Episode 75: Hugging Again

Akram came out of his room and ready to depart, his eyebrows raised when he found Xavier leaning against the wall of the hallway near his door and waiting for him. It seems that Xavier did not feel the need to knock on the door and interrupt Akram because he knew that Akram would definitely come out of that room.

"What are you doing here?" Akram frowned with a grim expression. His mood was not good and he did not want it to be exacerbated by Xavier's provocative attitude.

"I just want to talk about a little adjustment" Xavier straightened his back that had been leaning casually against the wall. "Regarding the arrangement about us,"

"What settings need to be adjusted about us? You and I will always be enemies, that won't change even if we work together now,"

"That can be changed, Lana's presence changes everything. I decided I wouldn't be your enemy anymore" Xavier said quickly before connecting. "Of course with the adjustment of some conditions,"

Akram immediately squinted and looked at Xavier suspiciously.

"What exactly is your plan, Xavier?" he asked her then in an impatient tone. He deliberately glanced at his watch blatantly to show Xavier that their time was very narrow if used for just chatting.

Xavier shrugged his shoulders. "You know, to help you save Lana, I'm willing to sacrifice my own biological weapons research company. It's a huge loss because you know that it's my only source of income from the company in physical form, while everything else comes from investing and stock play."

Akram nodded his head. "I knew. I also know that you won't fall poor for losing that company. Besides, didn't you move all your valuable assets before the company was transferred?"

Akram's right. Like Akram, Xavier is not that stupid as giving up the entire company for free without a fight.

If Dimitri succeeds in obtaining all the legality of ownership of the arms companies owned by Akram and Xavier, then Dimitri is only entitled to have assets and research results registered legally as well. What Dimitri does not know is that almost sixty percent of the findings of both modern technology-based weapons belonging to the company Akram, as well as dangerous biological weapons belonging to the company Xavier, the company, not yet registered legally and certainly not included in the list of assets and intellectual property rights that will be transferred to the power of Dimitri.

Akram and Xavier have moved all forms of physical, research data and things related to the important findings of their companies that have not been legally registered to a safe place. They can start a weapons research company that already has a variety of spectacular findings easily as soon as this problem is completed. You could say, Dimitri has only succeeded in transferring forty percent of the company's legal assets that are actually no price.

"Stay that I am experiencing loss," Xavier insisted with a smile on his lips. "Therefore I ask you to accommodate my loss,"

"Didn't you tell me yourself yesterday that you were selfless and just wanted to save Elana?" Akram uttered disgust with a denouncing tone.

Xavier chuckles. "Indeed. My sincerity remains the same if it concerns Lana. But when it comes to you, my sincerity is not that big," Xavier's eyes looked straight at Akram and his gaze turned serious. "Ten percent of the ownership in Night Corperation's main company, and I'm entitled to sit as part of the board of commissioners. That means so little to you, doesn't it? In fact, there's not even half of my biological weapons company that I've abandoned."

Akram was silent, for a moment he considered Xavier's requirements quickly. Giving ten percent of shares only to the main company is not a problem, although of course ten percent of the main company alone has a high value comparable to billions of dollars. But Akram also knew that the company Xavier sacrificed had many times more value than that.

Xavier's request is really a light requirement. Akram's only objection is that he has to tarnish the Night Coorperation company with Xavier's name legally present there.

But Akram is a fair man. He will always give to the person, what is rightfully his, even if that person is his great enemy.

"I agree, talk to Elios and arrange with my lawyer later" he replied later.

Dimitri of course had been waiting in the living room of his house. The man sat there surrounded by his lawyers while the files were ready at the table when Akram came in and Xavier and Elios and Nathan were behind them. There were also some lawyers and of course the bodyguards who followed behind.

If Xavier Light spread a terrifying aura just from the calm demeanor and a fake thin seyum that always unraveled on his lips, Akram Night looked more intimidating. The aura of his strength seemed to dominate when the man entered the room, like a lion in a savannah that made the entire grass-eating animal shiver in fear just by looking at it approaching.

Dimitri was not unaware that both Akram and Xavier had collaborated by putting a large number of his troops to swoop around his house. It was not impossible that if there was an opportunity, they would break their promise and carry out an attack that caused bloodshed.

Because, even though Dimitri had prepared a great army to fight, it was still likely that he would lose if he had to take the path of physical combat and weapons. That is why he had to keep his most powerful medium of exchange, Elana, close to his control until the acquisition was signed. Dimitri had also set up a special escape route by helicopter and was on tight guard so he could escape the situation quickly when things suddenly deteriorated.

As Akram and the others moved closer, Dimitri got up from his seat to greet his guests in a polite manner like a good host.

"Special guests, welcome to my humble home," Dimitri greeted kindly with his usual dramatic words.

Unfortunately, his hospitality did not get a similar reception. Akram Night who led the group of guests looked at him with a condescending look mixed with disdain like looking at dirt.

"Where's Elana?" without further ado, Akram immediately asked what the center of his concentration was. His eyes looked around Dimitri's vast living room. There was a hallway connecting to the other wing of the house, and there was also a large staircase leading to the second floor in the middle of the room that seemed to dominate the attention.

But wherever Akram searched, he found no sign of Elana here.

"Elana will be brought here any minute. My technique is setting it up" Dimitri replied calmly. After his guests sat on the chairs he had specially prepared, Dimitri followed.

"Technician?" Akram frowned and immediately grabbed Dimitri's puzzle sentence with a question.

Dimitri looked at Akram and Xavier alternately. The two tycoons were now looking at him with extremely terrifying killing gazes. If only he did not have Elana as his guarantee, at this time he might have died with a formless body condition again. Lucky there was Elana in his grasp so that Dimitri could be so powerful, subduing the two beasts in front of him to not dwell.

I don't know what speciality is in Elana so that it can make the two men in front of her willing to sacrifice everything. In fact, if he had more opportunities, Dimitri would have wanted to study Elana further, he also felt an interest in a simple woman who looked fragile but turned out to have a hard heart. Unfortunately, Dimitri didn't have much time. He should also focus on his ultimate goal of mastering Akram Night's two weapons companies.

"I put an explosive bracelet in Elana's hand. The bracelet was locked with a special seal that only my technician could open," Dimitri replied clearly with a grin. "I'm the only one holding the trigger and I can blow it up at any time. Of course I intend well to release Elana as soon as the acquisition agreement is signed and I can leave safely from this place. You'll be able to get your girl without any shortage."

Of course Dimitri did not have a chance to negotiate. Finally he signaled to his men to take Elana to this place, in front of Akram.

Soon, Dimitri's men came, flanking Elana in the middle of their guard, and sat her in a chair close to where Dimitri was sitting.

Silence stretched through the air as Akram made no sound and focused his attention by watching Elana closely. Her heart throbbed painfully and created a stifling feeling that hurt when witnessing Elana's condition with her own eyes.

It was very desirable that Akram pulled Elana into his arms at once in a tight embrace. Moreover, at this moment he could clearly stare at Elana who looked so fragile and helpless.

Akram gritted his teeth with an angry clenched hand as his eyes found bruises on the corners of Elana's lips, choking marks on her neck as well as other marks on her arms and hands that were not covered in clothes. As much as he was able to contain the burning anger and try to be calm.

"Hurry to finish this. Where your files are, my lawyer will check them before Xavier and I sign them" Akram said directly at Dimitri, forcing himself to give up eye contact with Elana to immediately resolve all existing matters.

"Happy" Dimitri's smile widened as he signaled to his lawyer to bring in the legalities of the acquisition. Two teams of lawyers from opposite parties then met each other and discussed seriously.

Usually, for the implementation of such a large company acquisition, a gradual process will be needed that can last for months. But, using power, money and urgent situations, everyone works hard with the aim of successfully completing this whole process in just one night.

After the two sides secured an agreement, the final contract file was brought before Akram and Xavier to be signed. Akram himself reread the contract carefully before signing it. The transfer of the contract file towards Xavier who seems to choose to believe in the judgment of Akram and also his lawyer team, because the man immediately signed without reading it again.

Dimitri could not help but smile when finally the letter that officially inaugurated the ownership of the two weapons companies that he so desperately coveted was held in his hands. He signed it, then handed it to his lawyer to keep it as a treasured note of immeasurable value.

Dimitri immediately got up from his seat, slightly bowing with a deliberate attitude of appreciation.

"Thank you for the cooperation provided, I'm glad we can sit together and compromise without any bloodshed" he said shamelessly. "Now I will leave this place because I have what I want. As soon as my helicopter is airborne far away to where you can't reach, my technician will release the explosive bracelet from Elana's hands" Dimitri's eyes sparkled with great pleasure, filled with impatience for his wide-open path as the ruler and supplier of the world's number one invincible military weapon.

When Dimitri turned around and left the place followed by some of his confidants, Akram was not paying attention anymore. His gaze was fixed on Elana who was still staring blankly, as if he could not believe that all the terrible things that surrounded him were almost over...

Now, can he bring back Elana into his protection?

"Elana," Akram appears to ignore the technicians left by Dimitri to handle the explosive bracelet in Elana's hands later. He stepped closer carefully, with all his might holding himself back from crashing at the woman and instead making her even more frightened than she is now.

Elana looked like a wounded little animal, trembling with pain and fear, Akram was worried that if she acted rashly, she would grow increasingly frightened with the deep trauma in her soul.

However, in the past, Akram was a man who also once forced his will ruthlessly on Elana....

Tormenting for not being able to charge towards Elana, Akram stopped his steps at a distance that he thought would not scare Elana. Both of his hands were open, his expression softened and his eyes were cautious, like coaxing a desperate wild animal at the end of the room and unable to run anymore.

"Elana," again whispered the woman's name with a coaxing voice mixed in torment.

Elana raised her head, looking back at Akram. His heart was pounding as he managed to convince himself that what was in front of him this was reality.

Dimitri who held him hostage and locked him away, he is free now, he is safe.

What was clenching Elana's chest and creating an uncomfortable hot feeling at the base of her throat instantly broke into pieces. Elana's tears rolled and then hardened her cheeks as she sobbed. His steps faltered as he tried to get up. However, his legs did not want to give up, bringing his body to walk faster, and faster, and it kept getting faster before then Elana managed to run and then jumped into the arms of Akram who immediately caught and wrapped his tiny body and tremble with the arms arms strong embrace.

"Accordial.... Acram!" Elana could not say anything else, only mentioning Akram's name repeatedly among her sobbing sedu.
