The Essence Of The Darkness

The Essence Of The Darkness
Episode 63: Traitor

"Cold?"

Akram held Elana's coat collar tightly shut, then re-embraced and carried Elana into his arms. It was still early in the morning and according to what he had promised Xavier, he would leave Elana at Xavier's house within twenty hours of receiving the antidote serum. Elana had to be left alone, escorted only by her bodyguards and without any close-up guard from Nathan and Elios.

Akram has risked Elana's life in this. But he had no other choice. Moreover, according to what Xavier had told him, the effects of the poison actually began to grow on the third day, as if charging back for the bidder.

When I woke up this morning, Akram found Elana curled up cold and shivering. He calls Nathan and gets the preventive instructions he can to keep Elana's body temperature stable and not decrease more than it should. At once Akram knew that if he wanted Elana to stay alive, he had to humble himself and submit under Xavier's terms.

This morning, they were already sitting together in the passenger cabin of a large Akram car, with the driver driving in front of them, followed by several other large cars containing bodyguards assigned to guard Elana throughout the day.

Akram decides to drive Elana to Xavier's house and hand Elana over to her evil sister with his own hands. He also intends to pose a direct and face-to-face threat, so that Xavier understands that Akram will wage a great war if the man dares to hurt Elana even a single point.

If Akram tried to hide how important Elana was to him so that Xavier would not go after Elana. Now Akram is acting the opposite. He will show Xavier how important Elana is to him, so that Xavier understands the dire consequences if he dares to touch his hands to his prized possession.

Their car entered the courtyard of Xavier's magnificent mansion and stopped right in front of the door adorned with huge pillars overshadowing them. Elana glanced towards the car window, directly staring at the door of Xavier's house that was wide open and frowned when she realized what was there.

Unlike the first day when he came to this place, Xavier seemed to have been waiting as if he was about to greet at the door with formal clothes and a sweet smile on his lips.

Akram snorted when he saw the figure of Xavier at the door. Her hand that was embracing Elana tightened until Elana could feel the grip of Akram's fingers on her skin.

"The crazy psychopath must have heard from his men who were watching secretly, that I would come here myself to take you. He must have been impatient, full of anticipation to provoke," Akram's sharp eyes glanced at Elana. "I hope you don't get provoked by all his behavior" he said later.

Elana raised her eyebrows slightly, while her innocent eyes watched Akram's dark expression. Even the man had yet to come face to face with Xavier, but the wrath of anger already seemed to decorate the hue of his face.

Is the hatred between these two brothers too deep to be healed? To incise a permanent wound whose scar will be carried to death?

"Maybe you have to apply your words to yourself?" Elana asked carefully, filled with good intentions to quell Akram's emotions. His trembling fragile hands were even willing to move to pat Akram's thighs - with no sensual intentions at all - his movements were more like patting a small child to calm down.

Akram could not help but smile full of irony on his lips. If another woman were to pat her thigh like this, without a second thought Akram would violently block the hand, then push the woman away full of disgust. But when Elana touched his thigh without any intention.... Really, Akram really wanted Elana to do it with a sensual touch, rolling her fingers in a seductive motion, then fishing herself out of control.

Akram's hand moved by itself to cupping Elana's face with both palms, his head lowered and his lips urged, wanting to pulverize Elana's ripe plain lips, she said, the last night he crushed all his desire when they made love as if there would be no tomorrow to vent the longing.

The sound of knocking on the window made Akram's body that was about to grab Elana stiff. He stopped his movements, then hugged Elana who looked red, as if he wanted to hide the woman from sight. Akram turned his head angrily towards the window, about to scold anyone who was insolent dared to knock on his car window.

The driver and his men would never dare to do that. So this must be....

Akram's eyes met the figure of Xavier standing by the car window with his wide smile. Turns out this crazy psychopath did it. Xavier of course had trouble seeing through the dark glass of the car, but with his presence near the car and his brazen knock on his car window alone, it was enough to provide an emotional distraction.

Akram lowered the window glass, then looked at Xavier with a thick murderous gaze.

"What do you want?" it was filled with anger.

Xavier chuckled instead, his eyes glancing at Elana who was being drowned in the embrace of Akram, then again looked at Akram with a friendly light full of smiles.

"Hey, be a little polite, Akram. You came to see you and the host was waiting to greet you at the door. But you locked yourself in a parked car right in front of the host's eyes with no intention of getting out. Don't you look around you? Everyone's waiting for you to get out of the car." Xavier's eyes sparkled. "Don't blame me if I take the initiative to knock on the window and stop what you might be doing or want to do in the car," she continued then with a meaningful tone that made Elana's cheeks more red in Akram's embrace.

"Welcome to my humble home" Xavier stepped calmly from the direction of the large bar available in his living room, then put the golden drink in the crystal glass to be served on the table in front of Akram who sat stiffly on Xavier's large living room sofa.

"My sister's favorite drink," Xavier said in a meaningful tone, then placed another beautiful bright pink drink in front of Elana, "Fruit juice for Lana," he added, blatantly winking at Elana in front of Akram, making Elana only able to smile awkwardly under the glances of Akram's eyes that rained sharply on her.

"Te. thank you," Elana exclaimed nervously to break the unpleasant atmosphere. His hand moved to grab the drink glass that Xavier presented to him, but Akram instantly prevented it, clutching Elana's wrist gently to hold it.

"Don't drink anything Xavier gives you. Especially the one that came from his hands directly. You certainly remember that he had a lab that researched various poisons and biological weapons. Who knows what kind of weird medicine he'll put in your drink?" Akram gives advice towards Elana in a clear and contemptuous voice, deliberately letting Xavier hear it.

Xavier seems completely immune to Akram's hateful attitude towards him. The man only smiled broadly, then turned his gaze gently towards Elana.

"The days I waited to see Lana again, there was no way I could use the first second of her arrival to poison her" she lightly tried to convince Elana. The man did not force his guests to drink his dish and chose to move to take a seat position on the sofa which was right opposite to the sitting position of Elana and Akram.

Akram clearly showed his possessive attitude clearly. Even now as they sat on the sofa, Akram wrapped his arms around Elana's waist while his finger touched Elana's pelvis and tucked the woman into her body.

"It looks like you guys made up?" Xavier spoke with a sly tone in his voice. "I purposely kindled the flames over your relationship to make the two of you stir in a quarrel. However, it seems that the flames I lit are less massive, because in a day you have managed to clear the misunderstanding."

Xavier's words made Elana look up and look at Akram in confusion. He saw that Akram's expression darkened again like holding back anger. Akram's face clearly showed that the man understood the implied message of the meaningful sentence spoken by Xavier.

"Acram?" when the man did not speak, Elana ventured to call the man's name and asked what Xavier meant.

"Xavier called me that morning and provoked me, saying that he had given you a free offer and you were so tempted that you kept it a secret from me. He made me think that you were about to betray me behind my back," Akram gave a brief explanation in a flat tone of voice while his eyes stared in utter reproach at Xavier.

So, because Xavierlah Akram provocation became so angry that morning and ended up hurting him?

During this time Elana always heard from people who warned her that Xavier was very skilled at provoking and manipulating other people's emotions. It was unexpected that at this moment he finally felt the impact of Xavier's devious behavior...

Xavier shrugged without any guilt. The man leaned back casually on the sofa and once again commented on the smile that never left his beautiful face.

"I just want to test how strong the bond you're forcing onto Lana is," Xavier returned Akram's sharp gaze with a hidden mysteriousness. "It turns out you managed to tie it up pretty strongly, didn't you? What threat did you tie to Lana's neck this time to make sure she rejected my offer of freedom? Did you take Lana's important enough men hostage to ensnare her?"

"Shut your mouth!" Akram began to get angry and was about to get up from his seat, but his movements stopped because of the tiny hand of Elana that gripped his wrist, trying to remind Akram of his own words earlier that they should not fall in Xavier's provocation.

However, it was not Elan's movements that made Akram forget his anger, but the taste of Elana's fingers that were so cold as ice on the surface of his skin.

Akram immediately gripped Elanana's hand as if trying to share the warmth from her hand to help raise the temperature of Elana's fingers.

"Elana! Why didn't you say? Why are your fingers ice cold?" exclaims Akram while rubbing Elana's fingers with her fingers. His head then turned towards Xavier and snapped furiously. "Wait for what else? Have you prepared the serum for Elana?"

Xavier's eyes were still fixed on Elana, also filled with anxiety that was as intense as that of Akram. Xavier never let a single speck of empathy escape his feelings for others. But now he really felt deep concern about Elana's condition

The two brothers were very different in every way. But, right now both of them were worried about Elana with all their hearts.

Xavier tried to control himself, then turned his gaze back towards Akram.

"You have to meet my requirements, Akram. You have to go during the process of giving the antidote to Lana and let me get some alone time with Lana," Xavier got up from his seat and extended his hand towards Elana while looking at Akram with an annoying triumphant gaze, as if he felt such great satisfaction by forcing Akram to follow his terms helplessly. "Come here, Elana, the doctor will treat and heal you," he took her towards Elana with a slightly haughty attitude.

Elana turned to Akram as if asking for permission and Akram just nodded his head thinly. Of course Akram really did not want to give Elana to Xavier. But for now, Akram had no other choice.

The corner of Akram's eyes saw two medics moving closer in accordance with Xavier's orders, they came by pushing an empty wheelchair prepared to take Elana to the treatment room.

Then, on purpose, Akram pulls Elana to stand with him, then embraces the woman's waist in a possessive manner. Her lips were clenched against Elana's lips with unbearable lust, without giving Elana a chance to refuse. The kiss was highly erotic, involving Akram's highly reliable skills in lip and tongue games, and was deliberately done to give a show to the people who were in the room, especially to Xavier.

So hot was the kiss that everyone who happened to be in the room so wrong behavior made. Even Xavier himself turned his eyes away with a wry smile as he realized that this erotic show was deliberately performed by Akram blatantly to give him a warning.

As the kiss deepened and Akram almost washed away as his passion began to rise, he immediately restrained himself and released his fenced-off lips with Elana's lips helpless under his control. Elana's body was instantly warped and the woman's breath was wheezed, while the entire surface of her pale skin turned reddish in shame.

Akram kissed the head of Elana softly, then sighed the woman's body towards the wheelchair that had been near them and sat Elana there. His hand touched Elana's cheek and then rubbed her in a gentle manner.

"I'll come get you. Exactly twenty hours from now, you'll be back in my arms, "Aram's words are very firm, like an ultimatum that can't be broken by any force.

When Elana's wheelchair was taken away to the treatment room and there was only Xavier with Akram in the room, Xavier turned his gaze from the back of Elana who disappeared behind the hallway of his house and turned back towards Akram who was stepping firmly across the room, about to go to the exit and leave without saying goodbye to the host who is not at all appreciated.

"You can stop by longer if you want. Hasn't it been a long time since you've visited your brother?" xavier's eyes narrowed full of provocation. "Oh, I was wrong. You never even visited me in this house before." she continued in a deliberate satirical tone.

Akram's steps stopped, and when the man turned to look at Xavier, hatred mixed with disgust and wrath so strongly enveloped the look of his face.

"I would never have come to this place if not for the sake of escorting and picking Elana up," Akram implied the threat from his glittering eyes. "But maybe later I'll be willing to come here in the future, to attend your funeral," his his hisses were rough before then stepping away leaving Xavier who was fixated on himself while shrugging with a mysterious smile imprinted on his face.

The figure of Regas, Xavier's assistant, seemed to be stepping quietly in panic, towards the very end of the hallway under Xavier's vast staircase. This is the darkest corner that escapes the surveillance of cctv cameras, also covered in high walls so it is quite safe from the thieves hear.

After making sure the situation was completely safe, Regas then took out a special mobile phone from behind his suit pocket. The phone has been designed custom with a protector that makes any conversation connection done by using it, akab quite safe and free from the threat of tapping.

Regas tapped on the dial number one button, then waited until the voice inside across there replied in a demanding tone as if impatient because it had been made to wait so long.

"How's it?"

Silent for a moment when Regas tried to regulate his feelings to defeat the fear that afflicted him instantly. Moving alone behind Xavier's back would carry the risk of dying in a slow and painful way that was even too terrifying to imagine. Regas had to muster all his courage to speak to the person across there who clearly had the opposite side to Xavier and Akram.

Slowly Regas took a deep breath and exhaled strongly to round his resolve.

"The woman who is being fought over by Xavier Light and Akram Night is already here. I think the plan can be done!"
