Episode 73: Tameng Dimitri

The dark car stopped right in front of the gate of Xavier's house. An armed bodyguard stepped down from the passenger seat of the car, dragging a man with a puffy face to be beaten up who looked resigned.

"Remember Mr. Dimitri's message, if you want your Michaela to be okay and not hurt by Mr. Dimitri, then you have to do your job well," dimitri's men who had a hard and cold expression spoke slowly as they dragged Tedy's steps following him closer to the gate of Xavier's house.

Seen before their eyes, Xavier's guards were immediately on standby to take up arms.

"A. I just need to hand the phone over to the one named..." Tedy frowned, his blunt brain was often difficult to remember people's names.

Dimitri's men clucked, then snorted impatiently. "To Akram Night and Xavier Light. It must be to those two that you may give the cell phone which Mr Dimitri has given you, it shall not be given to anyone else except those who command it. Now, do your job well if you want to save your Michaela's life!"

Dimitri's men then pushed Tedy's body to fall down at the feet of Xavier's gatekeepers, after which he raised his head, then spoke in a calm and firm tone.

"He was the messenger sent by Mr. Dimitri. He's unarmed and you can search him. Everything you consider dangerous can be taken from her body except one, a cell phone. That phone should get into the hands of Akram Night and Xavier Light, because with that secure phone, Mr. Dimitri will call your master to propose a negotiation,"

Of course Akram can't sleep.

Not only was the pain of the gunshot wound that perforated his body still throbbing uncontrollably and tormenting him, but also because his own mind was instead busy circling around in his head cavity tirelessly. It is followed by a thousand questions whose whole backs one another with the answer.

What Xavier said before inevitably penetrated into his soul, resonated within it and disturbed his conscience.

Xavier thinks Akram doesn't appreciate Elana? How could? Doesn't it seem real that Akram really treats Elana with specialness?

Which part of his relationship with Elana was considered lacking by Xavier? What does Xavier mean by his words that he does not respect Elana's pride?

Yep. He did start the relationship the wrong way when he forced himself on the woman. But then he tried to fix everything, right?

Akram clenched his hands, filled with anger that began to crawl his pulse as his mind turned furious.

How dare Xavier who had met a few times with Elana to be judgmental like that. Who is he?

The sound of knocking on the door of his room made Akram instantly released from the raging daydream. His hand swiftly grabbed the gun he had deliberately placed on the nightstand beside the bed. His eyes stared vigilantly at the door.

"Who?" furious Akram with a threatening tone full of anticipation. The man tried to get up with great difficulty as he endured the pain in his chest and the stiff feel on his propping up arms. Since it was early morning, Akram knew that whoever was currently knocking on his door, if that person was not the enemy, then that person must be trying to convey something important.

"This is Elios, sir. The messenger sent by Dimitri has arrived to enter the gate" Elios said in an urgent tone.

Akram frowned, a little surprised. Dimitri sends a messenger in the early hours like this? Isn't it too fast?

He had sent a special person to watch over Dimitri all day. So, of course Akram knows that Dimitri has contacted his lawyer to prepare all the files and legal completeness to smooth the acquisition process.

Everything was prepared by Dimitri for tomorrow morning. Why did the man speed it up? Did something force Dimitri to do it? Something to do with Elana?

Instantly a bad premonition instantly filled Akram's chest cavity, almost making him short of breath. Akram immediately forced himself to move quickly to the door and opened it

Elana has now been moved to a new room. A doctor has been called in to check for traces of abusive behavior on his body. Elana was still silent and unable to say a word.

Trauma was still biting his soul and made his skinny arm helplessly try to hug himself to control his barely restrained trembling. Luckily the doctor who was called by Dimitri to check it was a woman, so the discomfort of Elana could be suppressed because the one who handled it was the same woman as her.

The doctor was a middle-aged woman with a motherly aura overshadowing her and Elana suspected that the doctor seemed to have known Dimitri a long time ago, because his attitude was not at all awkward and quite relaxed when conversing with Dimitri when the man drove him into the room where Elana had just been moved there.

The woman's doctor's eyes seemed concerned as he examined the traces of horrific violence that began to leave a reddish tint with a chilling yellow hue all over the surface of Elana's skin. Surely tomorrow morning, the whole container will turn into a light purple which then darkens creepy.

Carefully and without sound, the woman's doctor then helped apply a special ointment of clear color all over the bruised skin of Elana. The ointment was soothing, ice-cold and able to disguise the pain felt by Elana.

"Te. thank you," Elana managed to speak from her trembling lips, forcing her tongue to speak with a voice stuck in her throat.

The female doctor let out a long sigh, then gripped the glass container where the special cream ointment was in Elana's hands.

"I'll prescribe painkillers and also prescribe concoction ointment for your cooking to apply to your bruises" the woman's doctor stared at the slightly open door, where Dimitri had disappeared moments earlier. After which, he let out a long breath and ventured to ask. "You... How did you get involved with the leader of a mafia organization like Dimitri? Is... was Dimitri the one who did all this to you?"

As if intentionally indicating that he was indeed watching and stealing the conversation inside the room, he said, the door to the room that had opened slightly opened was opened wide and Dimitri entered while staring intently at the poor female doctor.

"It looks like your job is done, doctor," Dimitri said softly gesturing towards the female doctor and immediately understood. The doctor immediately got up, packed his gear and stood away from Elana.

Now it was Dimitri's turn to approach the edge of the bed, scanning Elana without permission to create discomfort in Elana. With a quick movement, Elana pulled the circular blanket on her waist, then covered it up to her chest. Elana then raised her head towards Dimitri, trying to challenge the man even though her entire body was shaking uncontrollably.

Elana of course knew that this man in front of her was as dangerous as Akram and Xavier. They were all equally giving off a terrifying ferocious aura that naturally gushed out from their bodies and frightened their enemies. Even just now, Elana saw with her own eyes how Dimitri cold blood shot the horrible man who tried to rape her and make her blood spurt everywhere.

It was not that Elana was not happy because by shooting the criminal, Dimitri had indirectly saved her. She also knows that Dimitri saved her from an attempted rape not out of kindness, but rather because the man had his own goals. Whatever the reason, still seeing blood pouring so rapidly from another human body is a matter of understanding and traumatic for Elana. If she could choose, Elana really wouldn't want to see it with her own eyes.

Dimitri only frowned looking at Elana's defensive attitude. But the man said nothing, turned his back and focused his attention on the female doctor who had cleaned up her equipment and was ready to leave. With a nod of his head, Dimitri stepped closer to the woman's doctor and chased her towards the door.

"Are the marks on his skin really not preventable so as not to darken more than this?" ask her then with an anxious tone

Right now, the marks seemed to leave a terrible red stain on the surface of Elana's skin. Akram Night would have realized it instantly when his sharp eyes saw Elana.

The doctor shook his head.

"I've given the best ointment for the bruises.But, the ointment is not for bruising prevention, it is not, the process of bruising from red to yellow and then turning purple and getting darkened until it fades back a few days later is a natural process of the body that can not be prevented. The ointment only helped to speed up the healing process," the woman's doctor rolled out the prescription paper she had written into Dimitri's hands. "She should also drink a painkiller immediately because the bruising marks on her body are very much. The pain will affect it and the longer it will be stronger. After saying that, the female doctor stepped away, heading towards the driver who had been waiting to drive her home.

No need to wait long until the phone finally issued a ringtone that is quite loud and blaring throughout the room. Elios took the call and turned on the phone so everyone in the room could listen.

"Akram Night and Xavier Light, I assume you guys are there to listen," Dimitri's distinctive voice with its strange accent instantly rang out there.

Akram gritted his teeth, restraining his anger.

"Tell me what you want, Dimitri," he growled impatiently. Somehow a bad feeling got him more concentrated, stifling his chest.

"You already know what I want. I don't want your lives or to challenge your strength. I just want to have your own research company and military weapons supplier. All files have been prepared by my very competent lawyer. So, I invite you to come with your lawyers to my humble house, to make a fair exchange,"

Molar Akram twitched hearing Dimitri's sentence. He guessed something was wrong and he had to confirm it immediately.

"I won't take any steps before I find out that Elana's okay. If Elana's there, give her phone to Elana and let me make sure with my own ears her condition. After that, then we talk about negotiations," he said with a demanding tone that would certainly not be willing to accept rejection.

Hello, Beautiful people!

Sorry haven't had time to give certainty update. This week the author is busy and it's a bit difficult for his time.

The author makes a note again so that readers do not expect to worry back and forth swipe the latest part uda out or not.

This week we have episodes 70, 71, 72 and episode 73, which we have just finished reading.

That means that there are four episodes of 6 episodes, yes, there are still 2 more episodes.

Relax, the author's obligations will be fulfilled for 6 episodes each week. Just the time of course the author can be erratic because it depends on the mangatoon.
