“Doctor said, it will still take two more weeks until my baby can come out of the incubator.” Elana smiled sadly. “I can't wait to be free to carry him and bring him home,”.
Elana just returned from the nursery to breastfeed her baby. The tiny baby still has to be in the incubator for a while to make sure it is stable.
As soon as the doctor came in this morning to check her surgical sutures, Elana was helped to learn to sit on the bed, and the nurse helped her to stand and walk, all of that worked out easily without complaining one bit.
Sera stared in awe at Elana because behind her fragile appearance, Elana was a strong woman who had incredible toughness.
Not to mention now, with the stitch wound surgery is still new, Elana had to go back and forth to the baby's room to give her breast MILK rations to her baby. The nurse would pick her up in a wheelchair and escort her back to the room once she finished breastfeeding. However, one thing that pleases Elana is that Akram himself often takes the time to drive her alone to the nursery, the man will hug her tenderly full of love when she breastfeeds their little daughter, make Elana feel better and not sad anymore because they have not been able to hug and hold their daughter at will.
“Two weeks won't feel if you're happy. I'm sure time will pass quickly.” Sera smiled as she gave comfort to Elana. The woman sat on a single sofa dragged near the bed where Elana was also sitting on the bed with her back propped up by a large pillow.
Elana returned Sera's smile. The woman watched Sera's face and immediately found out how sparkling her eyes were, filled with happiness.
“Is there any good news I don't know?” elana asked then in a seductive tone.
Sera chuckled, amazed by the sharpness of the female intuition possessed by Elana.
“Xavier and I..” Sera stopped her sentence in embarrassment. His cheeks looked flushed when he connected his words. “We mutually express love.”
Elana's smile instantly widened. The woman clapped her palms together excitedly then.
“Finally!” the thrill expresses relief.
Elana's reaction which showed no surprise at all made Sera's forehead wrinkled in confusion.
“K-you already know?” Sera knew that most likely her love for Xavier might be hard to hide until Elana could figure it out just from observing him. However, seeing Elana in no way look surprised when she heard that Sera and Xavier were expressing love to each other, does that mean that Elana had known for a long time that Xavier loved her?
How could Sera herself not even know about it? Was it only him alone who was completely blind and unaware of Xavier's feelings for him all along?
“Of course I know!” Elana laughed slowly with sparkling eyes. “And not only do I know, Akram, Elios, Credence, even Nathan's doctor and everyone around you knows how much you love each other.” Elana confirmed what was on Sera's mind firmly. “I even got anxious myself thinking about when the two of you would open each other's hearts and declare love.”
Sera smiled shyly. “During this a-I didn't expect at all if Xavier loved me too. I don't see any hint at all of his attitude towards me.”
“Didn't see any instructions at all?” Elana looked at Sera with a surprised look. “Sera, do you really close your eyes and pretend not to know? From the look in his eyes alone, Xavier clearly showed his love for you. When you are far apart despite being in one room, the man cannot take his eyes off you. Xavier always smiled fakely and was polite, even so, the smile never reached his eyes. Only when you are with Xavier really smiles with very soft and affectionate eyes.” Elana touched Sera's hand and held it gently. “I was so happy when the two of you finally expressed each other's feelings. You both deserve to be happy, and I hope all will continue to be well between you.” Elana spoke in a sincere tone, expressing her good wishes like a prayer.
Sera nodded her head, smiling with a warm heart.
“Thank you Elana.” Sera's hand moved rubbing her stomach and Elana's gaze followed Sera's hand movements, fixed onto her stomach.
“Live soon the twins will be born, right? We can spend time together later caring for the baby. I'm sure our children will grow up together healthy,” he said with sparkling eyes.
Sera smiled broadly. The shadow of two cute babies that reflect the physical beauty of her husband certainly makes her heart warm, impatient to hug both of his children in a sling. His hand moved stroking his stomach again, saying the prayer of a mother who wanted her children to be born into this world healthy without any lack of anything.
However, the moment Sera stroked her stomach, suddenly the surface of the upper area of her stomach stiffened and tightened, it felt hard on his palm and made Sera frown due to the sharp pain that followed then behind her stomach that hardened suddenly.
This felt different from the previous kicks of the twins....
Sera looked down at her stomach and suddenly the attack of pain struck her back, this time many times more piercing to make her unable to resist the complaints that escaped her lips.
Did he have contractions? But... This shouldn't be happening right now, right? The content is still too young....
The pain came back and became more and more painful. Sera took a deep breath to ease her pain. Cold sweat started to roll on his temples while his face turned deathly pale. He himself began counting in the heart as taught by his obstetrician in their previous consultation sessions.
“Sera?” Elana who was still holding Sera's hand realized Sera's body was holding. The woman looked puzzledly towards Sera's pale face. “What's up?” ask her slowly with an anxious tone.
“Kurasa.... i Sera let out a long sigh as her stomach tightened again with pain that made her entire stomach seem to be overturned forcefully. “I... it seems to have contractions...” The pain that attacked him made Sera's voice blocked and unable to string words properly.
At the same time, he felt a warm stream flowing down his thighs, down his legs and calves, making him gasp and instantly bow his head to see what was happening to him.
“Sera!” It was Elijah who screamed later when he saw what had happened to the woman in front of him. “Please! Help u! Someone, please!” Frantically, Elana shouted, asking for help from anyone outside her room.

Aaron looked pale. If he got the rest of his last half hour in this world, chatting with Xavier was something he wanted the most. This man might have put on a friendly expression with a sweet smile adorning his lips, but it was Aaron who knew best how poisonous and dangerous Xavier was when it came to his enemy.
Suddenly Aaron's heart trembled, his calmness that he had built up earlier almost collapsing as he imagined lest he had been poisoned by Xavier without him noticing.
Arron sniffed in the air, looking for an unusual smell that might have come from a poison gas, but he didn't find it.
“Why don't you sit down immediately, doctor Oberon?” Xavier raised next to his eyebrows, his sharp eyes scanning the expression of his interlocutor blatantly.
Aaron immediately put on an expressionless face. He knew it was a test. Tests conducted by Xavier due to his impulsive recklessness came to Sera some time ago.
“Ah, fine, I will sit.” Aaron smiled and pulled one of the seats a little away from where Xavier was sitting before then placing himself there and waiting for Xavier's next move.
Benak Aaron immediately tried to assess the situation quickly. Currently he was still alive and had not been poisoned by Xavier, it meant that perhaps he had not been caught as an undercover Aaron. Aaron knows for sure how cruel Xavier is, if he is currently caught as Aaron, the man must have killed him without a second thought.
In that case, it was likely that Xavier had not yet obtained any solid evidence to kill him, and apparently, the man was trying to gather evidence from him.
There's still a chance. As long as Aaron can play a good role, the man will not be able to find his fault.
“You know why I'm interested in talking to you?” Xavier who was still staring fixedly at the Oberon doctor suddenly started a conversation.
“I don't know.” Aaron responded with a calm tone and a polite smile immediately.
Xavier tapped his finger at the table, as if intentionally lingering to create pressure in the air that stifled his interlocutor.
“I see that your past is quite interesting.” Xavier stared intently at the Oberon doctor before him. “Given you had slumped and fell into alcohol addiction, but you can survive and go through everything well. Maybe I need to congratulate you because you have successfully overcome alcoholism and do not need to follow counseling again.”
Aaron raised next to his eyebrows.
“You investigated me?” he asked then, trying not to be seen being attacked. Slowly Aaron leaned his back on the back of the chair to make it look relaxed and not intimidated. “The alcohol addiction I experienced was quite embarrassing, and instead I asked for a permacluman, but in the situation I was in at the time, I needed an escape.” Aaron took a deep breath, as if regretting himself. “However, now I can be quite proud because I can break away from that dependency and be declared clean.”
Xavier smiled and nodded his head.
“Yes, that was a great achievement. As a doctor who lost his future due to an accident, then was able to break away from alcohol addiction and gain a high enough position in this company, I think, your achievements need to be applauded, he said,” Xavier said with a cynical tone.
Aaron frowned. “What do you mean?” tanyanya's confused.
Xavier advanced the body, when speaking, his expression looked dark as he connected his words later.
Xavier watched the change in Oberon's expression carefully and spoke again, “What will the clients in this hospital say if their financial director has a stain on his mental health record as an alcoholic?”
Aaron's eyes flashed. “At the moment I'm clean.”
“Yes. You are clean. However, health records remain health records. You will continue to be listed as a patient who has been counseled for years due to alcohol dependence. It was a reputation flaw that could not be simply wiped out. Moreover, your standing is crucial. What do investors say if they know that an important area such as finance, is held by an alcoholic?”
“What do you mean, Mr Xavier Light?” Arron gritted his teeth.
Xavier raised next to his eyebrows. “I just want to put you in the proper position. Your coworkers and your bosses here may feel sorry for the bad luck that befell you, so they recommend you to occupy an important position in this hospital, as if to atone for your pain with compensation. But I am not that good at heart. Professionalism is professionalism. If you can't meet the standards, then you don't deserve this position.”
“You want to fire me?” Aaron frowned as if in disbelief. “Don't you know, I had an accident when I got the surgery call from this hospital? I had an accident while on my way to work, so whatever position I got after the accident was something that was fair to me.”
“You want to take advantage of the company for accidents that occur due to your own carelessness? The hospital has provided compensation in large enough quantities for you at that time. You certainly still remember the number, don't you?” Xavier narrowed his eyes, staring at Doctor Oberon with a sharp glare, waiting for a response.
Aaron does not remember. It happened in Oberon's past and he didn't even think about checking the doctor's financial records all the way back. How could he remember?
“I don't remember.” Aaron replied in a cold calm tone. “It all has to do with a bad trauma that I want to forget, so I don't want to remember it anymore.”
Xavier grinned. Doctor Oberon's answer gave him the reassurance he needed. The hospital in the past never compensated Oberon in money. Provided by the hospital as compensation for the work accident that befell Oberon doctor is part of the stock of this hospital and coupled with the position as financial director at this hospital.
See how Oberon's doctor didn't talk about the ownership when Xavier threatened to fire him, most likely this man in front of him did not know that he owned some of the shares of this hospital which made him unable to be fired easily, even by Xavier though.
This further strengthens Xavier's assumption that the Oberon doctor in front of him is not the real Oberon doctor. Despite that, Xavier was unwilling to rush into action. It is possible that the brain of the man in front of him is indeed foggy due to alcoholism and his chaotic life after the accident made him not remember the compensation given by this hospital to him in the past.
Xavier knew that he had to gather more evidence before he could confirm his conclusion, and physical evidence such as the results of his own blood tests could certainly be irrefutable authentic evidence.
Xavier shrugged his shoulders and continued his planned lie casually. “Well, it's only natural that you don't remember, because it looks like you spent your money buying so much alcohol and drinking afterwards,”, enjoy how doctor Oberon's hands are clenched by it.
“I'm clean now. Did you forget?” Aaron gritted his teeth. “I didn't expect you to take care of trivia like this just to look for my performance flaw, for the sake of getting rid of me. Is this all because I approached your wife yesterday?” Aaron immediately shoots and takes the risk to challenge Xavier as Oberon's doctor.
It's better that he's obeyed as Oberon's doctor than to be caught in the guise of Aaron in disguise.
Hearing Oberon's doctor mention Sera, Xavier's expression turned dark and sinister, like a killer ready to fire a bullet into his victim's head in seconds.
“Ah I wonder when you will raise this issue. Since you happen to remind me, I'll directly ask you a question. What are you approaching my wife for, doctor?”
Aaron thins his lips and gulps. He knew that he had to master himself so as not to be discovered.
“I admire the beauty of your wife,” her mouth was brave, deliberately challenging Xavier's jealousy to distract the man.
Xavier smiled and his dark expression turned instantly bright. “I understand. Serafina Moon, my wife, is beautiful.”
Xavier's answer was completely unexpected by Aaron until the man could only be flabbergasted. He thought Xavier would vent his anger and jealousy like a madman to him. Unexpectedly the man was even acting so calm and full of smiles?
Xavier looked towards Aaron's confusion and smiled. The man glanced at his watch and nodded his head slightly.
“Half hours have passed. I think I've delivered everything I need to say.” Xavier's eyes stare back. “I'll request an evaluation of your performance and consideration from the board of directors for any reputation defects resulting from your alcohol addiction record. If the Board of Directors gives a recommendation that you do not deserve this position, then you must be ready to pack up and step down from the position of financial director.”
Aaron opened his mouth to protest, but Xavier moved his hand full of firm gestures that he would still speak and not want to be interrupted.
“One more. I'm still not sure that you're completely clean of alcohol. So, you must be willing to give your blood to be re-examined, right? I'll order a re-examination to make sure you are completely clean.”
Aaron's face paled. Xavier is arguably a very skilled researcher and concerned with blood, the man is even more expert. Perhaps because the man was a poison master, then the man understood about blood more than anyone else. In fact, the poisons made by Xavier were mostly related to the sinister destruction of blood.
If his blood falls into Xavier's hands, it's clear he'll be found out!
Aaron opened his mouth to refute, looking for a way to buy time so that his blood was not taken immediately. She just needs a few more weeks, just a few more weeks until Sera gives birth to the damn child of that damn guy!
However, Aaron had not yet made a sound, the door of the meeting room suddenly opened and Derek entered with a deathly pale face.
“What's up?” Xavier knows for sure that Derek couldn't have interrupted his meeting without something crucial. His mind was only on one woman and it made an overwhelming anxiety instantly flood him and scare him. The man forgot his calmness and stood up. “What happened to Sera?” tanyanya.
