Xavier did not immediately reply, the man pensively staring at his two daughters lying quietly in peace in the incubator box.

His heart was inflated by the warmth. It was as if all her feelings of love were overflowing and focused on those two tiny, beautiful creatures. Xavier feels like a mind-boggling devotee. Although his encounter with the two creatures in this world is still short, but Xavier knows for sure that he loves his two children very much.

This is the kind of love where she is willing to give up everything for the happiness of her children, this is the kind of love where she will be willing to offer herself as a protective shield for her children. It is a type of infinite love, which grows out of the feeling of a happy father to his children.

It is possible that this love has actually been growing for a long time, even when he knows the existence of these two children growing in Sera's stomach. Perhaps this love has been nurtured much by little when she accompanied Sera's pregnancy from her flat stomach to her large belly with two growing babies there.

Now, as she gazed towards her two children, the love that accumulated slowly during Sera's months of pregnancy finally exploded, overflowing uncontrollably.

“If I use stem cells from their placenta. For some reason.I felt like I was snatching something that should belong to my children. You said that aplastic anemia can be lowered.I'm afraid that in the future they will get a derivative of this disease. What will they look at me like? I am a father who is supposed to protect them, not only has brought down this disease, but also stolen the stem cells that should be their right.”

Doctor Nathan let out a long breath. Xavier's thinking had a point if the man looked at it from his negative angle of course, of course he could not completely agree.

“We hope that it doesn't need to happen. Aplastic anemia is partly derived from genetic factors. But it is not always passed down to every one of your descendants. There is still a great opportunity for your children not to get the disease. I promise that I will monitor them closely even since they were babies like they are today. So, if there is the slightest indication, we will find out quickly and can handle it early. However, didn't I tell you that your children have each other to help them? They can help each other when it comes to spinal cord donors. In twins, let alone identical twins like your two children, the match is almost one hundred percent.”

Xavier drew his face closer to the glass, watching his daughters change and his expression grew even more anxious as he spoke later.

“But what if they both get sick? They won't be able to help each other, at that time, they'll need those stem cells, won't they?”

Doctor Nathan let out a long breath. His hand patted Xavier on the shoulder and repeated his words. “Xavier. Are you aware that your illness could take your life? You could have died. If you do, won't you be a sinner? How can you leave your frail wife and your two young children to live in this world and survive alone without a father protecting them?”

Doctor Nathan spoke his words carefully, trying to persuade Xavier to accept the thought he had suggested to the man. “As a doctor, I always put a priority scale to my patients. Those who are the most critical and the most severe and most in need of help must get treatment first. If I as a doctor had to assess the severity between you and your children, wouldn't you be the one who needs help the most right now? You are sick and your condition is getting worse by the day, even though you relieve yourself of the pain by taking your own medicine. If you don't get an operation soon, you won't be saved. As for your two children, they are medically healthy. Their blood test results and examinations showed good data. They are normal and fine.”

Doctor Nathan let out a long breath. “I told you that I will monitor them and will not release them from my supervision. If something happens later that we are afraid of, we can try our best to help your children. Who knows if in the future there will be the latest technology or there are results of your findings better than now?”

Nathan's doctor's persuasion seemed to be. The man looked up and looked deeply at what the doctor had said into his mind.

In the end, Xavier let out a long sigh. His tensed body was filled with various thoughts that lingered a little as the man seemed to let go of the burden of his mind.

“I will talk about it with Sera later,” she replied in a slow and deep tone.

Doctor Nathan couldn't hide his big smile. If Xavier says that the man will talk to Sera, then he has managed more than halfway to persuade Xavier to agree to the operation, because Sera will certainly support Xavier very surgery to heal himself.

“I know you need to talk to Sera, so I won't urge you more than this,”. Doctor Nathan stepped back, about to leave and gave Xavier time to enjoy the precious time of looking at his children. However, before Nathan's doctor went too far, Xavier suddenly said his name.

“Nathan.”

Nathan's step immediately stopped. From Xavier's voice turning serious and dark, he knew that this man was going to discuss something serious. That was why he turned his body around and focused his attention on Xavier.

“What's up?” tanyanya.

Xavier thinned his lips.

“He's not a doctor Oberon. The man was obviously Aaron in disguise.”

Xavier's words made Nathan's doctor frown.

“Are you sure?” ask again.

Xavier nodded his head. “I'm sure. I can read someone's emotions and urge them to the point that they can't lie to me.” Xavier spoke in a stark tone. “I'll execute it.”

“You can't spill your life all you want. It's about Aaron anyway and it's related to Sera. Don't you want to talk things over with Sera first?”

“Sera is not thinking about Aaron. Especially since she found out that Aaron was paying people to hurt his baby, she almost never raised the conversation about Aaron in front of me. After all, isn't Sera already in love with me? I think Aaron is just the rest of the first love of his past that doesn't deserve to be in his mind anymore.” Xavier quickly. The talk of Aaron being linked to Sera always made his mood deteriorate until his expression turned dark.

“Stay, Serafina has a closeness in the past that we can not just penetrate. Although Aaron helps Sera with bad motivation to brainwash Sera and make her a weapon of revenge, but still, in the past, the, Aaron has a role to play in saving Sera and making Sera feel indebted to him. If you kill Aaron just like that and don't tell Sera, she can hate you later if she finds out later.”

“I will keep it a secret and bring it to the grave.” Xavier was stubborn.

Doctor Nathan let out a long breath.

“I don't have much experience in the relationship between two humans, let alone one that concerns marriage. However, one thing I do know for sure, if there is a secret between two humans in a romantic relationship, that secret will be a time bomb that can explode at the wrong time. Trust me, Xavier. There is no eternal secret. I think you should speak frankly with Sera after this.”

Doctor Nathan is watching Xavier seriously. “I know you want to keep Sera feeling and not hurt her. I know you don't want Sera to get hurt when you find out the truth about Aaron. That's why you decided to keep your knowledge of Aaron a secret against Sera. You did it to keep Sera's past memories good and not broken to pieces.”

Nathan's gaze looked very serious. “I think it's time you stopped keeping everything that concerns Aaron from Sera. The fact that Aaron has impregnated Anastasia and supported Anastasia traps Akram, the fact that Aaron has teamed up with Roman Dawn to brainwash Sera into becoming a tool of revenge loyal to their family, Sera has a right to know. Who knows, later if you are forced to hurt Aaron, Sera will understand and will support you? Or, at least Sera can understand why you did it all without blaming you too much.”

Xavier was pensive for a moment, but the man chose not to refuse or agree. He looked at Doctor Nathan with a sharp look later.

“If you want certainty on my guess, you can see the results of the blood test later. Indeed this was a bit delayed because Sera gave birth in an unexpected moment and distracted my entire attention. But that doesn't mean I forget it. I'll ask my men to take Aaron's blood today.”

“Did you remind doctor Oberon about this?” nathan asked doubtfully.

Xavier nodded his head. “I told him that I would do a blood test on him and he wouldn't be able to run even if he tried.”

“Then assuming that he really is Aaron, he must have realized that you had suspected him.” Doctor Nathan looked anxiously. “Are you sure that he didn't have a chance to escape?”

“I won't repeat the same mistake of letting it slip away. Around him, my guards were on guard. He won't be able to escape from the escort of my highly skilled men.”

Doctor Nathan nodded his head. Xavier's words had made him a little convinced, but as a doctor, he would not make a decision without seeing the real evidence in plain sight.

“I will decide what my actions will be like after I see the results of the blood test. After all, Doctor Oberon is an employee of this hospital and my men. If indeed the Oberon doctor who is now Aaron in disguise, does that mean that the corpse found by Akram yesterday is a corpse.... Doctor Oberon?” Doctor Nathan's voice was a little doubtful. After all, talking about his colleague who used to live and interact with him turned out to be a corpse, feeling a little disturbing to him.

“The body was the corpse of doctor Oberon who operated on his face so that it resembled Aaron. If blood tests prove that Aaron is Oberon's doctor, Aaron is guilty of first-degree murder for his planned murder of Oberon. In the end, he will still face the death penalty.” Xavier narrowed his eyes with a grim expression. “The fact that Aaron was this close to disguising himself as Oberon's doctor to approach Sera, shows that the man had really been obsessed with having Sera. I'm going to step up the guard at this hospital while my entire bodyguard is going to keep Aaron tight. If the blood test results come out, I will clear it immediately.”

Doctor Nathan nodded his head.

“I volunteered to take Aaron's own blood. I have to be absolutely sure. If indeed it will be proven that this is Aaron in disguise, then I will fully support you, whatever your decision.” Thinking that Oberon's doctor, his innocent fellow doctor has been murdered and viciously forced to have his face operated on before being exterminated makes Nathan's heart a little piqued with anger. “I think, for the crime committed by Aaron, he deserves the punishment.”

He blinked his eyes to gather his consciousness which was covered in a thick fog and was hard to lift. His throat was sore and dry. At the same time, a strong hand squeezed his hand gently.

“You want to drink?”

The voice was familiar, making Sera turn her head immediately and her gaze immediately rubbed with Xavier sitting on the edge of the bed, close to her.

Sera nodded her head and Xavier immediately brought a glass of warm water with a straw, then raised Sera's head slightly to help her drink.

Sera finished the water in her glass and smiled with satisfaction afterwards, she then turned her head towards Xavier and asked the first question that instantly filled her head.

“How about the twins? Are they okay?”

Xavier put the glass on the table, then smiled broadly.

“They are very healthy and fine. Now they both are sleeping well.”

Sera looked doubtful. “But... they were born prematurely. Is there no problem?” ask her slowly in a timid tone.

Xavier shook his head. “They are very healthy for a child born prematurely. I saw with my own eyes how healthy they were. I've also seen the results of their lab tests,” he said in a convincing tone. Xavier then grabbed Sera's soft hand, then brought it to her lips. “You don't need to worry, Sera.”

Sera commented a smile on her lips. He knew that Xavier wouldn't lie to him just so he wouldn't worry. The man did not appear to be overwhelmed with the burden of thought, which seemed instead a happy expression mixed with a wide smile. Just by looking at his expression alone, Sera could tell that the man was a happy father. Only, there were dark circles under Xavier's eyes, as if the man had no time to sleep.

Sera's hands stretched out and rubbed her husband's cheeks.

“What about you? Did you get enough rest?” tanyanya gently.

Xavier replied to Sera's question with a big smile. Glad that the woman was watching.

“I'm fine. I did not sleep because what I did since yesterday was to go back and forth from this room to the child's room.” Xavier rubbed his hair. “You don't know how much I can't make decisions. If I was in front of our children's room, I thought of you and rushed to accompany you. However, now that we are with you, I want our children to be here too so that we can get together.”

Sera nodded her head, her fingers rubbing Xavier's cheeks. The man looked pale and as intense as anxiety thickened in the layers of his heart.

“I understand how you feel. But, after all, you have to put your health first. You should take your time to rest, Xavier. Have you forgotten that your turn to feel the pleasure of parenthood has not yet come? Later if our two daughters are out of the incubator room, we need a lot of energy to open our eyes all the time and lack of sleep.”

Xavier grinned. “I can't wait for that time to arrive,” whispered in earnest tone. The man then took Sera's hand which was still rubbing her cheek and squeezed it gently in his grasp. “You know, I already thanked you back then. However, I still feel less.” Xavier brought Sera's fingers to her mouth and gave her a soft kiss on the knuckles. “Thank you Sera, for giving birth to our twin daughters safely, and thank you for being strong and being okay.”

Sera nodded her head. “I've made it through my critical period.” Sera's gaze turned extremely soft as she spoke in a cautious tone towards Xavier. “Not now...is it your turn?”

Xavier stared straight into the depths of Sera's eyes. “What do you mean?” He could already guess what Sera had said, but he wanted to hear it directly from the woman's ears.

Sera put on a full smile unfortunately to the man before her.

“Now it's your turn to beat your critical time. Me and the twins, we've all managed to give you what you need to heal.” Sera lowered her tone. “Doctor Nathan says that the twins' stem cells are stored in the placenta bank and ready to be used whenever you're ready. So, when are you going to do the operation?”

Xavier looked at Sera fixedly. There was absolutely no doubt in Sera's eyes over her offer. During Sera's pregnancy, they argued several times about the use of stem cells from the twins' placenta. Although his goal was to first marry Sera and impregnate her for the sake of obtaining the stem cells, Xavier now did not want Sera to think that the reason was just that. Xavier loves Sera. Even now, after the woman became the mother of her children. His love became even deeper and could not be expressed in words. If that was the case, there was a sense of guilt that plagued his heart when he thought about the stem cells, making him feel like he was taking advantage of Sera and the twins, just for his own safety.

But Sera herself wants him alive. This woman wanted Xavier to accompany her to raise their children. Also, the words of Nathan's doctor had penetrated Xavier's soul before, making him agree on the scale of the priorities the doctor had said.

Yep. Xavier decides to perform the operation, for the sake of Sera and her two babies. Later if something unexpected happens in the future regarding the health of his children, at least Xavier is there to accompany Sera and in the twins.

“I will do that operation as soon as possible. I'll talk to Nathan's doctor later.” Xavier made his decision quickly. The man then squeezed Sera's hand again. “You know I haven't thanked you for this one. You and the twins will most likely be my lifesavers. All my life I owe you.”

“Xavier.” Sera shook her head slightly. “You don't have to thank me. Do you know that? I gave the twins stem cells for selfish reasons for my own sake. I want my husband, the man I love, to stay alive and stand by me. I'm getting a much bigger advantage than you in this, so you don't have to thank me. You don't owe me anything.”

Xavier smiled, his gaze getting deeper and more serious as he spoke later.

“Sera... There's something I want to tell you.” Xavier quickly decided on this one. There are no secrets between them. At least when later the operation was unsuccessful and Xavier died on the operating table, Sera already knew everything without anyone covering up again. “What I'm telling you about Aaron. There is a secret about him that I have kept meetings from you.”
