EOTL eps 21: Shocking Information

Xavier knelt down, putting Sera who was starting to wander in his lap. Next to his hand, he grabbed the small tube behind his pocket and put two capsules into his mouth. One of his men responded by handing over the water bottle to him and Xavier immediately put the water in his mouth.

He then grabbed Sera's chin, pulled it down to make her mouth open, then put their lips together and transferred the capsule and water into Sera's mouth. Afterwards, Xavier removed the linkage of their mouths, while his hand moved to close Sera's nose to force the woman to switch to another path and breathe air through her mouth. Shortly afterwards, there was a forced swallowing sound from Sera's movements taking a breath from her mouth.

The antidote has been swallowed...

Xavier was stunned for a few seconds as he allowed the emotion of relief to overwhelm him. After that, he tried to regain control and stood up, while bringing Sera into his trunk.

The antidote may be quite helpful, let alone Xavier deciding to include two grains which is the maximum limit of the bidder dose that can be accepted by humans. But the fact that Sera had been exposed to the poison long enough before receiving the antidote could have been fatal enough for her body.

The toxic gas may have already damaged Sera's vital organs and it is too late for the antidote to stop its effects.

Half-running, Xavier heads to his car where one of his men has opened the passenger cabin door for him. He entered, then instructed firmly to the driver to move to the downtown area, which was immediately obeyed by the driver.

He would contact Dimitri immediately so that the man would provide his best doctor at a private hospital in the city center, which Xavier knew was owned by Dimitri

Yes, as soon as Dimitri knew that he was bound by a poison that required a periodic cure from Xavier, the man tried to rebel and tried to save himself not to rely on Xavier's mercy. One way is to buy shares of this private hospital, gather doctors and poison masters from all over the country, and try to formulate an antidote to the poison.

Dimitri was not successful. As Xavier had said before, only Xavier could make an antidote for the poison he made.

But, with doctors and toxicologists gathered at the hospital, they could at least handle patients after poisoning well.

The car drove, followed by other cars behind them. In the car, still holding Sera in the arms arms, suddenly his phone rang, making Xavier frown while staring at the screen of his bangs because he saw his own men calling him.

"What's wrong?" fast without making small talk.

"Mr Xavier...." One of his men seemed to reply in a slightly frightened tone. "We examined the bodies left behind to confirm death before leaving this place, but there was only one corpse in the study room."

"You mean... Roman Dawn's niece's corpse doesn't exist?" Xavier guessed exactly. When he left the room, he left the young man alive.

It was impossible for the man to move out of the house in a state of exposure to poison, unless....

Xavier's eyes narrowed, his head lowered to Sera who was carefree, while delirium rolled in his mind.

"The man won't be able to run too far, he's been poisoned despite the possibility that he's taken the antidote in time. So, I'm sure it will be difficult for him to drag his feet away from this place. After all, the terrain around this castle is quite hard to conquer, full of steep hills, pine forests and snowfields stretching with temperatures below zero degrees." Xavier gave the instructions in a calm, restrained voice even though anger began to creep up and burn his soul. "Bring your men to sweep the entire perimeter of the area around the castle, set up ***** tracker. Do it quickly, I don't want you coming to me with a frozen corpse. I want him captured alive."

Finished saying his orders in a resolute tone full of threats, Xavier immediately closed the conversation and pressed Dimitri's number, not speaking stale and immediately told Dimitri to gather his best doctor, the best doctor, especially those who have expertise in handling patients with poisoning conditions.

Then, Xavier put down his phone. His head lowered and his eyes stared fixedly at Sera who was lying low with a deathly pale face. The woman's eyes were tightly closed, while her mouth slightly opened, draining the remaining water from what Xavier had forced her to swallow earlier.

Xavier's moving hand rubbed the remaining melted water onto Sera's cheek, while he carefully examined the signs of the woman's life.

Sera was still breathing despite her weak breath. That's a good sign because it means that the antidote is already working, stopping the damaging effects of the poisonous gas it inhales.

Xavier clenched his hands, enduring the irrepressible gushing of anger, slipping in between his frozen heart, igniting a burning fire that creates a feel of taste that Xavier has hardly felt for a long time.

Jealous. This jealousy made Xavier tortured by various questions that plagued his mind.

Why would Sera give the antidote to Roman's nephew? Who is that man? Why did Xavier miss that detail? What was Sera's relationship with the young man like in the past?

"The condition has improved. Lucky you gave him a timely bidder. Even so, Miss Sera had to undergo intensive care for some time to ensure that any damage that had already occurred, showed symptoms of improvement."

The most expert doctor at the private hospital immediately gave an explanation after reading the results of the Sera examination lab that had just come out.

Xavier frowned."What about his internal organs? Was anyone so badly exposed to the poisonous gas that it suffered fatal damage?"

The doctor took a long breath. "His entire organ was affected by the poison and needed treatment, but what was of concern was his liver, obviously there is damage seen from the amount of liver enzymes that leak in the blood up to many times the normal limit. It is most in need of special attention from the care of Miss Sera this time. Even so, I believe we can handle this well with special handling for the next few days," said the doctor in a confident tone.

Xavier nodded his head. "Report to me in detail. I don't want to receive bad news from you, so try to keep me from receiving only good news." With a threatening tone of voice that made the doctor shrivel in fear, Xavier stood up and left the doctor's study.

As he stepped out and closed the door behind him, Xavier saw Dimitri leaning against the wall of the hall not far from the door. The man completely reflected the Russian winter from his appearance, with almost white hair, pale facial skin and a red eye color that contrasts with his whole being, Dimitri really looks like real snow.

"Don't threaten my doctor" Dimitri said, saying hello first to break the silence. "You're just gonna freak him out and he's gonna be too shaky to work well."

Xavier raised an eyebrow, looking at Dimitri with a sneering look.

"What's the biggest mafia leader in the country doing here? Don't you have more business to pay attention to than a foot barge here?" ask her with a cynical tone.

Dimitri thinned his lips, apparently the man was trying to resist the wrath.

"I'm here to rebuke you. You came to this country and immediately committed blatant murder even before several hours had passed since you set foot in this country. Don't you know how much trouble I've had to cover up all this murder and get you out of the way with the authorities?"

Xavier shrugged his shoulders. "Covering up a murder case is not hard for you, I'm sure you've done countless times to cover up your crime trail. Besides, it's your job to do it. That's why I tied you to poison." Xavier grinned, showing his heartless antagonistic attitude. "Bagainana with Samantha Dawn?" tanyanya fast.

Dimitri straightened the body. "He's been secured" he replied briefly. Dimitri's men had snatched up and secured Samantha from the hotel where she was staying. The old woman had been informed of her husband's death and was now likely screaming hysterically in the dungeon where Dimitri had locked up and tortured his enemies.

"Good." Xavier nodded his head in satisfaction. "Keep him first in your place, don't forget to give him the worst place and facilities you can provide. Samantha Dawn is very afraid of viruses and her illness and arrogance make her hate dirty places. Give him the dirtiest, worst-hit place in your house, if necessary, full of rats, cockroaches and leeches or other filthy animals."

Dimitri grinned."You insulted me. You think I have a place of detention like that? Even if I'm a criminal, I have a lot of money to build a decent prison for the enemies I'm holding."

"If the place is worth it, then it's not worth mentioning as a prison for punishment. Don't try to lie to me, I know you have a dungeon that your enemies fear and call hell prison. Put Samantha there. I'll take care of it while I wait for my woman to wake up and be a witness to Samantha Dawn's death." Xavier said with a dismissive tone. The man was about to leave, but Dimitri's loud voice stopped him.

"Why are you laughing?" ask Xavier in a haughty tone. Dimitri's attitude disturbs him, Xavier is obviously not to be laughed at and if only he did not need the resources Dimitri had in the country, he would definitely kill this man without waiting.

Dimitri crossed his arms, staring at Xavier fearlessly.

"You must not have expected Serafina Moon to not take the antidote from you and choose to give her life-saving capsule to save another man." Dimitri threw a mocking look towards Xavier. "Faced with such a reality, you are still so confident in calling Serafina Moon your woman?"

Dimitri widened his smile with a defiant attitude.

"I was intentionally. How's it feel, Xavier? Unpleasant isn't getting a surprise beyond your expectations? You've always been arrogant and as if you feel power over the fate and lives of those you poison. There are times when you have to feel an unpleasant experience when the situation is spinning out of your control."

"If you're going to joke, then it's not funny. So wipe that stupid grin off your face." Xavier rebuked violently. "I'll give you your antidote a few days later than scheduled, so the poison will have a chance to damage and gnaw your body before you receive the antidote. Your body will even become weaker than before even if you get the antidote." Xavier narrowed his eyes to observe Dimitri's paled expression change. "Later, after you feel the pain when your body is poisoned and billed the antidote, you'll rethink if someday you want to do something that makes me unhappy."

"Hey, don't do that to me. You think I'm still less tormented by your poison in my body?" Dimitri raised his hand, trying to negotiate. "If you want to give me a timely bid on schedule, I have interesting information for you" Dimitri continued with a trial and error.

Xavier looked at Dimitri with a look of disdain.

"You know that I never open myself up to negotiations with my enemies." Xavier refused and turned the body about to leave Dimitri

"But it's about Aaron Dawn, an information that gets you the upper hand" Dimitri said quickly.

Xavier's move that was about to leave immediately stopped. The man looked a little and said cynically.

"Say, then I will consider whether your information is valuable enough or not" Xavier said.

"Read this," Dimitri handed a small memory chip to Xavier's hand, his lips again grinning with confidence. "Everything you want to know about Aaron Dawn is there, even the hidden information about him that nobody knows about except Roman and Samantha Dawn. I'm sure that you'll thank me after absorbing all that information."

Xavier was standing on the edge of the bed where Serafina lay unconscious with an infusion and medical device monitoring the performance of organs connected to her body.

Xavier's eyes narrowed as he watched Sera's body from toe to head. His lips thinned while his forehead wrinkled as if he was thinking hard. He had opened the memory chip given by Dimitri and read all the detailed information in it without exception.

The information stored there was indeed shocking, even for Xavier.

And after learning of the unexpected information, only one thing Xavier could deduce about Serafina.

Stupid woman.

Only those two sets of words could be deduced by Xavier later as he watched over Sera.

By Roman Dawn, Sera is taught to be a manipulative woman who should be good at disguising herself and deceiving her into the heart of Xavier's defense, then looking for an opportunity to stab her in the back. But, somehow Sera always behaved carelessly until finally hurt herself.

As of now, Sera betrayed him to save a swindling piece of trash who shouldn't deserve to be saved.

Xavier moved to sit on the edge of the bed, unable to resist reaching Sera's half-hair child, removing the children's long strung hair there so as not to disturb the woman.

Didn't Sera know that all this time she had been deceived and manipulated?

Sera reacted to Xavier's touch even though she was still unconscious. The woman's forehead was furrowed, right at the top of the eyebrows when Xavier stuck his finger there. It created a smile on Xavier's lips and the man impulsively ended up bowing his body, brought his face closer to Sera's, then kissed her lips slowly.

Xavier's lips gently moistened the surface of Sera's slightly dry lips, then tasted it strong, as if trying to stick the sign of ownership there. She channeled her body heat through her warm breath, slathering her lips moist to wet Sera's lips. After being content to stamp himself on Ser symbolically, Xavier removed their lips and straightened their backs.

This woman had immeasurable effects on him. In fact, this was the only incident where Xavier ignored the firm principle he had always held.

She betrayed him for another man. If according to his principle, then Serafina Moon deserves to be turned off in this story, because the human who has the seed of a traitor in his soul, must indeed be killed. But now Xavier is doing the opposite. He used all sorts of means to keep Serafina Moon alive.

Alive and bound by his side.

Xavier watched Sera and smiled. He will make sure immediately, to make Serafina bound to him body and soul, so that the woman can not escape again. It won't be able to escape at all, until Xavier finishes doing what it needs to do.

As if the time was right, suddenly the door of the treatment room opened, and the figure of his men appeared there with a respectful expression.

"Mr Xavier," the man gave a moment's pause before reporting. "We've got Aaron Dawn. His body condition is not good, but he is conscious and able to communicate. The team of doctors is working on it."

A vile smile full of anticipation instantly appeared slowly, unraveling on Xavier's lips. The man moved quickly down from the bed and stepped closer to the door in an elegant manner.

"Bring me to him." His orders were firm and allowed his men to turn over and walk first to lead the step.

When he was about to close the door of the treatment room, Xavier took the time to glance at Sera.

The woman's handcuffed firmly to the iron frame of this hospital bed. All possible exit access from this hospital room has been locked. In fact, a safety system was installed in the window so it could not be opened, although it was unlikely that Sera would jump from the ninth floor of this hospital. The guards have also been placed in front of the doors of these rooms and along the perimeter of hospital security. Not only to prevent Sera from escaping, but also to protect the woman from outside threats that may come.

Xavier swept Sera with a possessive gaze, before then closing the door of that treatment room, leaving Sera alone and following in his men's footsteps to greet poor Aaron Dawn.

Well, it's time Xavier put himself as the real antagonist in the story of Sera's life. The woman will hate him so much after this, but Xavier will make sure that she can't get away from him. It was better than the woman loving him, then betraying him later on.

For Xavier, it is better to be hated but to have, than to be loved but ultimately betrayed.
