Xavier was astonished, his eyes widened while his tongue was as though he was a hoax, unable to speak when listening to what Sera had just said to him.

Of all his predictions of the different kinds of reactions Sera had in response to his offer of freedom, never in the least did Xavier imagine that instead of accepting his offer gladly, Sera turns out to react in the opposite direction and rejects the freedom given by Xavier to him.

This woman, unexpectedly committed to giving her body to give birth to Xavier's children.

Xavier knew that Sera was a very shy woman, therefore, even in her wildest imagination, Xavier never imagined that Sera would ask to be given a child by her.

That woman knows how to make a child, right? They must engage in intimate situations that bring the soul and body closer together in the process. Is that really all right for Sera?

Xavier clenched his fingers, then tried to persuade Sera back in a persuasive tone.

"I set your father and Aaron free, to let go of all the burdens that bind you to me, not to give you the extra burden of the debt you owe." Frustrated, Xavier's hand moved around rubbing his hair, something he had almost never done before. "Why don't you just follow the straight path I prepared for you and make things easier?" Xavier grumbled, speaking as if to himself.

"I just don't want to owe you anything." Sera insisted, staring fixedly at Xavier. "If you really want to set me free, then you must give me the opportunity to pay the reciprocity you deserve for the services you have given me."

Xavier frowned, the frustration began to overwhelm him even more strongly. "I don't need any reciprocity from you. Don't you understand?" his eras are running out of patience.

Sera sighed deeply to suppress her voice that started trembling.

"Xavier Light, I insist. You can't just divorce me. There will only be one deal that I want to agree on, which is that we break even in terms of kindness. You freed my father and Aaron, so I gave you a son to save your life. I shut myself down for another possible deal, you're gonna have to force me by force if you want to dump me." Sera raised her chin, staring at Xavier defiantly.

Xavier's eyes narrowed, watching Sera closely and realizing how stubborn this frail-bodied female who should have lost her strength was.

Should Xavier take the hard road to forcefully remove Sera from his life, he should not make things difficult for himself. However, Sera's determined face with clear eyes widened and lips thinned as she looked at him waiting for that answer, successfully evocating him.

"alright. I'm gonna have my lawyer change our entire deal clause. According to your request, I will release your father and Aaron and in exchange, you will have to give me a child." Xavier decided in a calm voice despite the bad premonition flooding into his heart.

Things will get complicated from now on. He agreed to these negotiations only for the sake of freeing Sera through the means desired by the woman, for no other purpose.

A child to save his life? Sera doesn't know that Xavier doesn't want her life saved. He wanted to die, die quietly and without burden.

However, if Sera insisted on wanting a child, then she would give it to him. After all, the shadow of having a successor who carried his genetic blueprint, somehow felt very pleasant to Xavier who was a bloodless warrior in this world.

A child is not a problem. His presence would not break Xavier's intention to welcome his death. He was determined not to use the baby's placenta to save himself, he was determined to die.

Even so, Xavier would guarantee the child's life like he guaranteed Serafina Moon's life after she died later. Xavier will make sure they both live a safe and secure life for the rest.

Sera's expression seemed bright hearing Xavier's reply, as if relief was enveloping her.

"So.. You agree?" ask again, trying to make sure.

Xavier smiled a deliberate cynic.

"You wanted to give me a child, and then you accepted the divorce, didn't you? Then I will give the boy to you." Xavier said with a slightly rude unfriendly attitude.

Sera gulps. Suddenly I was in doubt about her decision to fight for this marriage. Despite finally agreeing to it, Xavier seemed displeased and showed his compulsion clearly.

Was Sera wrong to refuse when Xavier wanted to divorce her easily? But, the man had decided to free his father and Aaron, Sera could not have gone waltzing away lightly without knowing thank you, right?

Moreover, when he saw Xavier lying helplessly in a weakened state, he also noticed the illness that was currently eating away at Xavier from within. After all, Sera is a self-knowing woman, she will not behave like an evil woman who runs away from her ailing husband, only to pursue her own happiness.

If she managed to give birth to a child to save Xavier's life, then her steps would be light without a burden. After all, Xavier just took the stem cells from his baby's placenta, the rest of the boy would be in Sera's arms, becoming his only real life companion. Isn't that the best solution for both of them?

When Sera leaves Xavier's life later, she will have a tiny baby who will be her life companion, while Xavier who will most likely live life in the opposite direction from her, he will regain his health completely. A good deal that benefits both sides. But why did Xavier look so grim when he accepted it?

Wouldn't the man have been too fed up with her that he couldn't bear to bond with Sera any longer and wanted to throw her away right now?

Unwittingly Sera, the change in her facial expression at the thought of it all, was under Xavier's misinterpreting supervision. The man thought, Sera was really depressed and was forced to accept herself just for the sake of a demand for vengeance. That was why, his expression turned increasingly cold as he uttered his arrangements.

"In the first place, my lawyer will revise his clause. Then the second, we'll wait until Dr. Nathan can do a blood test. We'll see if you're pregnant or not from the test results" she said later.

Sera lowered her head, clasping her two hands together nervously.

"W-what if I'm not pregnant?" asked Sera in a cautious tone.

Xavier narrowed his eyes, watching Sera without mercy before saying a word.

"Then at your request, I'll try hard to get you pregnant." Xavier looked at Sera deeply on purpose, making the woman tremble to the point of not daring to return her gaze. "And I won't stop until you're really pregnant."

Aaron thanked the truck driver who was willing to transport and take him to the city area, then he jumped down from the truck and took his steps to the sidewalk.

The cold air pierced his skin, making his arms have to move to embrace himself in an effort to warm his body in vain.

Aaron has never been to this country before, but he is familiar with this place because both parents have citizenship of this country before then decided to get married, lived and worked in Russia until Aaron was born. So, despite living away from this place, Aaron follows a lot of news regarding the latest developments, especially those related to the business world.

That was why, he knew that Dimitri Kazak had one of the company branches in the country engaged in the distribution of medicines.

Aaron couldn't have misremembered the address. It's gotta be around here somewhere. Dimitri Kazak is the most powerful mobster in Russia and the man is also the superior of Sabina. Aaron doesn't know how Dimitri could be related to Xavier, but one thing he knows for sure is that Dimitri is an enemy of Xavier Light.

That's why Dimitri infiltrated Sabina to keep an eye on Xavier, right?

If Sabina were to be caught by Xavier's side, or to defect and be on Xavier's side, Dimitri would be very angry and assume that Xavier had dared to lay hands on his men, that meant Dimitri was on Xavier's enemy's side, one with him.

Aaron doesn't know Dimitri. Although they are both in Moscow, but the world of Aaron and Dimitri is completely opposite. Aaron purely works in the business field and handles everything related to Roman Dawn's legal business, while Dimitri is clearly engaged in the underworld and only uses legal business as a cover.

But for now, it's only imaged Aaron's only hope. He only held on to the conditions in which they were both enemies of Xavier, also seeing that they were from the same country. He hoped that with that consideration, Dimitri would be willing to help him.

At least Aaron still has Serafina Moon's heart which could be the way to stab Xavier Light's defense heart. Moreover, Aaron clearly possessed the abundant wealth he had gained from the Dawn family legacy. That would make him have more value in the eyes of Dimitri Kazak, so the mafia would be willing to cooperate with him.

From now on, Aaron will position himself to become an enemy of Xavier Light. He had thought that Xavier had died from the knife he had placed in his chest, but considering that the man had sent his men to come ambush the motel he was hiding in to subdue him, then you can be sure that the fucking guy is definitely still alive.

Aaron knows that he won't be able to fight Xavier Light alone, he has to get allies, and Dimitri the mafia is the man he thinks is worth it to face Xavier.

With gasping breaths and feet dragged away, Aaron steps towards the gate of Dimitri's stately corporate office. The sky is still thick even though the day has rolled into the early hours, and Aaron himself until this moment does not know how he can reach Dimitri Kazak who is at the helm of this company.

His own appearance was very pitiful, with shabby clothes full of blood and sweat, not to mention plus his dirty and swollen face from being beaten before. The guards guarding the company's gate would have thought of him as a vagrant or a lunatic and would have driven him away before Aaron could even make his point.

But Aaron had no other choice, he had to be reckless otherwise he could die hanging out in the streets.

Aaron's breathing began to heavy as he got near Dimitri's company gate. As expected, the security forces appeared to be on standby there. They all looked like ordinary security forces, but Aaron knew for sure that Dimitri's men must have been fully armed.

Approaching them was like risking their lives, but Aaron strengthened his resolve and did not slow down.

"Stop right there!" The voice of one of the security guard leaders immediately rebuked firmly, making Aaron's body freeze stiff automatically.

"This is a private area of the company. Uninterested people are forbidden to approach!" Back the security guard leader gave a warning, while a bright light beam was directly directed at Aaron's face, making him squint and frown with glare.

Aaron raised his hand to the face to protect his eyes from the light and showed that he was not carrying a dangerous weapon that threatened the guard troops in front of him.

"My name is Aaron Dawn," Aaron tried to shout, but his throat felt very sore as if he wanted to tear. The pain sent a terrible pain that seemed to split his head, making Aaron frown to endure the pain and forced himself to continue to make a sound, "I-I came in peace. I want to meet Dimitri Kazak, "he shouted again, continuing his sentence.

Unfortunately, his shout consumed all the energy he had, and it was still coupled with a bright light that illuminated without tolerance right piercing into his eyes, creating a whack of dizziness that made his head seem to be being sawed with a rusty dull saw that paralyzed him slowly.

First of all, Aaron could not hear anything, then the image translated by his sense of vision became blurred and rotated like high-speed gasing. Then as a final blow, darkness immediately took away his consciousness without mercy, making Aaron's body instantly collapse, falling rolling on the grass without having time to express his intentions fully.

Xavier said his sentence calmly, but there was a sensual gesture there that made Sera's cheeks turn red.

"Well, then, we agree." Sera tried to break the awkward silence that lay between them and followed Xavier's earlier words with a sentence of approval.

Xavier's own eyes seemed to trace the entirety of Sera without permission, watching every detail of Sera as if he wanted to investigate and search for weak points that could be attacked.

"As soon as my lawyer prepares the file, you'll get a house in the suburbs that has cool, clean air for you to live in, you know, the house is equipped with loyal household staff and guards who are ready to ensure your safety. Your whole life needs will be guaranteed, and you're free to go out anywhere, to the mall, to the nightclub or to the restaurants and entertainment venues you find fun to entertain yourself with. There are no limits, but I hope you remain responsible and maintain your dignity with your status as my wife." Xavier spelled out his long provisions in a flat voice without emotion.

His reaction was different with Sera instantly widening her eyes, shocked by the decision.

"W-we... won't live together?" tanyanya's confused.

Xavier nodded his head without hesitation.

"If your blood test results show that you're pregnant. Then you'll have your pregnancy safely in the house I prepared for you. Don't worry, I'm also providing medical professionals who will be on standby to help you in any circumstances." Xavier looked at Sera heartlessly. "I won't see you and won't touch you. But I will make sure that I am present when you give birth later. Once the birth process is complete and our child is safely born into the world, then I assume our agreement is over. I'll divorce you soon."

Xavier watched Sera and noticed how Sera's face turned deathly pale hearing her explanation. She saw Sera's lips open, as if she was about to refute her words, but Xavier immediately moved his hand, gesturing for Sera to speak no words first.

"I haven't finished speaking yet" Xavier said in a sharp tone towards the stunned woman. "Secondly, if you're not already pregnant, then as I told you before, I'll make a schedule arrangement to visit you and fertilize you according to the monitoring of your fertile schedule. The rest, if you finally get pregnant, then everything in the first setting will automatically apply" she continued without mercy. He purposely used a senseless scientific language to mention their physical relationship in bed, for Sera to know that Xavier only considers it a scientific obligation to have a natural child.

Xavier could have used an artificial insemination method or a baby tube to Sera, but that means he allows a team of doctors and others to touch the most intimate side of Sera in the process of implementing the method technically. For now, Xavier doesn't want to let that happen. Even he thought that a child born naturally would be better than using other methods that require the intervention of science in the process.

"Xavier's...." Sera said hesitantly then suddenly stopped her words, as if something was stuck in her feelings that were hard to express.

Xavier frowned. "You gave me your terms and I agreed. Now, I've given you my terms and I hope you're being fair by agreeing to them as well." Deliberately, Xavier ignored the expression of protest on Sera's face. "It's early morning, will you leave me alone? I'm tired and want to rest" she blatantly threw me out.

Xavier's cold attitude pierced into Sera's heart, but he could do nothing against her. I don't know what happened to Xavier that caused the man to turn a hundred and eighty degrees and act as if he can't wait to get Sera out of his sight.

But, Xavier had already agreed to the deal he proposed, and that in itself was already a good achievement, right? Regarding Xavier's other arrangements, Sera might need some time to examine it first.

They both need time, and Sera does not want to force her together against Xavier who does not want it. That's why she nodded her head and moved from her sitting position, standing up before then stepping back away from the edge of Xavier's care bed.

For a moment Sera stood hesitatingly there, twisting her fingers awkwardly, but then she said,

"I-I go first" he whispered goodbye.

In response, Xavier nodded his head thinly and closed his eyes, as if he did not want to see Sera again.

Inevitably, Sera finally turned her body around and stepped away leaving the room. The deal was agreed, but somehow Sera's heart felt empty and sick. The pain made Sera's eyes feel hot, filled with stifling tears jostling at the end of her eyes, impatient to slide down from there and fall rolling freely on her cheeks.

"Sera." Xavier's voice suddenly rang out calling, making Sera's hand holding the handle of the treatment room door freeze.

"Y-yes?" With a faltering voice Sera replied, not wanting to turn her head because she did not want her teary eyes to be seen by Xavier.

"Go home. You don't have to wait for me at the hospital. You're useless here and I don't need you here either." Xavier's sentence was uttered with a cruel tone. "Doctor Nathan will call you back to the hospital, when it's time for a blood test to be done."

Xavier's sentence pierced and squeezed Sera's broken and split heart, making the tears she had been holding back from just now slide down, falling dripping down her cheeks.

Sera could only nod her head in response to Xavier, as she was unable to make a sound without sobbing. Afterwards, the woman opened the door of Xavier's treatment room and rushed away, leaving the door closed behind her.
