The Essence Of The Darkness

The Essence Of The Darkness
EOTL eps 34: The Promise of Familiarity

When Xavier finally left the room, a waiter came shortly afterwards to deliver painkillers and warm water compresses to Sera. Sera deliberately ignored him, remained lying on her side and curled her back to the door, pretending to sleep even though she was still awake.

After the maid left, Sera finally braced herself to get up from the bed, then sat down by the bed and stared doubtfully at the medicine and compress.

Actually, the pain felt by Sera, is not that heavy to make him have to take painkillers to relieve his pain.

Whatever Sera hated Xavier's actions, she admitted that Xavier was kind enough to treat her on their first night's bed. The man was clearly trying hard not to hurt the body in the process of making love earlier.

The man was so patient, guiding Sera, helping her, and only uniting himself with her after Sera was completely ready…

Sera's cheeks instantly flushed red as she recalled her first intimate experience with a male, her first with Xavier. Truly Sera did not want to think about that, but unfortunately her brain and memory were desirous of another, bringing flashes of scene after scene that made her whole body hot with constant embarrassment in her cultivation.

Sera sighed many times and tried to expel those thoughts from her mind. His eyes turned back towards the medicine and compress that had been placed by the waiter beside the bed. He finally decided to consume the drug provided, just just in case the pain later turned out to appear later.

Of course Sera checked the medicine before taking it, still afraid of being poisoned unknowingly by the extremely cunning Xavier. He took a deep breath when he read the brand of medicine he later recognized. Types of generic drugs that are known and safe enough to be consumed.

Xavier would definitely not harm the body of Sera who was being prepared to conceive her child, right?

After finishing swallowing the medicine with water available in a clear glass on the nightstand next to the bed, Sera stared again at the white ceramic bowl with warm water and compresses available there. His forehead then furrowed deeply, filled with confusion.

To compress what exactly is this? Is this for his head? Or any other part of his body?

After all, Sera only felt an uneasy ache, a sense that was left after being touched by Xavier before, and that unease was still within her limits.

The thought of Xavier making Sera's cheeks flushed again. He finally forced himself out of bed, wrapped himself in a blanket and forced his feet to step to carry his body across the room to the bathroom whose door was located in the corner of the room.

A hot shower is the best he can do right now. Besides being able to eliminate the aches and discomfort in his body, Sera really wants to be able to remove the traces of Xavier plagues that are still left in his body, dissolving them with water and throwing them away so far that they are not left alone.

"You think I can't satisfy my woman?"

Xavier uttered in an offended tone to respond to Akram's earlier words. The man finally decided to put the vodka bottle in his hand and leave it on the bar table before then stepping towards Akram and slamming his body on the big sofa in front of Akram.

Akram thinned his lips half mocking.

"You kicked your wife out of bed, didn't you? What's even more sad, you were kicked out on the first night of your marriage. You need to know, throughout my marriage with Elana, never once have I been kicked out of bed," Akram continued in an arrogant tone.

"You seduced Elana to melt first, just married her. That's why your wedding bed isn't a problem" Xavier said in a cynical tone.

Akram chuckles. "And you still hold fast to that sacred principle of yours. I remember you asking me to appreciate Elana by marrying her first, and then demanding her body. Because of that woman's principle of respect, did you marry Sera even though you knew that she hated you so much?" ask Akram later.

Xavier's stunned. "Is that what you see of Sera? That she hates me so much?"

Akram shrugged his shoulders. "How do you think? An inexperienced fool reading facial expressions though, could definitely see how that woman looked at you with grudge and hatred. In fact, at your wedding ceremony, instead of looking happy, Sera was more like she was holding herself back with all her might so as not to run away and run away from you."

Akram always says honesty and never wants to make small talk, even if it hurts his interlocutor, it will not hold Akram to launch his sentence.

"Is that so?" Xavier smiled. "But, come to think of it, all women always seem to want to run away from me. That's what has often happened in the past" he continued.

Akram looked at Xavier with a disgusted expression. "Are you now getting ready to express your feelings about your love story in the past?" tanyanya fast.

Xavier chuckles. "I've never had many women, unlike you."

"Like me in the past. Not anymore, I'm quite satisfied with one woman alone, the best woman." Acrylic corrected quickly. "After Anastasia, I had a hard time opening my heart to any woman, not just because I was worried about the fate of those you might kill cruelly, but also because I didn't find a woman who had enough quality to encourage me to open my heart. Before I met Elana, I paid the women who served me with luxuries and facilities and I thought it was a fair exchange. Didn't you do the same? I see you have a lover in the past who always appears with you present to important events. You certainly didn't force those women to accompany you under threat, did you?"

"The woman who stood by me in the past can be counted on the finger. Unlike you who give a schedule and grace period to women and change with a new one every time you get bored," said Xavier in a slightly mocking tone.

Akram raised his eyebrows. “I wonder, where are your women that can be counted with that finger? I don't see them appearing everywhere, did you kill them all because they proved unfaithful?” ask Akram with curiosity.

Xavier grinned. “Do you think I like killing people for no reason? They all disappeared because they were immersed in their respective lives. They are not from among celebrities like your women before Elana.” Xavier's smile turned mysterious. “Well, there may indeed be some who deserve to be killed because of their outrageous behavior, but, most of them still live.”

Akram watched Xavier's expression, then finally asked a question that had been waiting in line on his tongue ever since.

“Then, how about this one? Your wife? You give her your last name, it means you give a privilege that you don't give to another woman you've been in a relationship with. Surely, you married her not only because she carries a strong genetic twin on her body, right? Because if that's your only reason, I don't think you should bother taking the complicated steps of marrying her and so on. You can simply do a baby tube procedure with a surrogate mother who can be paid a sum of money to get out of your life after giving birth to your child. In fact, this surrogate mother does not need to know your name and identity. Isn't that easier, than marrying a Serafina Moon who is clearly bound by a past grudge with you, and hates you?”

Xavier was pensive, as he opened his mouth later, a streak of sadness appeared in his eyes.

“I always thought that Sera had a little something in common with me, and I wanted to keep her with me. Marrying her, making her the mother of my children is one way of tying her up so that she cannot escape me.”

Akram looked at Xavier carefully. “Does this mean, you have more feelings for him?” For a moment Akram cleared his throat as if it was difficult to throw his next question sentence. “Do you feel the same attachment I felt to Elana? Do you love Serafina Moon?”

Silence stretched in the air after Akram uttered the question sentence into the air. Xavier himself chose to keep the silence so as not to leave, the man even looked down and pensive as if trying to examine his own feelings.

Then, when Xavier finally lifted his head, there was a confused expression that was rare enough to appear on Xavier's face.

“I don't know. I don't know about love. I just feel like being with her,” she replied briefly.

Akram snorted at Xavier's floating reply, but he cursed at him. Xavier's heart may be too dark to feel love. In fact, it could be that the man was already in love, but did not recognize the feeling because he had never felt it before. Wasn't that what Akram felt? Time will answer everything.

“Good. Let's just say he's special enough for you because he can make you want to be with him. Is that feeling permanent? How about after she gives birth to your children later and you get stem cells from your child's placenta to transplant to you?”

Xavier took a long breath. “For now I don't know.” Xavier emphasized the honesty in his voice, the man looked doubtful before continuing his sentence. “Even I might not live to answer that question at a later date. Transplantation of spinal cord is a high-risk medical process. Although everything was done well and thoroughly, I could have died on the operating table in the process, or even die in the recovery period after transplantation due to the rejection of the body due to incompatibility with the donor who has just been found later.”

Xavier paused his sentence, when he spoke later, his eyes looking at Akram seriously.

“Akram...” Xavier stopped talking again, as if he had trouble saying. Meanwhile, the doubt that was only a speck on his face grew even more intense as the man continued his sentence, “If anything happens to me later, then, I hope that you and Elana will bear my children and wife in your protection, making them your family. I have many enemies who might attack them if I'm not there to protect them. Only you guys are strong enough to keep them.”

Akram could not say. His eyes looked at Xavier who somehow looked so sad and lonely in his perfect appearance. At this moment, Akram could see Xavier's fragile and exhausted side, as if the man was exhausted from bearing the weight of the whole world on his shoulders.

It took a while for Akram to finally be able to make a sound from his throat that seemed to be blocked.

“Link me I promised,” said Akram later, in a firm voice with no intention of denying.

The movement on the side of his bed teased Sera from her deep sleep.

Earlier, after finishing a nice warm bath, Sera put on one of the available nightgowns in the closet, then poured her body into the comfortable soft bed, curled up behind a blanket and immediately lulled by a deep sleep due to fatigue.

I don't know how long Sera had been asleep, for sure, her consciousness began to wake up again when she felt a warm body infiltrate her bedside, get under her blanket and hug her tightly from behind while sticking her front body without pause on Sera's back.

“You didn't compress yourself? It was still intact at the table,” Xavier whispered furiously then with whispering lips close to once in Sera's ear. The man then slipped his hand under Sera's arm and gently rubbed Sera's lower abdominal area. “That's to remove your discomfort here,” she continued later in a softly seductive tone.

Xavier's brash touch made Sera gasp. His own hand instantly reflexively moved gripping Xavier's hand on his stomach, trying to get rid of him. Unfortunately, again, Sera lost strongly, Xavier flinch, frustrating Sera and finally performing childish actions by trying to elbow the man to stay away.

“Keep away from me!” Sera was half panicked. His consciousness was still not fully summoned from his deep sleep that had felt comfortable. But, one thing Sera knew, Xavier let out a dangerous nuance that left her filled with bad premonitions.

“Why are you so distracted?” xavier asked in a mocking tone. “I just asked why you didn't use your compress,”.

Sera snorts. “I don't need that compress. Thank ye. I also took a warm bath..” Sera shrieked and unsuccessfully resumed her sentence as Xavier suddenly lowered his head, exhaling hot breaths in the area of his neck, before then giving a hot kiss there.

“A-what are you doing?” Sera asked in horror as she felt Xavier's eager body pressing down on the back of her body.

“I just smelled my wife,” Xavier's voice was hoarse, full of thick sensual tones. “Hmm... You are very fragrant, the smell of soap mixed with your typical fragrance is very tempting, making me want to devour you.” Xavier suddenly uses his powers to overthrow Sera's body and quickly, before Sera can resist, Xavier puts himself on Sera's body and traps her.

Sera looked up, her cheeks were flushed red and her breathing began to gasp as her eyes met Xavier's eyes which began to fog full of desire.

The man watched Sera's face, then his expression softened full of smiles watered by the blaze of desire to unite.

“You said you were okay. In that case, I want to have my wife again as much as I am.”

While saying his sentence, Xavier lowered his body urging Sera while his lips grabbed Sera's lips, clenching, scowling mercilessly with a skill that made Sera unable to resist anymore.

Apparently, the pain was only felt in the morning after Sera woke up later.

When the sunlight penetrated the curtains of his window and the movements in his room disturbed him deeply, Sera finally opened her eyes and realized that there were two servants in the room. One was cleaning his room, while the other was seen putting a tray full of food on a large table near a sofa located on the other side of the room.

Sera tried to get up from the bed, then frantically realized that her blanket had sagged to the waist and displayed her body in a urian condition. His face was flushed red as he looked towards the two maids who were wearing flat expressions as if pretending not to look, then he turned his face again while waiting in agony until the two servants finally finished their respective tasks and left the room farewell.

After being alone in the room, Sera tried to move her body and was about to get off the bed. He grimaced when he felt his waist and some other areas of his body ache and a little pain.

His innocent body was forced to return wrapped in a sheet of blankets when he staggered to his feet, then his eyes stared incisive, miris, looking at her slumbering dress just like that on the carpet that stretched to cover the floor of the room after being thrown away by Xavier earlier.

His faint memories had now become clear and brightly lit. Xavier came back to the room in the early hours to touch her again.

The second time was even more blazing than before because it felt that the man was giving up a bit of his control and touching Sera without being held back again.

Sera's hand moved around hugging herself and rubbed her arm with a frown.

Maybe that's why Sera felt more sore this morning….

When Sera was still busy with her own thoughts that, without warning, her bedroom door suddenly opened again, making Sera's heart almost escape from her chest cavity in shock.

It was Xavier who had apparently entered the room and closed the door behind him with a fixed gaze towards Sera.

The man looked refreshed this morning, with his ever-increasing charmed looks. Under the shining sun and giving her light, Xavier looks like a handsome creature from a fairyland that every woman dreams of with a heart longing for love.

Sera's eyes were rubbed with Xavier's eyes and a sense of annoyance instantly filled her when she realized how opposite she looked to Xavier's. The man looked fresh and perfect this morning, while Sera looked tangled and pitiful.

Was the man not tired at all after this morning satisfied himself with using Sera's body?

Xavier of course noticed the stern look Sera threw at him. However, the man did not comment, instead issuing a command sentence with a slightly firm tone.

“Be sure to take a shower, have breakfast and get ready,” Xavier moves his chin motionlessly towards the folds of Sera's well-appointed clothes on the table in the room. “We will leave the country and go home this afternoon.”

Sera widens eyes. “P-home? But... What about Aaron? Are you going to leave it here?” her impulsive question was filled with hope.

Sera instantly regretted having asked that question without a second thought when she realized Xavier's dark-turned expression with a sinister flame of anger that escaped from her eyes.

“Unfortunately, I will not release your Aaron just like that here as you see fit. Aaron will come with us.” Xavier finally spoke slowly with his molars hardened and tightly clenched. “You must be happy, because he'll be on our plane home this afternoon. Maybe you can even spend time on the journey with nostalgia with him,” Xavier continued later with a mysterious friendly attitude that even sounds very terrible.
