“I don't think Xavier will wake up even if you ask him to speak, the effect of the medicine is very strong. So, you better just go to sleep after seeing the state of Xavier and just invite him to talk later when he was awake, huh?” Doctor Nathan halted his steps in front of Xavier's treatment room door, staring at Sera carefully. “I'll take you here only. Login.”
As he spoke, Nathan's hand moved to push open the door of Xavier's room. There were many bodyguards standing guard outside the door and they simply nodded politely to Sera, allowing Sera to enter the room.
Sera nodded her head at Doctor Nathan, then stepped inside the open door and left the door of the treatment room closed behind her, her eyes immediately fixed on the figure lying stiff there. Xavier closed his eyes tightly, lying on his back and not moving in the middle of the nuances of the room whose lighting was deliberately made dim in order to maximize the patient's rest period.
Sera stepped closer very carefully, trying to move as slowly as possible so that her footprints that stepped on the carpet as she walked closer did not make the slightest sound.
For some reason, seeing Xavier who was lying weak like that, did not relieve Sera's heart at all. In fact, it felt as if a dripping beam of pain was gently drenching his soul space with pain, then as if opening up all the barrier dikes there and flooding it with a piercing pain.
He loves this guy.
Sera no longer hesitated. Seeing Xavier lying with all his weaknesses like this makes him realize that Sera loves Xavier so much, to the point where he does not care whether Xavier is looking good and healthy with all the advantages, so that he will be happy, or was Xavier lying in pain with all his weakness. Two sides of Xavier, Sera loves everything.
Violating the orders of Nathan's doctor who told him to lie down on the sofa, Sera even stepped up to get closer to the edge of the bed, stood there and watched Xavier's pale face lying soundly.
Then, driven by a whispering impulsive desire to have her near her husband, Sera climbed into the bed, inserting herself in the cramped space of the bedside, she then clasped back into her husband's body as if seeking refuge from him, before closing her eyes and sleeping.

“You're up.”
The foreign voice was heard greeting, making Aaron who was closing his eyes while adjusting to the consciousness that drove away the fog inside his head. Alertly, Aaron turned his head towards the source of the voice, and his eyes widened as his gaze immediately met with the blue eyes of the Rasputin doctor who was watching him closely.
His entire face felt numb and Aaron held back the urge of his hand wanting to move touching the thick bandage on his face.
“Is everything going well, Doctor?” tanyanya.
Doctor Rasputin watched the bandages that wrapped around Aaron's face that made him look like a mummy wrapped in white weights, then his lips grinned.
“Do you doubt my abilities?” ask them rhetorical questions that don't need to be answered.
“Kira.... when can I get my new face that has healed perfectly?” Aaron asked another question curiously.
Doctor Rasputin grinned wider.
“With my techniques and abilities, it won't take long until you can open your weights, then get your new face after your wounds heal. It probably only takes less than a month. During this time of treatment, you will be here, in my basement treatment room sheltered from the outside world. That might be quite a relief for you, right?”
Rasputin's doctor's payment is indeed extraordinarily expensive, but it all includes security and confidentiality and the guarantee of patient safety until it heals properly. Aaron is grateful he took the services of doctor Rasputin for himself. This man has an underground bunker that is not easily tracked by anyone.
For at least this one month until he recovers properly, he will be safe and free from the threat of the hitmen who pursue him.
“Thank you, Doctor.” Aaron spoke slowly, struggling to get used to his stiff lips.
Doctor Rasputin watches over Aaron and cannot hide his satisfaction. Aaron's facial surgery went very smoothly and even he himself can't wait to see the results when the surgical wound on Aaron's face has healed later.
“When your burden opens later, you will be the most handsome and charming man in the whole world. There will be no woman who will not bend her knees under your charm,” he said then with a sense of confidence that is almost proud.
Aaron tried to smile behind his bandage, but his entire face felt numb to the extent that his brain seemed to lose control over the sense of taste in the area of his head.
“I don't need to be the most handsome in the world, Doctor. I just need to beat one man's good looks.” Even speaking was difficult for him, making him have to take pains when he was about to say his sentence slowly. “I also don't want to bring women around the world to their knees. There's only one woman I want,” slowly.
Doctor Rasputin chuckled. “Hah, for the sake of a woman. Didn't you know that women are the main reason for the downfall of men? Have you ever studied and looked at the history of the past? Historical records have proven that women were indeed created to be the weakness of men who ultimately destroyed them. Don't you remember the story of Cleopatra that made Marc Anthony lose his glory in an instant? Or perhaps the story of Anne Boleyn who shook the throne of Henry VII and created one of the darkest scandals for the British Empire? If that's not enough, maybe you should read the story of Mo Xi that made emperor Jie infatuated and ended up destroying the Xia dynasty in the Chinese empire?” Doctor Rasputin thinned his lips as if taunting towards Aaron. “As a strong man, you have sacrificed everything for a woman, do you think it is not sad?”
Aaron was stunned, but the man then shook his head steadily.
“No, Doctor. For this one woman, I will not regret anything,” she replied later, in a straightforward tone full of confidence.

Xavier opened his eyes as a glint of sun from the open curtains greeted his eyes, pulling him from a deep sleep and forcing him to open his eyes.
His forehead wrinkled when he realized that the room he was in had been brightly lit, touched by the tendrils of sunlight that seemed to be impatiently greeting.
His head was still slightly dizzy, making Xavier involuntarily raise his hand to massage his temple in an attempt to ease the dizziness, but his movements were held back by the infusion tube in his hand.
Infusion?
Xavier stared at the hose on the back of his hand connected by the infusion and a second later, his sharp memory instantly gave rise to a vivid visualization of everything recorded in his memory at this moment.
Ah he fainted when he was going to see Sera….
Xavier moved, trying to bring his body up in a half-sitting position on the bed. But something was holding his body. Xavier's eyes were directed downward to his side and immediately widened when he realized that Sera was lying on his side.
The woman lay outside her blanket, wearing only a thin nightgown and curled up as if cold next to Xavier's recumbent body. Sera's legs crossed slightly, hitchhiking haphazardly over Xavier's legs, while the woman's tiny arms were also stretched out, circling Xavier's waist tight with her head sinking down the underside of her armpits.
Xavier was stunned for a moment, as if he had lost his ability to speak.
Why is this woman here? But…. Sera looked cold not wrapped in a blanket. Was this woman lying all night on her bed in this position? Why would Nathan's doctor allow that?
With a frown furrowed in anxiety, Xavier finally moved his hand, trying to wake Sera from her mouth. She shook Sera's shoulder slightly before her hand moved to touch the side of the woman's face and rubbed it gently.
“Hey, wake up petite rabbit.” Xavier whispered softly in a raucous voice, trying to pull Sera's consciousness to the surface.
The call was successful, the woman blinked her eyes for a while, then raised her head towards the source of the sound that woke her from.
His eyes immediately met Xavier's eyes, and Sera's cheeks immediately turned red when she realized that she was caught sneaking onto the man's bed.
“How are you doing?” Sera asked timidly, while she pushed her own body up, about to get off the bed.
However, Xavier's hand held him back. The man stroked Sera's shoulders gently and spoke in a slow voice.
Sera maintained her body movements, staring at Xavier in a daze.
“But... but your body.. and your infusion..”.
“I'm fine.” Xavier interrupted again, speaking softly to reassure Sera. “Doctor Nathan handled me well. Come on up here.” The man widened next to his arm, giving Sera a chance to get into his arms.
Finding Xavier who was able to put on a smile with her sparkling beautiful eyes looking at Sera, how could Sera possibly refuse him? In the end his heart melted and he lifted his body up, then infiltrated Xavier's arms and shoulders and let the man embrace him.
“Hmm, it feels great once.” Xavier reviewed his satisfied smile unabashedly. “Are you okay, Sera? You're not cold?” tanyanya.
Sera shook her head. “No. I clung to you, so I'm not cold.” Sera answered quickly. As soon as he opened his eyes, his mind immediately churned with the sentences he had compiled earlier. Right now, he had to be quick to tell the man before he would lose his nerve. “I... I have something to say to you. It's serious so I want you to listen to it,” he said later, a little laid out.
Xavier lowered his head, frowned and looked at Sera who was looking up at him.
“What's up? Why do you suddenly want to talk seriously in the morning when we just woke up?” There was a beam of alert light in his eyes when he saw the round determination in Sera's eyes. But, the man was able to endure it and replace it with a gentle smile.
Sera took a long breath. “I want to make a new deal with you.” After establishing himself, Sera finally spoke.
This time the frown on Xavier's forehead instantly formed within. His eyes narrowed as he looked at Sera with misgivings as well as curiosity.
“What deal? Do you want to eliminate all our previous deals and get out of my life?” guess Xavier then with a bitter tone of voice.
Sera immediately shook her head. “No! It's not. I want otherwise.”
“Backside?” Xavier thins his lips as if impatient. “I suspect that you thought of this deal after seeing the condition of my dying body, is it really?”
“Y-ya.” Inevitably Sera expressed honesty and nodded her head. Indeed, that is the main driver of proposing this deal. “I want you to agree to one new clause in our deal, instead, you.
Xavier's eyes narrowed as if impatient. “You better tell me now, what clause are you trying to negotiate with me at this time?” half an urgent.
The man may be used to intimidating. That's why his attitude is really urgent and pushy at the moment, making Sera so incredibly nervous. He tried to reassemble the sentence he had assembled, then challenged Xavier's eyes and spoke slowly.
“I want to add a clause in our deal. About the stem cells of the placenta of this child. I want you to be obliged to use them for a spinal cord transplant, for your recovery.”.
Sera finally managed to speak her words. Doctor Nathan says that Sera should try to persuade Xavier to use the stem cells for himself. However, Sera knew Xavier very well, if he had the will, the man was very stubborn. The only way to get Xavier to change his mind is to force a deal on him.
Xavier's eyes widened and his lips thinned when listening to the clause proposed by Sera. The man then raised an eyebrow and went back to comment on the irony-filled smile on his lips.
“Did Nathan force you to say that to me?” he asked, a little angry.
Sera shook her head quickly. “Doctor Nathan did advise me. But I filed that clause of my own volition,” the rebuttal was quick.
“Hmm,” Xavier murmured softly. The man then tilted his body, facing directly towards Sera until their faces were facing almost stuck.
“What's wrong? Are you starting to think about my safety? Is it now that you see me sick, that you're afraid of losing me?” tanyanya half scoffed.
Sera thinned her lips, feeling angry that Xavier did not take her words seriously. He then moved his hand and cupped the sides of Xavier's cheeks to his left and right, while he himself looked up, making their eyes blend close together.
“Listen to me, Xavier Light. I will not let you run away and take responsibility for your children after they are born. Do you want your children to be born without a father like you? Is it so irresponsible of you that you selfishly think about your own death and forget that you have contributed to giving birth to your child into this world?” Sera spoke in a stern tone, filled with accusations and a hint of anger. “You can't just leave your children, not while I'm alive and be their mother. So, listen to me carefully. You have to agree to my clause or not at all. If you don't want to sign an agreement that you will use stem cells from our baby's placenta to transplant to you, then we better cancel all our agreements this time. After all, you also threw away our terms of the deal by deciding to hunt, Aaron, right?”
“Are you threatening me, Sera?” Xavier thins lips dislikes. Of course he doesn't like it. He never allowed anyone else to drive his decisions or actions before.
Sera steeled her heart, staring at Xavier's eyes deeply.
“Yes, I threatened you Xavier Light. If you don't agree to my clause, then I'll walk out of your life. I might die earlier than you by taking my son.” Sera throws her fiercest threat that she really doesn't want to say. His cupped hand against Xavier's cheek pressed harder and harder, trying to get the man to understand what he was feeling. “I can't raise these kids alone, Xavier. I fear. Please don't die just yet. If you don't want to do it for yourself, at least do it for me and my children.”
