The Essence Of The Darkness

The Essence Of The Darkness
Episode 7: Forced Deletion

"It doesn't matter how I call you: call you by your name, call you by another name, call you little wild kitten, call you princess, etc. At the end of the day they all mean the same: You are mine and only mine. Im not sharing. All rights reserved's.

When Elana opened her eyes, what she saw was an unfamiliar and completely unfamiliar room. Elana's mind felt foggy, her entire memory was split into scattered pieces of memory, difficult to put back together and made her brain ache when she tried to do so.

Where is she?

Confused, Elana scans the room and is even more unable to guess where she is at the moment. This room is very beautiful, even just a glance at it Elana knows that this room has a luxury that should not be entered by commoners like her.

Why did he end up in this place?

Elana tries to dig up her memory, but her head hurts instead. Elana then raised her hand to touch her head, but she groaned in surprise as she felt intense pain from her wrist. Elana lifted her head and her eyes widened when she saw the thick bandage that was rubbing against her wrist, and also the infusion hose on the back of her other hand.

He's in the hospital?

Elana looked around again to make sure, this time her sense of smell had worked better so that she could smell the hospital's signature scent, the smell of the medicine mixed with an indisputable sterile disinfectant that filled this room.

However, if this was indeed a hospital room, why would he end up in such a luxurious room? In fact, if viewed from Elana's financial condition, maybe he can only pay for the ward area, the cheapest patient room area that can be occupied by up to sixteen patients in one room.

Elana's eyes ended up back on her wrists and her brain worked hard to pump back the entire memory to figure out what caused it to end up in this place. Elana closed her eyes, trying to calm herself down and recall, putting together all the scattered pieces and fragments of memory and desperately trying to put them back together again.

Akram Nights.

The name suddenly flashed inside his head, complete with a flurry of memories depicting the figure of a dark aura man who looked at him with a horrifying glare when mentioning his name to introduce himself to Elana.

Elana's body stiffened, her hands instantly moved gripping the thick blanket on her waist and pulling it to her chest, hugging herself in trembling as terror and fear wrapped around her mercilessly.

The prowess of the memories for the sake of the memories so vividly flooded his head, restoring his full awareness of what had happened.

Even the pain that was so biting when the evil man named Akram took away his chastity, still vividly imagined until now, making Elana bite her lips and keep the tears that began to collect in the corner of her eyes. The shadow of the brutal rape committed by Akram Night was merciless and selfless, satisfying his lust without caring for the screams of pain and the pleading of Elana for him to stop, making Elana could not hold back her cries anymore. Tears rolled fiercely over her cheeks, accompanied by the helpless sobs of a defeated woman, losing the sanctity she should have preserved until it was time to be delivered.

Elana was so desperate and felt so dirty after Akram finished his lust. Then when the man finally released himself and left her alone, Elana could only lie in bed, hoping that death would soon pick her up. Then, Elana's eyes unintentionally looked towards the glass of water that Akram had left for her, and her mind became determined.

All he knew was that at that second, death was the easiest and most painless way out. Elana did not have time to think again when she broke the glass, ignored the horror and finally managed to cut her pulse with the sharp glass shards.

He should have been sound asleep in death embracing all his suffering and erasing all his maps in this world. But why is he still alive? Why was he even lying on this hospital bed with his suicide wound bandaged for treatment? Why was he saved? Why wasn't he allowed to die?

How did he live his life after this? How could he step forward knowing that his body was now so dirty? Taken without permission and cruelly tainted? What will she use as evidence of her moral responsibility as a woman to her future husband?

Elana was always alone in this world, she was alone in an orphanage, then struggled to live alone, working hard and with all her might to support herself with her own strength. On lonely nights, Elana even had to embrace herself, in the loneliness and envy of others who were so lucky to have a family as a place to lean and moan. A mother to cuddle with, a father to complain with, brothers to share laughter and sadness with. Despite that, Elana feels that there is still hope for her to be able to find a life companion for good in the future, the dream of a good man in charge, that became the place to lean and form a happy family. They will create beautiful little families, be blessed with cheerful children and fill their homes with laughter.

But that may be a dream that will never come true after this. With her chastity taken away, with her filthy stained body, Elana had no guts to find a good man who would accept her for who she was.

Tears hardened again, making her cheeks wet so Elana was forced to cover her face with both hands to hold her increasingly uncontrollable issue. Maybe Elana is destined to throw away her dream of forming a dream family in the future, maybe Elana is destined to be a kara, living alone until death to pick her up later.

The door of the room suddenly opened, making Elana instantly hold back her stuffing with all her might and turn wary. His head was raised quickly to see who entered the room, while his hands gripped the blanket tighter, raising it up to the chest as a form of fragile self-protection.

A handsome young man, neat-looking in a gray suit of a very slippery three-piece suit, was, combined with conventional hair that is combed backwards impeccably and also clear glasses perched on the nose of the sturdy nose. From a single glance, Elana instantly knew that this man had above average academic ability. His entire being reflected the elegant demeanor of an educated man. And behind the man, looked a typical white-coated doctor who followed.

"Good day Miss Elana, my name is Elios Smith. All day you were unconscious, and tonight as soon as I saw you were awake, I immediately took the doctor to check on your condition." The man stood in the middle of the room elegantly and quietly. His hand moved to signal the doctor to examine Elana.

Like an obedient robot, the doctor examined Elana closely, from her eyes to her heartbeat. Elana was just quietly undergoing an examination, but, her eyes were still fixed on the figure of the man who called himself Elios Smith.

Even though the man's appearance seemed harmless, it didn't mean Elana would dispel her vigilance.

Elana has lost her guard on the night of the curse, letting Karel, her newfound janitor, take her to a nightclub that traps her to fall into the hands of the evil Akram.

Her stupidity has made Elana end up raped in a night that will always be cursed for life. Now, Elana won't repeat the same stupidity. He knew that he could not trust Elios. This man certainly has a connection with the events at the nightclub that happened to him, otherwise this man could not have been in the hospital where Elana is currently being treated.

After all, this man said that he knew right away when Elana was awake, when clearly he was not in this room to see. Elana's eyes immediately watched the surroundings suspiciously. Is it possible that they installed a cctv surveillance camera in this room to keep an eye on Elana's movements so that, when Elana regained consciousness, they could figure it out right away?

A sudden sentence from the doctor who finished examining her saying that Elana should not move much and should focus on resting for some time, managed to distract Elana from Elios. Elana could only nod when the doctor uttered some brief technical explanations regarding Elana's current condition. Afterwards the doctor approached Elios who was standing in the middle of the room and they were conversing in a slow voice that was not caught by Elana's ears.

When the two men's discussion was over, the doctor bowed respectfully to Elios and said goodbye and left the room with the door closed behind him.

The atmosphere became silent as Elana turned her attention again to Elios who was still standing quietly in the middle of the room.

“You who?” it was Elan who broke the silence. Both of his hands were clenched as if ready for a fight. This man looked good, but somehow a bad premonition still filled Elana.

Calmly, Elios raised the file in the brown envelope he had been holding in his right hand.

“Sorry because I have not fully introduced myself earlier,” Elios smiled broadly as he threw the shock bomb he had. “I am Elios Smith, personal assistant and secretary to Mr. Akram Night. My existence here is due to be ordered by Mr. Akram to provide the only document of yours left.”

“Akram...” Elana's voice was immediately stuck in her throat when she mentioned the name of the accuser who had raped her. His chest felt a throbbing pain as a deep trauma began to crawl his pulse, rushing in his blood, making it seem as if he was about to explode. “A.. What do you want? Do you want to eliminate witnesses? I... let go of me! I promise I won't say anything about this incident, I will disappear from you and won't involve myself in a single speck with you again!” elana exclaimed in panic, trying to suppress the urge to escape which made her entire body tremble.

Elios's eyes narrowed at Elana's words, but a smile remained perched on his lips as he said.

“If Mr. Akram wants you dead or wants you to disappear, you will instantly become a corpse and will not end up in treatment at this luxurious hospital,”

Elana gaped, surprised to hear Elios' reply. A bad feeling began to crawl over him, making his heart beat even more uncontrollably, hitting his chest cavity until it hurt.

The evil man did not want Elana to die, nor did he want Elana to disappear and disappear from his sight…. What does this man want from Elana?

“I... I just want to be free…. Whatever I will do so that I can go, stay away and not meet again with Akram Night, the evil monster.” Elana's voice sank swallowed by her stuffing, unable to continue as the horror still pervades him when imagining about the abuse and torment that happened to him earlier.

“I'm afraid your wish can't come true, Miss Elana.” Elios was serenely locked in his arms, the file he mentioned was still in his hands, “Because you have no place to go back to in this world other than Mr. Akram,”

The sentence was spoken in a relaxed and calm tone, but the meaning contained within it instantly made Elana gasp in alarm.

“What do you mean?” elana asked quickly, a bad premonition immediately enveloped her back, making her cringe.

“Master Akram ordered to eliminate you from this world. Eliminate you and not kill you. That means I have to do the cleaning job perfectly. We are not worried about the witness of what Mr. Akram did to you last night, because all the witnesses we have vanished without a remnant,” there is a lightning without conscience that appears in the eyes of Elios when he speaks. “Everyone who knows where you are at the club has been wiped out. Sachi, the owner of the club, Karel and even the people who accidentally realized your presence in the club, they have all been silenced for good. I even ordered an investigation into your workplace, into your neighborhood and also did a search of your cell phone to find out if you mentioned your work at the club to anyone other than the one I mentioned above, and thank God, you didn't do it, so we don't have to add any more fatalities to eliminate witnesses.”

Elana widened her eyes, her lips trembling when she realized the terrible meaning of Elios' words. Eliminating witnesses means all of them…. Been murdered?

“Therefore, you need not promise not to sue us in the future for what happened to you. We've cleared it up. No one can connect Elana Maresha to Akram Night. Even for everyone, Elana Maresha is no longer in this world.”

“There is no more in this world?” like a fool who was swallowed in shock, Elana could only repeat the words of Elios helplessly.

“For everyone in the world, you were dead in a fire last night,” there was another, more resolute and deep voice that spoke from the direction the door opened.

Elana turned her head towards the sound, and terror instantly whacked her body, making her gasp in horror and with a trembling body, it instantly inched away shifting its body desperately to be at the side of the bed furthest away from the monstrous aura figure that was currently stepping into the room.

Akram Night entered the room with wide strides and a well-built body. The man was wearing the same formal attire as his assistant. Three-piece suit jacket that fits snugly on his body, deep black color equipped with a shirt and tie dark in tune. Akram's dark appearance makes him look like an unforgiving death angel who wants to snatch away innocent souls and throw them into hell.

“I'll handle it myself, you can go.” Akram spoke briefly to Elios, and his assistant obeyed him immediately.

Elios half-bent in salute, handed over the file he had brought to Akram's hand before leaving the room and closing the door, leaving Elana alone with the monstrous evil man who stood staring at Elana without being covered up.

Then, in a gripping silence, the man stepped closer to Elana, making Elana shuffle helplessly away to the end of the bed, and finally hold on to the farthest end when Akram finally stopped, stand right on the edge of the bed.

“I ordered Elios to burn down your dilapidated and miserable house. Elios put a woman's body on your bed. When the great fire was extinguished, they found only burnt bones that were too damaged to be recognized, so the authorities without hesitation immediately claimed the remains as you.” Akram threw the file in his hand into Elana's lap viciously. “You currently have nothing, you have no place to live, you have no personal belongings, you have no supporting files such as identity cards, social security cards, or even your education. I've obliterated everything.”

Akram grinned as Elana's trembling hand held the file in her hand and her eyes stared at the file in confusion.

“See that file. That is the only proof of your existence left in this world. And after that, you really don't have anything else. In fact, even now you don't have it, because in the eyes of the world, Elana Maresha is dead."

Elana tore the brown envelope with a tremble, her tiny hand moving in a hurry, took out a thick, clean white piece of paper stored inside the brown envelope, pulled the paper in front of her face, and then pulled it out, trying to read the paper carefully, find out why Akram called the file the last proof of his existence in this world.

And when Elana read the whole letter, her voice shrieked in shock mixed with overwhelming shock. His entire body trembled uncontrollably, even with his hands losing strength to make the paper fall to the floor.

I didn't physically kill him. But that man had killed his existence as Elana Maresha in this world...

The file he read…. It was an official death certificate from the state, on behalf of Elana Maresha.
