The Essence Of The Darkness

The Essence Of The Darkness
Episode 68: Disappointed

Silence stretched in the air with a terrifying aura as Akram's question seemed to be thrown between all of them and created a horror for all the unlucky humans in the room – of course Xavier did not counted in it.

Xavier was the only one who could keep a big smile in response to Akram's already on the verge of exploding wrath. While shrugging, Xavier looked at Akram with an obnoxious attitude.

“Me and Elana have had a very familiar session. And we decided to end the fun session by hugging each other. It felt so peaceful that we both fell asleep, didn't it Elana?” Xavier looked at Elana cheerfully, throwing responsibility to answer to the woman.

Elana's eyes glared furiously at Xavier. This man had managed to convince him that as a brother he loved Akram very much, but loving does not mean that it will not bother him. Xavier behaved like a child, like an older brother who was happy to disturb his sister and make her cry. However, in contrast to children where it will end with the scene of the brother crying and the brother who scolded his mother, who, what Xavier did instead provoked the anger of Akram which would certainly create a very terrible result.

The misunderstood sister could kill the brother who clapped one hand and there was no mother to mediate between the two.

Elana has established herself to help resolve the misunderstanding between the two brothers. However, if Xavier does not try to ease the situation and always tries to make Akram angry and hate him, how can these two brothers be reconciled?

“Elana?”

Akram growled his call in an impatient tone with a demanding tone of explanation. The man looked so angry that he made Elana swallow with nervousness.

That damn Xavier had used an ambiguous sentence to describe what happened between the two of them this morning so that it could be interpreted freely in the wrong direction. Now Xavier appears to have given up responsibility, throwing the obligation on Elana to destroy Akram's prejudice.

“I... I did nothing but... other than....,” Elana's voice stammered, confused looking for the most appropriate sentence to explain what happened between her and Xavier.

“In addition to hugging and calming me, then we fell asleep together while hugging,” Xavier finished Elana's sentence vividly to help Elana explain what happened.

What Xavier said is indeed the truth, but his way of explaining makes things worse.

“Come on Akram, you don't have to urge Elana to say it with her own mouth. You just have to believe what I'm saying. You saw it for yourself, didn't you? Elana couldn't even refute my words. That means what I tell you is the truth.” Xavier continued in a dismissive tone.

The sentence that came out from Xavier's mouth directly affected Akram in a landslide. The shadow of Elana's skinny arm that should only be used to hug her, turned out to have encircled Xavier's body and also hugged him…. The shadow of two human children who fell asleep together while hugging…. All those shadows made his blood boil, roiling in bursting hot bubbles, ready to shatter.

Elana is his and will always be his. The woman can only touch herself as her man. And she can only be touched by him! That was the basic rule that Akram had set on their relationship. Exclusive relationships that might tie forever until they die.

If anyone dares to break the rule, if until there is another man touched by Elana....

Immediately, Akram pulled the gun from behind his suit and pointed it right at Xavier's head. His expression was so dark sinister, filled with a dangerous killing aura emanating from his body.

The people in the room reacted in their own way. The medics screeched and stepped back to protect themselves, the bodyguards stepped forward while taking out their respective weapons, intending to protect their own masters. Regas also pulled out a gun from behind his suit, and Elana was only flabbergasted to see the once peaceful situation instantly turn tense, simply because of Xavier's unconventional provocative behavior.

Dimitri was on top of a helicopter that flew through the air with the loud sound of its propellers meeting the sense of hearing. He was sitting alone while several armed bodyguards were accompanying him in the helicopter.

Dimitri did not intentionally bring many people. He doesn't need it. If what Regas said is true, then one woman alone is enough to be a protective shield so that she can escape the battlefield with high-value guarantees. He would definitely get away with a body without injuries, perfect without any flaws.

As soon as he got the woman, then the trophy of victory was in his hands.

Dimitri's hand held onto his phone and glanced at the message that was there with a satisfied expression. Regas had sent him a message, telling him that the time had come for the pick-up. That means, the woman who holds the main role in this story, is already in the right trap to be snatched instantly.

Dimitri's lips parsed a smile as the man stuffed his phone back into his suit pocket, then pulled a gun instead. In a moment he would show his face in front of his two great enemies, as well as showing off how powerful he was. Dimitri was heartily impatient to show off his victory in front of Akram Night and Xavier Light.

Soon he will arrive at his destination…. And soon the tempestuous victory will soon come for him to regress completely in unrivaled satisfaction.

Xavier himself, who received the gunpoint on his head was not at all daunted. The man's eyes flashed, even as if he was holding back a laugh. It was as if Akram's attitude was even ridiculous to him compared to being terrifying.

“Are you going to kill me now, Akram? In front of your woman?” sahut Xavier in a half-mockery voice, showing the sure knowledge that Akram is unlikely to give a bloody show in front of Elana's eyes on purpose.

Akram narrowed his eyes, killing intent did not recede from him.

“You've been insolent touching your hands to Elana. Didn't I tell you? Dare you touch my woman just a little, then you will die,” Akram's voice sounds determined. It was as if the man was already at the limit of his patience.

Without waiting for Xavier's next reaction, Akram's finger then moved, about to pull the trigger. However, the movement of the tiny hand that gripped his clothes shifted Akram's attention, making him turn his head and look directly at Elana who turned out to have brought the wheelchair closer to him.

“Ku…. Please do not kill him, there is no more touch than it should be. I. I am really just calming Xavier,” said Elana in a slow and cautious voice, knowing that if he gets the wrong word just a little, Akram can explode and eliminate lives without a second thought.

“Pacifying that crazy psychopath? What deception did he do to you that you felt the need to calm him down? He's a madman and doesn't need to be pacified!” Akram is still pointing his gun at Xavier, but his anger is now on Elana. “I told you not to get caught up with all the skits! Why did you lower your defenses and touch it?” hardik Akram was full of dissatisfaction. “Are you now having a friendship with Xavier, you're so happy to spend time in this house with him, huh? Would you rather stay here than come home with me?”

“Hey, he's telling the truth, not his fault. I made him embrace me. He only had good intentions to comfort me. There was not a single speck of sexual intent in our arms..,” Xavier suddenly felt the need to defend Elana, forgetting that there was a gun pointed at her. He knew that Akram had always been harsh and cruel, but he did not expect that Akram would also be harsh with Elana.

Is the assumption wrong? Did it turn out that Akram's heart was still so hard and Elana had not managed to melt it?

“Shut up!” Akram growls at Xavier, not liking it when the man moves to defend Elana. Akram feels that Xavier and Elana are working against him.

Elana was supposed to oppose Xavier in every way, but why was she now supporting Xavier? And Xavier himself..Why did the man change his attitude and instead try to give a defense to Elana? Shouldn't Xavier always hate and try to destroy Elana because Elana is a very important creature to Akram?

What exactly happened in twenty hours of her absence and Xavier was free to spend his time with Elana? Was Elana's heart really moved by Xavier? Is that woman….

Akram's hand clutching the handle of the gun trembled and tightened as bad thoughts filled with jealousy filled his head. His knuckles were turning white and his aura was terrifying, making anyone with common sense would definitely choose to take refuge and stay away from his wrath.

“Akram,” only Elana seems to be able to face Akram's wrath without feeling daunted. The woman did not seem to want to give up. This time even Elana was forced to use her physical condition to temper the man. “I... I was a little cold and unwell... I want to go home,” whispered Elana slowly, trying to make Akram's attention fully towards her so that the man forgot his intention of killing Xavier.

“Go back?” akram's eyes suddenly widened. Elana's words poked into her soul, leaving her stunned. “Back…. Where?” akram continued later, as if he could not believe his own hearing.

Elana's cheeks turned red, but she answered. “Return... with you,” she replied slowly in a reluctant tone.

Akram immediately lowered his gun and focused his attention towards Elana. The man just looked at Elana and seemed to forget about the others.

“You said…. That with…. To my apartment…. That's home?” asked Akram without being able to hide the astonished tone in his voice. The man seemed to be trying to ascertain whether Elana was not being mispronounced.

Elana frowned, raised her chin and looked at Akram with annoyance.

“I have nowhere else to go other than to your place, right?” sahut fast.

It was just an ordinary sentence, but somehow it felt so meaningful to Akram. Elana said she was the place to go. That was enough for Akram. Just a single sentence and all of Akram's anger was instantly replaced by unspeakable satisfaction.

Akram's lips thinned at Elana's reply, but there was lightning in his eyes that showed a ray of satisfaction. He glanced at Xavier with a cynical look, too pleased with what Elana said until he lost interest in killing again.

“You heard it was Xavier? Whatever you're trying to do, it's free. Elana will always choose to come home with me,” he said in a triumphant tone.

Xavier shrugged and smiled wryly. Apparently his earlier guess was wrong. Akram's heart has not only been broken by Elana. His sister seemed to have even removed his heart from his body and handed it over a hundred percent to be snatched into Elana's hands.

“As far as you are concerned,” replied Xavier finally and chose to turn around and stare at Akram motionlessly. “I think, if you don't want to see a disturbing show after this, you should immediately take Elana away from this place,” Xavier said a special word to Akram and threw a gestureful glance at Regas, then he moved his hand with a wave of goodbye. “Happy way, I will continue my activities to enjoy drinking wine, see you in three days,” he said lightly as he stepped into the mini bar to take a drink for himself.

Earlier, Xavier planned to show Akram and Elana the beauty of the reaction from the blood-destroying poison he had given Regas. He thought it would be an interesting show for Akram. But now, looking at the pale and exhausted face of Elana on the wheelchair, Xavier felt heartless until Elana saw a bloody show that would create trauma and nightmares for the woman. That's why he gestured for Akram to immediately take Elana away from this place. Because, Xavier knew that in a moment, the poison he gave to Regas' body would react immediately.

Akram immediately caught Xavier's cue. He nodded his thin head, then his hand moved stroking the top of Elana's head, trying to speak in a soft tone beyond his usual.

“We will be home soon,” Akram picked up his phone and turned away for a moment, intending to call his driver to take the car to Xavier's home lobby.

At the same time, the sound of hasty movements rang out, followed by Elana's shriek as she was snatched and forcibly pulled up from her wheelchair.

Akram took off his phone and turned his head alert while reflexively pointing back at his gun. Similarly, Xavier who forgot his way to the bar and immediately turned his body while pulling the gun from his suit and immediately aiming at the target.

Both turned out to be late.

The two are caught off guard by a small activity that makes them take their attention away from Elana. The knowledge that Xavier had poisoned Regas made Akram and Xavier think that Regas was completely harmless. But in fact, the poison that was deliberately given by Xavier with a small amount to slow down the process of the poison reaction, was not even fully effective, making Regas still strong enough to do the action.

In front of their eyes, Regas used his arms to curl Elana's neck from behind, forcing Elana to stand leaning against him with fear and helplessness. In his other hand, Regas held the black gun he pointed at directly, sticking to Elana's temple.

“Do not move!” Regas cried out in panic when he saw Akram and Xavier both pointing guns at him. What a terrible experience. But, right now somehow Regas felt stronger and powerful. It was all because he held something very important in his hands. This woman named Elana, really has a great influence on these two beasts in front of her.

Even just by tightening her arm around Elana's neck and playing her fingers on the trigger of the gun attached to Elana's temple, she could see a glittering ray of real fear, both in Akram and Xavier's eyes.

“If you move, this woman dies!” scream Regas full of threats that do not mess around.
