Episode 64: Hidden Enemies

Xavier took off his suit and attached it to the chair, he also loosened his tie and stepped into the room where Elana was grooming. The room itself is quiet and peaceful. The doctors had left the room after finishing reattaching the antidote infusion for Elana and as usual, the doctors had left, Elana was left alone to rest so that the effects of the antidote serum could be maximized in cleaning up the remnants of the poison that was in the woman's blood.

Xavier walked silently across the carpet, the man had taken off his footwear, deliberately stepping over carefully so as not to disturb the severed Elana. He stopped right beside the bed with his eyes still watching the entirety of Elana who was still sleeping without defense. Xavier's expression was unreadable, not even the lightening of his misty eyes, could be easily examined.

Of course Xavier knew that the effects of the serum would make Elana sleepy and fall asleep for some time. He also had no intention to disturb Elana at this moment. He chose to wait patiently.

Cautiously, Xavier stepped up to sit beside the bed, at the end of it close to Elana's feet. There was a ray of questioning in Xavier's eyes that could not match his current answer, creating a deep sense of frustration that felt strange in his soul.

How did Elana feel about Akram? It was something that Xavier still could not read until this very moment. The feeling of Elana looks still gray, the opposite of Akram who now chooses to openly show his feelings to Elana.

Xavier surmised that given that Akram had not covered up how deeply he felt about Elana, it would have left a deep wound if Elana had decided to betray Akram.

This chick. Lana. It was definitely Akram's most powerful weakness.

"Good, we'll carry out our plan soon,"

The man smirked in satisfaction after finishing his phone call, his face looking triumphantly smiling as he imagined how resplendent his plan would be. His hand moved to touch his short pale blonde hair and rubbed it impatiently.

Dimitri Kazak, put the phone in his hand in a stiff motion and stared at the darkness that stretched before him. Dimitri doesn't like the light. The sunlight makes his eyes ache and sore, also hurting his sensitive skin which will cause a red rash if too long exposure to sunlight. Therefore, he enjoys spending his time in dark places, avoiding the sunlight that makes him uncomfortable.

Despite hating the light and adoring the darkness, Dimitri's own appearance was quite the opposite of the darkness he loved. Everything related to Dimitri is even related to pale light shades. His skin was pale as if lacking pigment, and the hairs on his body, from hair to eyebrows and eyelashes, were all pale blonde almost white. It is also still coupled with the reddish color of his eyeballs.

Dimitri grew up in the humiliation of his brothers as a strange and handicapped child. However, he showed them all that even a strange and deformed child could grow strong if he wanted to. As soon as he gathered his father's strength and trust, all he did first was kill his brothers to bulldoze all the thorns that blocked his path to becoming number one. Now, his barrier to becoming number one was in his two great enemies, Akram Night and Xavier Light

It was not in vain that he had infiltrated Regas to become Xavier's personal assistant. As it turned out, despite being a famous genius and being extremely shrewd, Xavier could be a brazen one as well. Until this very second, Xavier did not suspect Regas as a double agent who was deliberately inserted by him to find a path of weakness to stab from behind. Xavier immediately got up from his position sitting at the end of Elana's bed, stepped towards the small minibar in the room and picked up a bottle of mineral water available there. He pushed the bottle towards Elana with good intentions.

“Drink, you must be thirsty after falling asleep for some time,” said Xavier softly. When he saw Elana's doubtful expression, Xavier immediately grinned ironically. “That bottled beverage in packaging, still sealed. There is no poison in it,” sahut with a convincing tone but cheered joking.

Elana moved slowly trying to sit on the bed with her back resting on the head of the bed. His movements were full of caution, trying not to touch his hand that was being infused.Elana's gaze still clearly showed doubts on the water that Xavier Light poured on him, but did not mind, the receipt of the water bottle as well.

Elana's eyes watched the water bottle in her hands, then the woman looked up and looked at Xavier with a frown that was still wrinkled.

“People said, poison could be injected into this sealed bottle of mineral water using a needle so small that it went undetected,” in a soft voice Elana revealed her suspiciously charge.

At once Xavier also chuckled. This woman still felt the same, as if carrying a light that shone on her dark heart and lifted the weight of her soul.

Is this what Akram Night felt when he was with Elana? So that Akram is so attached to this woman?

“I will not poison you. It's been enough for me to poison you and I regret it so much,” Xavier still leaves a smile after his laughter runs out. She looked at Elana softly. “You can hold my word, Elana. You'll be safe and well here. I told you, right? I just want to talk.

“You said you just wanted to talk, but actually you were just looking for a way to provoke Akram using me,” Elana said, somehow getting the courage to face Xavier. “Regarding the offer of freedom you gave me, you didn't really mean it to her, did you? You made that offer to me just to provoke Akram. Because, if you are serious about your plan, there is no way that you will tell the plan in front of Akram, because anyone knows that Akram will use all means to prevent it. Xavier did not answer or deny Elana's allegations. As he did yesterday, the man instead moved leisurely to drag the single sofa closer to the bed, before then sitting there quietly and looking at Elana a very serious look.

“I mean it with my offer. Why do you think I told Akram? Why don't I keep it a secret? It was all because I knew that myself and Akram Night were just as strong. We can fight each other face to face without stabbing each other from behind if we want.” Xavier watched Elana with a serious expression. “But no matter how strong I am in fighting Akram Night, I know that whether it is serious or not my offer, you will never accept it. “I will not accept any offer from you,” Elana replied quickly, choosing wisely.

Xavier grinned. “But I have not explained my offer to you, how could you refuse it before listening to it?”

Elana stared at Xavier doubtfully. Although Xavier said his sentence casually, Elana realized that there was a dangerous meaning coming from Xavier's words.

Somehow his heart suddenly hit by anxiety.“Do you have any plans to harm Akram?” he asked then in a hesitant tone carefully.

Xavier looked at Elana straight as if trying to penetrate into her heart. The beautiful smile that had been gracing her face had disappeared without a trace.

“I'm not just gonna hurt Akram Night. I can eliminate Akram with your help. Of course if you want it.”

Elana. “Destroying Akram with my help?” suddenly a sense of horror mixed with discomfort enveloped Elana's heart. She may have hated Akram Night for his bullying and forcing him. However, Elana has a forgiving soul and she has even promised the man to give her a chance.
