Episode 89: Akram's Decision
"It's a good idea that you've dared to act in my company and make decisions against my authority!" Akram growled, anger seemed to envelop his soul, making his aura even darker. "I will use every means to overturn your decision" he threatened with determination.
Xavier chuckles. "try it. I will also use every means to keep Lana as my assistant. Don't you feel sorry for me? Because Dimitri tried to take our arms company, he made Regas betray me and forced me to finish Regas with my own two hands" Xavier said the word forced in his sentence, but his lips even put on a big smile as if pleasure, making Akram even more inflamed.
"You never had to kill Regas. I thought you might even have fun satisfying that disgusting appetite to kill you. And as for Regas who betrayed you, my investigators have found that it was because of a past grudge. You killed his family in the past, and he broke in to be your assistant for wanting revenge on you. So, don't try to put the blame on me," Akram refuted in disgust.
Once again Xavier just laughed in the face of all Akram's scorn.
"Alright, whatever my reason, you'll only look at me from the most negative side, so I won't try to refute you for nothing" Xavier's expression turned serious. "You may be determined to use every means possible to prevent Lana from becoming my personal assistant. But, what if the situation is that Lana herself is willing to do the job?"
"When I was about to give Elana a job at my company, all she asked for was a job as a cleaning service that she said was within her means. And he insisted on doing that. Elana's so stubborn, why would she change her mind to suddenly want to be your assistant?" akram's eyes narrowed suspiciously. "Do you want to use the opportunity after this to threaten and intimidate Elana so that she's willing to be your assistant?"
"I won't do that, threatening Lana won't lead to success. That woman will only fight back with all her might, you must be the one who knows it the most" Xavier said meaningfully. "I will persuade her persuasively, for Lana's own benefit,"
"How can being your assistant benefit Elana instead of harm?" Akram seems to be starting to be able to control his emotions, the man is also interested in finding answers from the enigmatic attitude shown by Xavier.
"You want to make Lana your wife, don't you? As soon as the media and press learned that an Akram Night had already chosen a wife, what did you think they would do to Lana? They would scour themselves to the brink, seek out information about Lana, undermine her privacy, and then spice things up to create scandals and deliberate horrendous news to capture the attention of the public and enlarge their opinions. "They won't find anything, I'll make sure of that" Akram growled half angrily. The shadow of Elana will be the victim of media exploitation as the woman becomes his wife, angering Akram enormously. If possible, Akram wants to lock Elana in her protection ring and hide her from the cruel outside world. But of course he can't do it, can he? What Xavier said was true, once he officially announced his marriage, Elana would be an easy meal for the news-hungry media and press.
"Have you forgotten that there are many witnesses who know that Lana works at your company as a cleaning service? Not only your division head, all employees in the cleaning service division, even the shuttle bus driver or also the building security officer and cafeteria employees in your office who all interact with Lana while at work... that has not taken into account other division employees who have also seen it. Akram squinted. "Explain to me what you mean" he said in an arrogant commanding tone.
"By making Lana my personal assistant, all your hardships will be wiped out. There would be no doubting the abilities and capabilities of an assistant from a Xavier Night, they would instantly acknowledge Elana's intelligence without any objection. Even if they find out later that Lana was once a cleaning service at your company, they will think that it was one of my strategies to train her," Xavier raised his chin haughtily.
"Of course I won't let someone who doesn't have the potential to develop be my assistant. I'm willing to mentor Lana, downgrade my knowledge and teach her everything necessary to make Lana truly capable of holding the position of personal assistant to a Xavier Night," xavier's arrogance was evident in his eyes as he connected his sentence with an irritating question sentence. "Do you want to think you can get another mentor to train Lana, who has half my ability?" challenge straightforward.
Xavier's question once again left Akram stunned, inevitably struck down by the truth in Xavier's words. And what I'm offering is not just her mentor but my name protection to Lana. There would be no one who would dare to mess with Xavier Night's assistant,"
Akram nodded his head thinly, for some reason this time he did not doubt Xavier's honesty.
"You may offer the position to Elana but never use threats or intimidation against her so that she will obey your will. Don't play behind my back, because one thing you should know, is that Elana won't be able to cover anything from me. If Elana is willing to volunteer to be your assistant, then I won't bother you," Akram finally made the right decision, a decision he hoped would not end badly.

Before entering his study, Akram's steps came to a halt when he saw the work that was almost complete to turn the meeting room into a Xavier workspace, where the position of the room was right next to the Akram workspace.
Akram workspace is located at the very top of this building, which is directly connected to a special elevator where not just anyone can press the button to this floor. Only people with special pass cards or people who already have a confirmed meeting appointment get permission to set foot into this place.
Meanwhile, there were three other doors in the room. Akram workspace which takes place very large, located in the door in the middle, Akram almost never allows anyone to enter his study, except Elios and of course Elana. The leftmost door is a room with a capacity of one hundred people for meeting purposes with a large audience, while the rightmost door is a medium-sized work space that still fits fifty people once a meeting.
Actually, the existence of meeting rooms here is almost unnecessary because they have one floor for the purposes of various meeting capacities below, there is even a giant auditorium on the ground floor.
Akram saw that this smaller meeting room that currently looks massively overhauled to be converted into Xavier's workspace.
Relief flashed through Akram's mind when he saw that the workers had also built an additional table located right next to Elios' desk reserved for Xavier's personal assistant and secretary. That means, if Elana agrees to become Xavier's assistant, the woman will spend her working time in this place, next to Elios, in the open space, she said, not in a closed room and just alone with Xavier in it.
That means every time Akram steps out and in from his study, he can see Elana. And all day long, that woman will be near here, only limited by a closed door.
It would be easier to keep an eye on Elana then. And at the very least, Elana will not be able to charge herself with hard work, especially if later she is really pregnant.
Akram set foot on the doorstep of aspiring workspace Xavier, and his forehead immediately wrinkled when he saw how bright the room was. Akram put on a stern expression, looking at Elios with a reproachful look.
"Why didn't you tell me about Xavier's actions?" tanyanya fast.
Elios seemed to feel guilty and gulped his saliva nervously.
"Xavier deliberately sent his workers towards midnight, there were hundreds of workers sent to do everything with lightning so that they could reach the stage of almost complete in one night. The next morning I just got a report, but I refrained from telling you because you gave me the message that you were taking Miss Elana to Xavier's house for her third and final serum," Elios looked at Akram carefully, "Please forgive my carelessness?" tanyanya fast.

Xavier stepped into the room and immediately took the seat he dragged to the bed as usual. The man sat there and watched Elana closely, watching her closely.
