EOTL eps 6: First Impressions

Xavier was still fixated on the beautiful clear bead, which reminded him of the pair of eyes of the sinless little boy, belonging to the short-haired woman in front of him.

The woman also looked at Xavier, but instead of showing her charm, she even spread a very innocent and cheerful smile, almost blinding to the eyes.

“Good afternoon Mr. Xavier Light. I am Serafina Moon. I'm here to meet the interview call with you,” he said with a confident attitude and without burden.

That made Xavier frown a little. Two things disturbed him. The first, whether because she was trained or what, this woman managed to display a cheerful image without burden in front of her. The woman named Sera nodded her head, then stepped up with her back straight and a confident attitude closer to the sofa chair opposite Xavier. Sera's eyes hesitated and glanced towards Xavier's wide desk with the seats opposite him being emptied.

It certainly did not escape Xavier's observation. Sera seemed confused why their interview session was conducted informally while sitting on the sofa and not as usual done at the work desk formally.

“I'd rather do a job interview casually. Since I was looking for a personal assistant, not an aide who always did not forget to salute with my back straight when I gave the order,” Xavier reviewed his best smile. “Sit down, let's start the interview session.”

The woman sat down, looking at Xavier with her big eyes that were like a deer. Then, all of a sudden, Xavier's natural instinct as a predator instantly ignited. Makes him suddenly think that if only he could subdue and subdue this woman under him.

Ill-mannered. Xavier does not know why the Dawn family did not do the thing as expected by sending seductive women who are good at seducing, sexy and experienced with women. With such women, Xavier would more easily manipulate them like he had done with others in the past.

Instead of doing that, the one that came to him was even a plain-faced woman with a childlike sinless aura who was coincidentally his weakness.

What about this woman? Was the innocent aura he emitted real, or was this woman actually trained with the intention of making Xavier off guard?

Xavier's lips reviewed the smile, well, maybe he should just sit quietly and see what happens later.

“Thank you. We'll call you later, Sera.” Xavier closed the conversation calmly. His heart was satisfied that he had made his decision. With a deliberate friendly attitude, Xavier extended his hand towards Sera. “My assistant will contact you for the result later.”

Sera who was far below Xavier had to raise her head to look at the man.

“I can't wait for news,” he said in a strong voice, returning Xavier's smile, while his tiny hand moved to greet Xavier's helping hand.

The two human children shook hands and intentionally, Xavier tightened his grip for a moment into Sera's hand before then releasing it.

“I hope we can meet again.”

Xavier spoke as if to make a promise to the back of Sera who had previously nodded her head and said goodbye then stepped away from the room with the door closed behind her back.

For some time, Xavier stared at the closed door of his study. He then stepped behind his desk and pressed the intercom button that connected him directly to Elios' desk.

“Ya, Sir?” it was not until a second that Elios immediately received the call and made a sound.

“What time is the next candidate's schedule?” ask Xavier quickly.

“I schedule each interview session for one hour only with a half-hour break. For now, assistant candidate number two in the next schedule has not arrived,” said Elios directly.

“Cancel all. Send compensation apology from our company to their address,” Xavier decided in a confident tone. Seulas grinned his lips while his eyes smouldered with determination. “I don't need to do any more interview sessions. I've found the right person to be my assistant.”

“Good, Mr.” For a moment, Elios sounded hesitant out there. Then before long, his voice again sounded, this time in a lower tone. “Are you sure of this decision?” ask again.

Xavier's grin is getting wider. “Oh, I'm so sure, Elios. You can be calm because of it.”

Elios looked pacified. From the tone of his voice alone, the man had already shown his disapproval clearly. However, it seems that Elios ultimately chose not to impose his disapproval because he realized that it was not his capacity to ask Xavier to renounce his intentions. His master Akram probably deserved more.

“Need you to know that I will continue to carry out my duties by reporting any of your decisions regarding this special candidate to Mr. Akram.” Elios slipped a warning note in his voice. Akram's master may not approve of Xavier's decision to include a still-unclear adversary in the company. Moreover, the position offered is an important position as Xavier's assistant who will most likely have access to confidential and crucial data of the company. If the wrong strategy and off guard, they may even create a big loss for the company.

“Take it easy Elios. I am sure that Akram will agree with me,” Xavier replied in a confident tone.

However, if Sera was sent by the Dawn family with the intention of getting revenge, it would be a strange thing when she was just sent now, at the time when Xavier and Akram had started to share again.

Xavier's guess is, that they are also eyeing Akram for this revenge attempt.

Xavier knew that Akram must have thought of this possibility. Her foster sister would definitely agree with the decision she made.

Lucky Sera could hold it all her might.

As if the torment was not over yet, Sera still had to walk very far since she did not bring a vehicle when it came to this place.

The distance from the main building to the gate in front is quite far, even for healthy humans, this is not a problem because the pedestrian-only road provided is very cool filled with a shade of giant shady trees that surround and plus views of the flower garden, which is very cool, water showers at various points and ponds containing koi fish that will help so that the footsteps of anyone who wants to get out of this company feel light until they have unconsciously stepped foot to the main gate.

Unfortunately, none of this applies to Sera. He was not well, and it was all driven by stress and anxiety and fear that made his stomach acid struggling and affect his physique.

Not wanting to cause a commotion by vomiting on the sidewalk, Sera forced herself to speed up her steps until she was unconscious half-run when finally out of the gate.

Sera further accelerated her legs, she did not look back, to the lucky because her steps then met a minimarket on the side of the road.

In stressful conditions, chocolate bars, which are a blend of cocoa, milk and sugar, are the most effective food for him today. Sugar can restore energy lightning for his body that is exhausted due to stress. While chocolate, especially dark chocolate contains polyphenol enzymes that can cause happy and calming effects.

This time, Sera was really hoping that the chocolate would help calm her down…

After paying everything at the cashier, Sera put the bottle into her bag, then stepped out of the minimarket. His hand deftly opened the chocolate wrapper, then bit it in a large bite that instantly created a pleasant sensation of sweetness and delicacy throughout the surface of his tongue and mouth.

As if that was not enough, Sera again bit, so continue until the chocolate bar from his hand.

It's calmer now.

Sera sighed deeply while throwing the rest of the chocolate wrapper into the trash through when she exited the minimarket parking lot. Seen there was a taxi that drove towards him and without a second thought, Sera waved her hand to stop the taxi, then entered into it.

After mentioning the destination address to the taxi driver, Sera leaned her head against the back of the seat and closed her eyes.

He was finally able to meet Xavier Night in person. Luckily Sera can cover all her fear with a cheerful mask that is actually her real person. He doesn't know how to get ahead. Whether Xavier was beguiled by the mask he was wearing, or if the man knew everything, but just kept quiet and waited for the moment to ambush him when he was off guard.

Imagining sharp eyes that seemed piercing and so contrasted with that friendly expression and lips full of smiles, made Sera feel tremendous horror.

The trembling instantly enveloped his spine and spread to his nape, making the feathers there stand up as fear re-crawled over his soul.

Xavier's Night. The monstrous monster that had been the source of her fears and nightmares since childhood was finally in front of her. Maybe it is time for Sera to face the person who is the embodiment of the greatest fear of her soul.

Xavier stayed for a long time watching from a hidden location shaded by shady trees in the simple residential complex.

It was her curiosity that brought her here to watch, wanting to see the place where she lived with her own eyes.

It was completely unexpected that Serafina Moon, with all her outstanding educational qualifications, was, it turns out instead prefer to live in a quiet and simple housing on the outskirts of town and instead live in an apartment that is downtown and more accessible.

His hand immediately beckoned to his driver who was waiting for instructions and looking from the windshield of the car, ordering him to run the car and leave this place.

Along with the speed of the car, Xavier picked up his phone, then greeted, still with a smile implied in his tone.

“Dimitri,” he said while grinning horribly.
