"From the beginning I wasn't sure Aaron would be that easy to die, so I kept tightening the guard around the perimeter of the house. I also added a guard at the health facility that is currently taking care of Serafina's father." Xavier reconnected his sentence in a dissatisfied tone. "After all, Sera's father is likely to be considered an important pawn for Aaron. The Dawn family used Sera's father as a hostage to get Sera to obey and do what she was told."
"Ah, Serafina's father." Akram watched closely at the grim-looking Xavier. "You're feeling guilty?"
Xavier thinned his lips, then as if the weight of his mind was so heavy on his soul, the man leaned in slowly before saying his sentence. "I always thought that I used to be no different from the Dawn family. I also used Salvatore, Sera's father as a hostage. Even now...."
"You still forbid Sera to meet her father? How's Salvatore doing?" Akram straightened his back, his body leaning slightly forward, full of curiosity.
"Currently, Salvatore is still in a coma. His brain is no longer functioning as a result of the blow he received in prison years ago. I've spoken to the best doctors, but they've all told me that there's very little chance that he'll ever wake up again. Even if he could wake up, his brain function was already completely damaged so he would just be an empty shell." Xavier's expression was really serious when he spoke. "While about the end-stage cancer that gnaws his body, I've been working on all the drugs that I can make to reduce the cancer and minimize the damage to organs in his body. But, the drug was only to temporarily stop, not to stop the cancer. So, I guess all I did was hold Salvatore's death until Sera was healthy again after giving birth and was able to see him."
"I don't think you can talk about this cancer problem with Sera either. He may have accepted that his father had been in a coma for years, but the fact that his father had a terminal illness and his age soon, would shock him. It would certainly affect her mentally, even though she was pregnant." Akram nodded his head, clearly agreeing with what Xavier was doing.
"yeah. That's why I made a deal with Sera. I made the excuse that a visit to a health facility filled with people with infectious diseases, is quite dangerous for a pregnant mother. Sera agreed to show restraint and we agreed that Sera would only visit Salvatore after she gave birth. I've always shown photos and videos and track records of health records reported by the team of doctors who handled Salvatore to Sera, of course by hiding health records that discuss cancer." Xavier sighed. "For now, I think Sera is satisfied with this situation. It's my job to hold off so Salvatore doesn't die before Sera can see him."
"That's good. Wait until the time is right, until Sera is completely healthy so you can tell her everything. I think Sera will definitely understand your reason." Akram frowned. "I think you should add more care in the hospital. If Aaron wants to use Salvatore...."
"I think it's best if Salvatore dies as soon as possible. It'll be easier for everyone."
Suddenly Xavier interrupted, his expression cold, his voice firm without hesitation and his face filled with sinister infamy. His words made Akram stop his sentence instantly and stared intently at Xavier with a stiffened body.
"You're not gonna kill Salvatore for no reason, are you? Sera won't forgive you until she finds out and you can't possibly keep your crimes secret forever. A relationship based on a secret that is not revealed, will only end up as a bad love story." Akram immediately advised cautiously.
Xavier moved his fingers to squeeze the base of his nose in frustration. The man seemed confused to describe his own feelings.
"You don't know how I feel. I felt a strong possessive urge to master Sera for myself. I want to have her, I want her eyes to just look at me, her lips just to talk about me, her heart only on me, her anxiety is only for me and everything. I want every cell of his body aimed at me. Only me. I don't want Seraku to have ties to anyone other than me." Xavier sighed back many times as if he wanted to calm himself down. "The fact that there are others that Sera worries about, drives me crazy, even when that person is Sera's own real father. During this time, Salvatore had always been a burden for Sera, his existence was always a hostage who chained Sera's legs so that the woman was not free to step. Salvatore becomes the reason Sera is tortured without being able to fight back, it is even more likely that future enemies will use Salvatore as a hostage if the old man is still alive. That's why, I think if Salvatore dies, then the weight that chained Sera's legs will be destroyed and my wife can step free."
"Xavier's." Akram tries to structure his sentences as effectively as possible. "You cannot break a father and son by force, not even by death. Salvatore is a father to Sera, the father he loves, the father who made him willing to sacrifice in pain for his safety. Kill your cruel thoughts and put them away, don't put your hands down to harm Salvatore. He may die soon, but let him not die for the deeds of your hands. If you can't resist your murderous lust fueled by a possessive desire to take Sera, you'll destroy all the fragile relationships you've had with Sera to pieces and can't be repaired anymore."
Xavier squeezed his hair furiously. "I don't understand the bond between a father and a son." The man groaned, as if his normally brilliant brain refused to think and refused to give an answer.
"You'll understand later. You're gonna be a dad. The father of two twins who were waiting to be born in this world. If later you carry the little miracle in your arms, then without the need to learn, you will naturally immediately understand the strong bond between a father and his child that cannot be easily broken." Akram answered quickly and his tone sounded certain.
After all what Akram felt was a reality taken from his experience when he hugged Zac for the first time.

From the residential gates to the enormous gates of Xavier's magnificent mansion, the layers of guard seemed so tight and on standby.
Yes, Xavier has added high-class guard personnel up to several times to keep an eye on all points in the perimeter circumference of his home.
For anyone working under Xavier or for employees who have access to enter the house and approach Sera, background checks and GPS surveillance are carried into their bodies. Even more extreme, even though Xavier gives an unusually high salary to anyone who works for him, instead of with threats like he did before, Xavier made a contract an official requirement whereby his employees had to agree to be injected with a special toxin that sleeps in the body and could be activated at any time if they took a treacherous step. For the antidote, it is only given after the employment contract is completed. This method is very effective to prevent insider betrayal.
All of this tight security will continue until they can eliminate Aaron. There is no way that any intruder can enter, all access has been closed perfectly.
When Xavier's car entered the gate of the house and drove smoothly through a wide road with a beautiful garden to his right left, the man pondered as he stared through the glass window of his car, calculating if anyone had been missed by him.
Everything is perfect. It's so perfect.
But why does he still feel uneasy? This situation was like a stifling calm before a huge storm came....
When the car stopped, Xavier slightly gasped when he missed his daydream. His back was straightened and the man opened the car door and stepped down from his car without waiting for it to be opened by his employees. Several guards and servants bowed respectfully as they greeted him at the door and Xavier replied to him with an expressionless nod.
"How's Madam?" That question was the same one he had always asked when entering this house ever since he had lived with Sera. Although Xavier installed a camera in the house and watched over Sera to make sure she was okay, she still wanted to hear Sera's condition directly from her servants.
"Mrs is fine. He ate his food and spent his time reading, then took a short walk to flex his pelvis. But. the condition of her swollen legs makes the mistress so tired that the mistress finally spent her afternoon lying down. Doctor Nathan also visited to check earlier, he left a special ointment and oil to massage Madam." His butler gave a report quickly and in detail as usual, making Xavier nod his head in satisfaction.
Afterwards, Xavier opened the door of his room and stepped inside. The quiet and dim shades of the room immediately greeted him, making him instantly move carefully to close the door behind him so as not to make a sound.
Sera's figure appears to lie on a large bed at the end of the room. The blanket seemed to cover his body and Sera looked asleep so that she was unaware of Xavier's presence entering the room.
Xavier's steps slowly as he crossed the thick carpet of the room, then the man walked up to the bed and took himself to sit on the edge of the bed.
The position of the bed that is slightly moving makes Sera disturbed from her sleep. The woman opened her eyes, then turned her head directly towards Xavier. When his eyes met Xavier's eyes, his lips immediately extended a smile.
"Xavier's." Sera said Xavier's name slowly with a hoarse voice because he just woke up from his sleep. "You're home yet? Is your business done?"
Since Sera's content got bigger and Sera began to get tired of moving, Xavier automatically spent almost his entire day at home and only came out for a short time before then returning home. The man has moved everything about his work home, and overhauled his work space to provide space for his secretary and personal assistant. Although Xavier was busy working in his room at times, the man always took the time to meet Sera and spend time with Sera.
For Sera herself, the fact that Xavier was always nearby and almost never left home, made her heart feel calmer.
This morning Xavier said goodbye to Sera and said that he would meet Akram to finish the job. Of course Xavier did not tell Sera that the affair was to examine the body that was allegedly Aaron. But after he came to a conclusion, many other affairs followed including the drafting of a new strategy to track Aaron as well as his interest in tightening security around Sera. In the end, Xavier only made it home to Sera again after the night dissolved by time.
Sera returned Xavier's smile calmly. These few months, they seemed to have reached the understanding as a couple who helped each other. There may be no love in their relationship - at least from Xavier's side - but it can be said they are more like.
Sera's body moved slowly, trying to slightly straighten her back and half-sitting while propping her back on the headboard.
"Still a little pain. But it's okay, I'm used to it for a long time" he replied honestly. Sera was telling the truth. The swelling in his legs felt more burdensome, not to mention with his chest that often feels tight when he sleeps at night and has difficulty finding a comfortable sleeping position. Never did she think that even though her pregnancy was so easy in the beginning and without having to experience excessive nausea vomiting, it was the times when her pregnancy was the one that made it difficult.
Xavier observed Sera's expression and her forehead seemed to wrinkle deeply. The man then turned his eyes and his gaze was immediately fixed on some medicine neatly placed on a tray on the nightstand beside the bed. Xavier leaned in, the man took one of the objects in a medium-sized white glass container, then read the instruction table affixed to its front.
"It's a special cream to reduce the pain in your legs. I'll help you apply it." Xavier's frown deepened as the man turned his gaze back towards Sera. "I heard, pregnant women should not just apply cosmetics that contain chemicals to the body because the possibility of the chemical content is absorbed by the baby through the placenta and can affect the fetus in the womb. Do you think this cream is safe?" Xavier flipped through the glass tube in his hand, as if hoping to find the brand, name or description of the basic ingredients of the cream. Unfortunately, because this cream seems to be a manual concoction, the basic ingredients are not written on the packaging, which is written only a statement that this is an external drug and how to use it.
To Sera the question sounded ridiculous, let alone spoken by someone who said he had extraordinary intelligence like Xavier. It made Sera chuckle for a moment before then answering.
"Of course it was safe, it was prescribed and taken directly by Nathan's own doctor. You certainly don't think that Nathan's doctor would hurt me so much by giving me an unsafe cream, do you?"
Xavier seemed to grunt. "Who knew he was vengeful to me and secretly wanted to harm my wife to teach me a lesson." Xavier thins his lips. "I guess, I better ask for the recipe details to find out what the ingredients of this cream are from Nathan, if he doesn't want to give it, I can take him to the lab to 'dissect it'...." Xavier's voice came to a halt when Sera touched his soft hand.
"Xavier, you're not serious about what you say, are you? You certainly know how dedicated Doctor Nathan is in dealing with my pregnancy. He was very patient and took good care of me. Doctor Nathan can't possibly harm me and our son. You should apologize to Nathan's doctor for thinking ill of him."
Xavier cleared his throat when reprimanded like that, although the frown on his forehead still did not fade, the man chose not to say anything. Yes, Xavier's attitude now looks like a small child who looks down obediently when it is taken by his mother. Only Serafina Moon had the power to subdue a Xavier Light to complete obedience.
"I guess I'm just a little paranoid." Xavier nodded, pleading guilty. Of course he didn't tell Sera what really bothered her. It's all about Aaron Dawn. The man was still alive somewhere and somehow changed into whose face. They do not know what Aaron is like at this time and how his plan to reach Sera. And that's what made Xavier feel the greatest fear of his life.
What if Aaron changed identities into a figure who easily penetrated their security perimeter and then unknowingly could reach Sera easily? What if Aaron steals the face and identity of his personal driver, his butler, his chef or even Nathan's doctor? Does Xavier have to start suspecting those closest to him from now on?
