Aaron pacing back and forth in his study.
He realized that he was being watched very closely out there. Even when he came home to his apartment last night, he realized that there were several cars following him and not just one, the cars were stalking him from some subtle direction. When he entered his apartment room, there were several men dressed in black who were seen standing on each side of the hallway to his apartment.
Even when he peered down from the window of his apartment room, he could immediately see that at every important point, especially in the exit of his apartment was already heavily guarded.
That damn Xavier Light didn't even bother to have his men camouflaged to be invisible. The man was even seen deliberately making his men appear at every point.
It seemed like it was done deliberately with the aim of making Aaron feel intimidated.
This morning was just as bad. Aaron knows that he can't pretend to be sick and shuts himself in his apartment to protect himself so he doesn't have to go to work. He knew that if he had not come to work today, it would have made Xavier suspicious and might have lured him to immediately have his men break down and rush into his apartment room, before then ambushing him and taking him forcibly to be held captive in Xavier's torment.
If it happened, he would not be able to run again.
Aaron finally decides to leave for work today, ignoring the sheer number of humans escorting him and following him along his way to work. Who knows, he found a way to escape.
Unfortunately, his wish did not materialize, the guard around him was so tight that he could do nothing.
After arriving at the hospital and confining himself in his room, Aaron kept pacing around there for hours with a dead-end mind, confused as to what to do. He knew that he had to be able to escape from this place, but obviously he could not run easily.
How could he who was only alone be able to deal with Xavier's numerous bodyguards and keep tight at all points?
Aaron felt that being in his office which was a public place, he would be able to find a way to escape easily, but it turned out that he was wrong. Aaron stops his steps in front of his office space window and reassesses the situation. His office was on the top level, making the possibility of escaping from the window something impossible for him. If he forced himself, he would most likely end up dead with a broken neck.
What's he supposed to do? How'd he run?
Glancing at the door was useless. He knew there were three bodyguards with martial skills and the ability to wear high-level weapons that were specially placed to stand guard in front of his study door. The same bad thing happens at every point of the exit layer of this hospital. They also carried weapons that Aaron could not fight with his bare hands.
Aaron frowned. Many times he condemned his own impulsive behavior which time came and approached Sera. He is too hasty and driven by a greedy desire to defeat Xavier immediately. The rush that finally plunged him into this situation, making him trapped and now hit the walls on all sides to make him almost desperate.
Goddamnit! Goddamnit! Had he not come to Sera at that time, surely everything would have been safe and well, surely Xavier would not have realized his presence and suspected him. Now that it was too late, he had foolishly destroyed all the hard work and all the effort he made to disguise himself as Oberon's doctor.
Aaron's hand moved rubbing his cheek furiously. All the pain he had to endure while undergoing plastic surgery was now all in vain! His disguise as Oberon's doctor will soon be revealed without him being able to hold it in.
Aaron exhaled loudly. No matter how much he regretted his carelessness, still he could not turn back time. Now he really had to rack his brain to find a way out of this impasse.
Aaron steps up to his desk, and opens the drawer. He was going to find the gun he kept there and use it to fight back. The plan seemed like it would end in futility and instead risk his life. Because, he was sure that as happened earlier this morning when he got out of the car, bodyguard Xavier immediately ambushed and searched every inch of his body to make sure that none of the weapons he carried on his body.
He certainly can't carry this gun. If he put this gun in his pocket, the moment he stepped out of the door of his study, they would have ransacked him. If he was caught carrying a gun, maybe the bodyguards would shoot and kill him. Aaron knew that they were all looking for an excuse to kill him.
After some hesitation, Aaron finally pushed the gun back into the drawer and took a deep breath. No. gabe. There's no point in him carrying this gun. He had to think of another way.
When he was about to close the drawer, Aaron's eyes were accidentally fixed on the small box tucked there. He frowned curiously, then opened the box.
Inside, there is a very small syringe and a small glass bottle filled with sedative or sedative liquid.
Doctor Oberon had a rough time after the accident, which is why he fell into alcoholism. In addition, what others do not know is that Oberon also had a sedative addiction and often injected himself when he experienced insomnia and uncontrollable thoughts. This medicine will allow him to fall asleep after he injects himself.
Aaron took the syringe, then impulsively filled the sedative liquid inside and reattached the syringe cap. His hand gripped the syringe and weighed.
This sedative liquid provides a sedative effect and lulls if injected into the body with the right dose. However, if injected with excessive doses, this liquid can kill its victims due to overdose. Maybe Aaron can use it as a weapon, but because this injection is only for one use, then Aaron must be very careful in choosing the right time and person he will attack with this injection.
Just this time Aaron was grateful that he had disguised himself as a doctor, it might bring his own benefits. Quickly, the needle was inserted into the inner pocket of his doctor's suit and the size of the syringe was small enough to make the needle stick there, almost unpalpable.
The sound of a knock on the door made Aaron gasp from his daydream. The man paled and looked towards the door filled with terror.
He is like a prisoner in this room. Who would bother to act polite and knock on the door before entering?
Aaron cleared his throat and narrowed his eyes towards the door. The man straightened his body, trying to act ordinary and calm when speaking.
“Come.”
The door to his study room opened and what appeared there was Nathan's doctor followed by three bodyguards behind him.
Doctor Nathan smiled at Aaron, but his eyes shone meaningfully.
“Sorry for the inconvenience, but I came to do a superior order.” The doctor's voice sounded full of ultimatums when reconnecting his words. “I'm the one who'll take your blood, doctor Oberon.”

“About Aaron?” Sera frowned. His expression instantly changed, filled with anxiety. “What's wrong with Aaron?”
Xavier watched Sera's expression and inexplicably, a tingle flashed through his heart when he saw how Sera instantly turned anxious as she raised the conversation about Aaron. It turned out, even though the woman had given her heart to him, there was still so much attention she gave to Aaron.
Is Dr Nathan right? That even though Sera no longer loved Aaron, the man still had an important role in Sera's past as her savior.
If indeed Sera continues to be plagued by debt of gratitude and debt of life to Aaron, would not Xavier help him take off the burden if he explained to Sera the true motivation of Aaron helping Sera in the past?
“I didn't kill Aaron if that's what you're worried about.” Xavier thinned his lips, looking at Sera with a gaze full of irony. “Not yet,” he added later with a tone while ago.
Sera's eyes widened. “Xavier... you.. you're just kidding, aren't you?” sahut fast. Suddenly Sera seemed to have remembered something, her expression looked shocked and deathly pale. “Did... have you heard from that contest? Did one of those hit men manage to kill Aaron?” tanyanya panicked with a horrified tone.
After Aaron makes a contest to pay the killers so they hurt the baby in Sera's stomach, Xavier is enraged and makes a matchup that causes all the hitmen around the world to chase Aaron. At that time, Sera tries to hold Xavier back, but Xavier reminds her that Aaron who she is trying to protect is the same person who tried to hurt their baby heartlessly. At that moment, Sera chose to close her eyes. He chose to throw Aaron in the farthest corner of his heart and not think about it anymore.
Although there were times when Sera wondered how Aaron was now and how the fate of the competition made by Xavier, but he did not dare to raise the question to the surface. Then Sera is distracted by her pregnancy and the peaceful repair of her relationship with Xavier. He did not want to damage the peace that intertwined, so he buried deeply in everything concerning anxiety, thoughts and feelings in his heart related to Aaron.
Now, it was Xavier who first raised the conversation about Aaron. It made all the anxiety Sera found a way to creep up to the surface again.
Xavier grabbed Sera's fingers and played with her, her hands slid between Sera's fingers, clutching her fingers there.
“Tenace. I still haven't heard of Aaron's death, so the man is still alive out there, waiting for the right time to threaten us.” Xavier ponders whether or not he will tell Sera about his conjecture regarding Oberon.
“I think, Aaron will be busy hiding.” Sera answered according to her reasoning. “He won't have time to think of attacking us,”.
Sera's sentence made Xavier thin his lips and decide.
“She may already be there closer than we thought, Sera,” uttered in a mysterious tone, making Sera frown and stare at Xavier deeply.
“What do you mean? Did you say... Aaron is in the country?”
“Not only in this country, he may be in one same building, near us.”
“Xavier... What are you saying?” Sera's face paled. “Did you say that Aaron was so crazy that he risked his life and approached us, even when you sent assassins to pursue him? It's the same as suicide because he'll be caught immediately if he comes near us. I guess... Aaron won't do such a stupid act.”
“He is not that stupid.” Xavier's eyes flashed. “He disguised himself as someone else. Performing plastic surgery perfectly to steal the identity of the other person. He even went so far as to kill the person he had stolen his identity from.”
Sera widened her eyes that were filled with terror. “Who?” the question is soft, full of fear.
“Doctor Oberon?” Sera parroted like a dazed person. All the glimpses of his interactions about Doctor Oberon instantly appeared one by one inside his head. Doctor Oberon was at the clinic where his father was being treated at the time... the man also came to her unexpectedly while she was in front of the elevator and gave her information regarding her father which indirectly made her doubt Xavier.
Everything seems reasonable, it's just that.. Does Xavier have any evidence?
“K-you... don't accuse without proof just because you don't like doctor Oberon, do you?” Sera asked in a cautious tone to Xavier.
Xavier shook his head firmly.
“Sera, I've been talking to Aaron in disguise as Oberon's doctor. You know I have a special skill to lure truth from others without that person even realizing it. The man who was in front of me with the face of that Oberon doctor, wasn't Oberon's doctor. He is Aaron.” Xavier's hand squeezed Sera's fingers slowly. “Trust me, my instincts are never wrong.”
“I just don't want you to attack the wrong guy, Xavier. If your guess is not true, you could injure the innocent real Oberon doctor,” Sera whispered slowly, looking at Xavier with slight hesitation.
Xavier thins his lips, then nods his head.
“That's why I asked Nathan's doctor to take a blood sample of Oberon's current doctor. Once we get his blood sample, in no time we'll get any certainty whether he's really Oberon's doctor, or if he's Aaron in disguise.”
Sera looked at Xavier intently.
“Do not do anything until you get the blood test results,” the door slowly.
Xavier looked at Sera sharply. “Are you worried about Aaron?” ask her bitterly.
Sera shook her head. “Not so.. I think of you. I don't want you to wrongly attack people.” Sera looked at Xavier carefully. “If doctor Oberon was really Aaron in disguise, would you.... will kill him?” ask again.
Once again, Xavier's eyes flashed with anger.
“I told you when I sent those killers to finish Aaron off. My promise not to hurt Aaron, I'll only do it if he doesn't do things that provoke my anger. By sending a killer to make you miscarry our son, he deserves to be killed. When he proves that he's disguised as Oberon's doctor, it's clear he has a sinister intention to approach us, get close to you. He's really obsessed with you, Sera and I'm sure sooner or later, he'll do something to harm you.”
Sera hesitated, her body frozen. Aaron whom he knew and remembered was the figure of a man who always helped him in times of urgency. The man saved his life many times, keeping him away from the pain and death that kept lurking as he lived his life amid the torture and torture of the Dawn Family.
Although Aaron berates her at the airport, Sera still thinks that it is just a manifestation of Aaron's disappointment that feels betrayed because Sera chose to be with Xavier. Only when Aaron pays the killer to make her miscarry, Sera begins to believe that Aaron is not as good as he thought.
Now, if indeed Aaron disguised himself as Oberon's doctor to approach him, is it true that Xavier said that Aaron did hold a grudge and had bad intentions to him?
Xavier watched Sera's expression change, then finally spoke after some hesitation.
“If I say something I've known for a long time about Aaron and I keep meetings, will you believe it?” slowly tanyanya.
Sera watched Xavier's expression, trying to guess what the man was going to do. However, he could not find anything. It was obvious Xavier was very good at keeping his facial expressions.
“Is there anything from Aaron I don't know?” asked Sera curiously. Come to think of it, Xavier said he would reveal the secret about Aaron.
Xavier nodded his head.
“I kept it because I didn't want to hurt your heart. This truth will overturn what you have believed before Sera.” Xavier squeezed Sera's hand slowly as if wanting to split her strength. “You... will be very sad.”
“Because of that you chose to hide this secret from me?” Sera's heart was touched by the sincerity that appeared within Xavier's voice. Sera pondered, examined her own feelings, and finally the woman decided firmly. “Kurasa... if it concerns Aaron, I will be strong.” Sera let out a long sigh and tried to put on a reassuring face.
Xavier held back a smile looking at Sera's attitude.
“Yes, all this time I kept it because I was worried about your heart. You have believed that Aaron did good to you, when he had a veiled motivation. I don't want you to be hurt and betrayed. However, right now I have no other choice. If I don't tell you, you will continue to be wracked with guilt for Aaron because of the burden of debt of gratitude and debt of life that you think continues to bind you your whole life.” Xavier's eyes stared intently at Sera. “The debt of gratitude and the debt of life never really existed, Sera. All of that is something Roman Dawn and Aaron planned to brainwash you.” As Sera's eyes widened filled with disbelief, Xavier nodded his head in reassurance. “Yes, Sera. From the very beginning, Aaron has been working with Roman Dawn on a revenge plan to avenge Anastasia.”'s death
