CHAPTER 14
I stared at the chest while twisting my hands, then took the letter and opened the door to the house.
I've realized, even in a daze overnight, in this house there are three tiny spaces, namely the main room is mostly used as a fireplace & kitchen, & the other two rooms are used for the bedroom.
Aunt Vania wasn't in the main room, and the room I wasn't sleeping in was sealed shut. I dare not peek at him. Of course, Devan must be brave.

“ This is for you.” I managed to talk, & reach out the letter.
Aunt Vania took it with her greenish hands and then removed the seal of her letter. He read it while standing, then threw his paper on the table. “Do you know what it is?” tanyakanya.
I shook my head.
My face grew hotter and forced me to look into his eyes, a thank you, or a gift of guilt, just like the money they gave me? Payment, for the burden placed on his lap?
Even so, I will try to put on a happy face, because I also got “ gift”. After all, the Royal Forest, which was in the northern part of Vivaskari, was only open to the royal family. Other than them, no one was allowed to hunt any animals or pick any plants there.
“ They are so good, right?”
Aunt Vania grunts. “ Maybe, if I have the funds to go to the capital at least once in a year. But I don't have any. Or if I thought there were plants growing there and not growing here. & I don't think so either.” Vania's aunt flicked her shoulders with a sigh. “ No problem. I didn't expect much from the king about things that could help ordinary people like me. Nor do you hope they care about it.”
I wanted to protest, & say the king & queen do care, but that sentence did not come out, which was imagined only the king & queen who sent their baby & received another baby, the commoner babies were probably left to die to replace their babies.that, & the disturbing sensation that maybe, from a certain point of view, my aunt was right.
“ I think I'm hungry,” suddenly my aunt said, like know what I feel & I know this gift problem has been forgotten.
“ The food is not as you normally eat, but on the table there is a little bread & cheese.”
My aunt was right, the food was not what I used to eat in the palace. But I still tried to smile, my face did not remember how to complete the move, and nodded while saying. “ Thank you. I am hungry.”
