Xavier immediately straightened his back when he heard the very unexpected news. His voice sounded hoarse and he raised his tone without even realizing it.
“What happened to Elana?” Xavier couldn't help but ask.
Elana has been having a safe pregnancy, even Akram himself told her that Elana's pregnancy is much better than her first pregnancy, which was very good, so safe that Elana is always healthy and as if she is not pregnant.
How could Elana have bleeding if her condition was so good?
Over there, Elios himself seemed at a loss for words. The man broke his own security procedure and called while driving his car through the road to the hospital. Lucky in an early morning situation like this, the road is quiet enough to make it not difficult to drive. However, his divided concentration made Elios difficult to say.
“I don't know for sure either. Mr. Akram called while on his way. He did not explain anything and asked me to follow up to the hospital.”
Xavier frowned at Elios' unsatisfactory answer, clenched his fingers and stroked before speaking in a strong tone.
“I'll catch up to the hospital,” disconnect quickly before closing the conversation.
Xavier put his phone to the bedside nightstand and prepared to get out of bed. At that moment, it was realized Sera had opened her eyes, maybe Xavier's conversation and his movements were the ones that woke Sera from her sleep.
Xavier's eyes softened as the man sat on the edge of the bed extending his hand to rub his wife's cheek.
“What's up? What happened to Elana?” Sera asked in a horrified tone. Xavier's conversation had a little too much of a sneak into his dream when his consciousness was writhing awake.
He did not hear clearly, but Sera understood that something bad had happened to Elana.
Xavier looked at Sera doubtfully, being in a dilemma whether he would explain honestly or not. Xavier was afraid that Sera would be horrified to learn that Elana was bleeding while she was pregnant and that it would affect her psychological condition, which was as pregnant as Elana.
However, Xavier could not hide the facts. He knew that Sera had overheard a little of his conversation with Elios earlier.
“Elana is bleeding. Akram took her to the hospital.” Finally Xavier chose to be honest, telling slowly with a cautious tone of voice.
Sera's eyes widened, shock mixed with anxiety instantly smeared her sparkling beautiful eyeballs.
“Gosh...” For a moment Sera seemed at a loss for words. Then he suddenly raised his head and looked at Xavier with determination. “I went to the hospital,” broke it off in a strong tone.
“No.”
Instantly Xavier replied, a disapproving expression seemed to curdle on his face.
“I have to go to the hospital. I have to see Elana.” Sera spoke half-begging, her hands outstretched and cupped Xavier's black pajama sleeves. “Xavier, I beg you. I have to look at Elana,” her repeat again as if in despair.
Xavier thinned his lips showing his disapproval vividly on his facial expression.
“You are exhausted today after a long round trip to and from the health facility where your father was treated. Now you have to go back to the hospital in the early hours when you haven't slept long enough. I don't want your condition to go down. You certainly remember that your twin pregnancy is included in a risky pregnancy, right?”
Xavier tried to stress his words into Sera so that the stubborn woman would agree.
“After all, the current situation is uncertain. I still don't know Elana's true condition. If the worst happens..” Xavier's voice disappeared swallowed in his throat as if he could not continue his words. “If you're up to Elana... lose the baby to this incident, believe me, I don't think you want to be there. Not because it can traumatize you, but also because your big pregnant condition can make Elana even more shaken.”
Xavier stood up while Sera followed sitting on the edge of the bed. The man then bowed before Sera and cupped both sides of Sera's cheeks attentively.
“Listen to me and stay home for now, huh? Wait until I get certainty about the condition of Elana.”
Sera looked up, looking into the eyes of Xavier who looked at her with tenderness and appreciation.
Xavier had changed considerably from the first time Sera met him, and the change was so drastic that at times when she accepted the man's kind demeanor, Sera wanted to pinch herself to make sure that it was not a dream.
The former Xavier might tie and lock Sera inside the room without explanation, but the present Xavier is willing to persuade and ask Sera for her opinion before deciding anything related to her.
Sera may be a stubborn woman who is sometimes ready to fight if pressed too hard, but for now she is aware of her position. Xavier has been kind to him, that means rationally Sera must reply with patience and not force his will.
After all, he understood what Xavier was worried about. If arrive… Elana lost her baby –though Sera was praying that it would not happen – It would definitely be very difficult and sad for Elana when she had to see Sera who was pregnant with a big bulging stomach that was not it can be hidden again.
Sera slowly nodded her head towards Xavier, indicating that she understood. That made Xavier smile.
“Then, I'll leave now. I'll let you know later.” Xavier quickly stepped into the room closet, then opened it and changed his pajamas with traveling clothes.
“If later Elana's condition turns out well.. May I come to see the hospital?” Sera finally managed to say her wish slowly towards Xavier who was on his back and buttoned his shirt.
Xavier turned his head, looking at Sera while nodding his head.
“I'll work so you can do it. It all depends on your body condition. You must be completely healthy if you want to go to the hospital.”
Sera nodded her head, there was a spark of zeal burning in her eyes.
“I will rest and take my vitamins well. Anyway, if Elana's condition turns out to be good, allow me to look at her, huh?” Sera's eyes found doubt in Xavier's expression and the man did not answer to make him feel determined to make a suggestion. “A-or if you think it is possible. I can stay in the hospital as you proposed first until my condition is stable according to doctor Nathan, or even until I give birth.”
Xavier's eyes widened as if in disbelief.
“You agreed to stay in the hospital until you gave birth?” repeat again, asking to be sure.
In fact, Xavier had proposed to Sera several times to stay in the hospital since her stomach was growing rapidly and her legs were swelling to make it difficult to walk. However, Sera always rejects her on the grounds that the hospital always brings bad memories for her.
Sera nodded her head immediately to answer the question posed by Xavier. However, even though Elana's condition improved, Sera knew that a man as possessive as Akram Night who was so protective of his beloved wife, would not be able to let Elana leave the hospital easily. Arguably, most likely Akram will hold Elana in the hospital until the estimated day of birth of their child which should fall more or less a month.
Sera, who was due to give birth for two more months, did not like if she had to be hospitalized for so long, but if she was accompanied by Elana, maybe her condition would be easier. In addition, the hospital was much closer to the location of the health center where his father was treated when compared to the house they currently occupy.
Xavier watched Sera's expression as if studying it, then after concluding that the woman was serious with her words, he nodded his head.
You could say that if Sera is willing to stay in the hospital until their child is born, then things will be easier. Xavier had planned to borrow one of Akram's apartments close to the hospital, but he didn't need to.
What must be ascertained at this time is the condition of Elana. I hope his sister-in-law is okay.
Xavier stepped closer towards Sera, then placed his hand on both sides of Sera's shoulder and lowered his head to kiss the female's head. As if that wasn't enough, his body bent and his lips gradually followed, peeping the left and right sides of Sera's temple before then shifting to the cheek and anchored on Sera's lips.
The kiss was not the lustful kiss that Xavier often gave to Sera. The kiss is gentle and affectionate, meant as a goodbye from a husband to his wife.
“If I don't leave now I won't be able to stop kissing you.” Xavier smiled softly and his eyes devoured and enjoyed the crimson hue that ran through the surface of Sera's face. Unable to hold back, Xavier lowered his head again and gave a soft kiss to Sera's lips. “I go first yes, promise to go back to sleep and satisfy your break time. I'll let you know as soon as I get certainty.”
Leaving the message in a soft voice, Xavier stepped back and left the room to go to the hospital.

Some of the security guards were also loyal, looking out there, looking around vigilantly even though they might have spent hours of their time doing the same thing continuously in recent times. Even humans still appear to pass by in the lobby, either from health workers or from the families of inpatients who have their own needs.
One of the most crowded parts of this hospital that does not know the time is in the Emergency Unit which is located on the side of the lobby area and has a direct access door to the front area for ease the ambulance reached the entrance of the ER without a hitch.
Xavier's eyes were glued to the inner glass door of the ER that was fused with the lobby area, but he shook his head for a moment.
Panicking, Xavier admits he made a mistake by parking his car downstairs. Akram is not possible to use the official line in the front area. For the sake of Elana's safety, the man must have used a special lane on the top floor that was not easily accessed carelessly by outsiders.
Thinking of that made Xavier rush over to the special elevator area that would take him to the destination floor. Sure enough, when approaching the special elevator area, he saw two bodyguards Akram guard there vigilantly.
Akram has apparently learned lessons from Maya attacks in the past that managed to reach Elana and threaten the life of his wife. Now, not only at the door of the elevator upstairs, Akram also placed his guard on the door of the elevator downstairs, she said, it did not matter that those large tall bodyguards looked conspicuously standing upright like statues in such a common area.
When Xavier stepped closer, the two bodyguards immediately nodded their heads in greeting. They must have been told that Xavier was coming so the move gave Xavier a way to get into the elevator.
Inside the stuffy elevator, the short time it took to head upstairs was torturous. Xavier continued to stare at the crimson-lit writing at the top of the elevator showing the numbers from the tiers of the floors he passed through while calculating inwardly, impatiently reaching his destination.
Never had Xavier this big shot before. He is someone who holds fast to the exact science, where everything can definitely be explained scientifically. It was all because he disliked uncertainty, especially uncertainty regarding the people who were important to him.
Of course Elana is important to Xavier. The woman holds a turning point in her life. It was the woman who taught her that her heart could soften, she was also the deciding angel to clear her misunderstanding with Akram and mend their broken relationship rotting for years.
Xavier was almost in love with Elana, lucky that he managed to keep his heart in time so that it did not fall and could not save itself. For now, the feeling left in her heart for Elana is affection, like a sister who loves her sister, Elana is family to her.
If anything happens to Elana….
Once again Xavier shook his head. The frown on his forehead deepened as he took a breath and tried to get rid of the dreadful thoughts that were stirring up.
Luckily, the elevator door opened, making Xavier get rid of his bad thoughts quickly. He hurried out of the elevator and nodded his head at the guards standing right in front of the door.
Xavier passed through the walled and white-floored passage in silence, silence welcoming his arrival, echoing only the sound of the knocking steps of his shoes walking alone in the hallway.
Xavier took a long breath. This silence strangled him, making him want to immediately seek the end and gain enlightenment.
Lucky Xavier didn't have to be in trouble for long. At the very end where the waiting area of the emergency room was located, his eyes met with Elios's eyes which seemed to have been there for quite some time and sat waiting patiently.
“How is Elana condition?” Xavier could not stand it anymore, immediately asking the most important question that had worried him since.
Elios glanced towards the emergency room.
“Mr Akram said Elana lost her balance and slipped down in the bathroom. The position of the fall is very hard and severe bleeding immediately occurs. Mr. Akram immediately ran him to the hospital. The doctor is currently handling it in a special room inside there. Mr. Akram is also inside to accompany.”
Xavier sighed. Apparently he had to be tormented even longer, Elios who came later was as ignorant as he was.
Xavier slammed his body against Elios. The two men were pensive because there was nothing to talk about with each other. Their eyes once glanced at the closed door of the emergency room, chanting a prayer in their hearts so that Elana was okay.
The second lasted so long that the two of them could no longer count how much time passed. The atmosphere of the waiting area was so silent with no one else but her and Elios. It was as if everyone was busy elsewhere and forgot about the existence of those waiting here.
Xavier himself froze like a statue, not moving a single inch, just his short breath alone made him look like a human instead of a mannequin.
The longer the time they spent in waiting, the more strained their entire body veins were as they were stretched by the almost irresistible pull of anxiety.
Xavier gnashed his molars, feeling that he was about to explode if he had to wait without certainty for much longer. Luckily, all of a sudden, the door of the emergency room opened, making Xavier gasp and immediately stand up followed by Elios who was as tense as he was.
Their eyes were fixed on the figure of Akram stepping out from there. The man looked deathly pale and did not seem to have time to change clothes because he was still wearing light gray pajamas that were only wrapped in a thick black jacket.
What makes Xavier and Elios worried is not Akram's haphazard clothing style in a hurry, but because they see dark spots that stain the delicate light gray color in Akram's pajamas.
Without even being told, they were convinced that the large and terrible patches that were still half wet were blood.
