought the ring box closer to Elana's lap. "Konon, the beautiful pink color in this diamond is the result of marine mineral deposits and meteor fragments that have hit the southeast coast of South Africa." Akram took the ring out of the box and brought it closer to Elana and showed it to the woman. "Look, on the inside of this ring is engraved my name, and vice versa on the inside of my ring is also engraved my name. I already have the size of your finger and I think the size of this ring is just right, but it would be nice if we tried to pair it...."

Without waiting for Elana's permission, Akram grabs Elana's hand and pairs the ring on the ring finger of her right hand. And just like her engagement ring on the left hand, it was very fitting, beautifully attached to her finger.

"Really, right. Very fitting," Akram looked satisfied. The man clasped Elana's hand tightly. "If you accept my proposal, we'll set a date as soon as possible, then I'll ask the best jeweler to add a date engraving on the inside of the ring, so...,"

The sound of sobs was heard from Elana, making Akram who had focused his attention on the ring immediately raise his head in surprise. "Elana? You why?" tanyanya panic.

Elana's sobbing sound grew louder as if she could no longer hold it. He pulls his hand from Akram's gang and uses it to cover his face. Elana herself did not know why she suddenly wanted to cry out loud. His chest felt tight and the feeling within his soul was turbulent as if it was about to spill. Then, without being able to resist the tears had already poured into his eyes.

"You why? Where does it hurt? Are you sick and want to vomit again?" akram's voice was filled with anxiety as the man gripped both sides of Elana's shoulders and slightly distanced the woman's body to scan her.

Elana shook her head. He then ventured to open his two hands that had originally covered his face, showing his face wet with tears.

Akram's anxiety instantly doubled compared to before. Elana was crying so hard. Is she in pain? Was baby...

"I'll call the nurse..."

"I'm ready,"

The two sentences were thrown almost simultaneously. Elana's voice was softened and spoken quickly and disguised by her sobs. But, of course Akram heard it. And what was digested by his brain made his body freeze completely, even his hand that was about to press the nurse summoning button stiffened as if it could not be moved.

Slowly Akram turned his head carefully, his eyes staring at the figure of Elana who was still sobbing in front of him. His forehead wrinkled, while Akram's eyes glowed between bahagja and fear. Afraid that he just misheard.

"What Elana? Can you repeat your words?" Akram forced himself to ask in a raucous voice, forcing his heart to be ready to listen to any bad answer from Elana.

Even if she had just misheard and it turned out that Elana had rejected her proposal, she had already decided she would not give up.... Then why is his heart beating so fast, beating his chest cavity so much that it hurts? Is she so afraid of this woman's rejection?

"I'm willing," this time Elana seems to have been able to control herself, her sobbing has subsided a little, making Akram able to hear her words very clearly.

"What are you ready for, Elana? Tell me clearly," Akram's voice turned resolute as the man completely forgot the nurse's summoning button he was about to press and brought his body closer to Elana, his gaze sharp and demanding, while his facial expression was so dark.

Had Elana not known close to Akram up to this point, she might have fled in fear to face Akram's dominant and intimidating attitude. But right now, Elana clearly knows that what Akram wants is clarity and answers, which is why Elana will give what Akram wants willingly.

"Yes, Akram. I'm willing to marry you."

What Elana said in a trembling voice and was hit by a sobbing that began to harden again was a promise. A promise to trust Akram and start a new chapter in his life with the man. The bond of marriage is something sacred, a form of shared responsibility to mutually surrender and take care of each other's hearts and try not to hurt.

By answering yes, it means Elana has been willing to assume the responsibility, as well as Akram. This was not an easy decision, but Elana's heart which immediately felt light after she gave Akram 'Yes' answer, was a beautiful clue that signified that Elana had made the right decision.

Elana raised her head to look at Akram, but her tiny body had suddenly been grabbed and pulled into the man's arms all of a sudden.

Akram's arms were so strongly wrapped around his body, while the man's head lowered towards him, anchoring his face to sink into the softness of Elana's soft hair. Then, Elana felt Akram's body shake, the man's shoulders tremble, leaving Elana flabbergasted with a face sinking into the man's chest.

"Thank you" Akram whispered in a voice trembling. "I promise to take good care of you, Elana." Akram's voice sank, swallowed by a sob that rolled up to the base of his throat but managed to be held in time so that it did not slip from his lips.

Akram cried silently, while Elana, who returned Akram's embrace by wrapping her tiny hand on the man's sturdy back, did the same.

The two people who tied the promise, hugged each other with shakes of feelings resonating at the same frequency, shedding a sense of belonging to each other, in a blanket of relief and happiness.

"Will you sleep here?" Elana tried to widen her foggy eyes as she drowsy towards Akram.

The effects of the medicine entering his body had apparently started to react, making him yawn incessantly.

When Akram finally managed to overcome his emotions and let go of his embrace of Elana, the man let Elana lay her head on the pillow and lay down, while she was still sitting on the edge of the bed, looking at her lovingly.

"Of course I'll stay here. Already, don't think of anything else, you're now leaning on me and I'll take care of everything for you. Sleep," whispered Akram softly, bowing to kiss Elana's forehead, and his firm and warm hands gently stroked Elana's hair, cradling the woman in a sense of comfort that increasingly drowned her in the arms of drowsiness that was getting tighter.

Akram continued to gently rub Elana's hair, his eyes watching the beloved woman with affection, and waited patiently until the woman closed her eyes.

Akram's lips parsed a smile as he recalled how Elana had accepted her proposal. The woman has not expressed her love clearly, but Elana has admitted that she is jealous of him.

Jealousy is always caused by a strong sense of belonging. And if Elana is jealous of him, it means that she wants to have him. And a sense of belonging, whether it be on things or on humans, can only arise if that person loves.

That means that Elana stayed a little convinced so that the woman would confess her love to Akram.

Akram knew that he had to hold back a little bit of his patience to have the woman. It was not at all suspected that he, an Akram Night who would usually grind everything mercilessly when it was not in accordance with his wishes, could last so long and be patient only for a woman.

But it's worth it, isn't it? Gaining true love is just as important as trying to soften your heart and change your bad attitude to be your best, for the sake of your loved one. Isn't that the true meaning of love? To turn us into better people?

His feet were almost reaching the floor when he felt Elana's hand clutching the end of his shirt, preventing him from leaving.

Akram turned his head, and his eyes were fixed with the dim eyes of Elana who was still foggy covered with drowsiness.

"Don't go" whispered Elana slowly, her voice hoarse because it had fallen in her sleep. It's just that, Akram's movements, even though they have been made as carefully as possible, still keep him awake again.

Akram breaks down smile. The man stepped down from the bed, stood by Elana's head and bowed to give her a kiss on her forehead. Her heart was delighted that Elana wanted a closeness with him.

"I'm not leaving. I'm just going to sleep on that couch" Akram said slowly, whispering to a sulking child.

Elana glanced at the large black sofa that felt very far away from her. Somehow, after the emotional moment they went through together once Akram proposed to him earlier, Elana was still not ready to let go of her closeness with Akram.

They're getting married. A lifetime will live together in sacred bonds. And Elana, needing to embrace Akram to make sure that all of this is real, that she has made the decision that is best for her soul and body.

"The bed is big enough. You can sleep here if you want...." Elana shifted her body to the other side of the hospital bed and offered.

Elana's unexpected offer left Akram stunned. For some reason in this one day, Elana unceasingly shocked herself. However, the shock Akram was currently suffering from was a beautiful shock. Although she knew that it was not easy for Elana to offer to sleep in bed with him. Can be seen from the cheeks of Elana red extinguished, clearly visible even though this room nuanced dim of the lights that illuminate the bed side.

"Ha... just sleep," continued Elana quickly when she saw Akram staring intently at her. Really, Elana just wants to hug without any sensual charge in it. He didn't want Akram to get him wrong with his offer.

Elana's words made an ironic smile appear on Akram's lips. Well, it's clear that Elana's offer isn't a sensual temptation. Akram knows he can't be too hopeful. Elana just offered to sleep hugging on the hospital bed.

Not that if Elana offers more, Akram will have the heart to take that opportunity. Although his body screams full of desire, but it is still clear in Akram's mind that Nathan's doctor advised him not to touch Elana first before the condition of the fetus in the womb is strong and stable.

Akram may be a man of passion and will usually take what he wants cruelly, but as a father-to-be, he will take what he wants, never would she intentionally hurt her child-to-be who is currently trying to survive and thrive in Elana's womb.

Mata Akram went down the hospital bed and weighed. Hospital beds for VVIP patients are indeed made larger than their usual size for the convenience of the patient, can accommodate three small children side by side or two adults together.

Perhaps only Nathan would dare to nag him tomorrow when he finds him sleeping in this hospital bed, while others would not dare...

Akram rubbed Elana's forehead gently, then nodded his head. Although hugging Elana might torment her body, she knew that her heart would be at ease.

"Alright, I'll sleep hugging you," he decided in a whispering tone.

Afterwards, the man climbed onto the bed, spread his arms to the side so that Elana could enter into the arms of his arms and lean against his chest. He tilted his body towards Elana and Elana tilted her body towards him. The two leaned against each other, with arms around the body of their partner, allowing that physical closeness to send peace to the soul with a stillness that felt so sacred.

But that closeness, after all, made Elana realize how passionate Akram was towards her. Hence, Elana raised her head, then looked at Akram with an apologetic look.

"I'm sorry I'm too weak for you right now" he said in a stammering tone.

Akram lowered his head, putting on his smile back to calm the woman down.

"Don't think of my body, Elana. My body has its own will and sometimes I can't control it" Akram looked at Elana with irony mixed in with a happy twinkle. "After all, I still have a sane mind. I'm not going to hurt my ailing partner, nor do I harm him." she continued in a mysterious tone.

Akram's statement made Elana frown and looked at Akram curiously.

"Happy me? Whatchu mean?" tanyanya fast. Every day everyone, even Nathan's doctor was acting mysteriously about what disease he was suffering from. They all dodged, blurting out meaningful words that seemed to cover something up.

Now Akram says it will not harm him.. does that mean.... Elana's disease condition is very severe?

Unaware of the fear that was raging in Elana's heart, Akram kissed back Elana's forehead and hugged her tightly.

"Because you accepted my proposal. I guess it was time to say this," Akram slowly let out a long sigh, his own hand tightening his embrace to Elana's body, as if afraid that the woman would run away and leave after hearing her sentence. "Elana, you're pregnant with my child" she continued slowly, with a cautious tone
