Cdxliv Chapter
“I will escort you back to the tent, Princess,” Duke said as he halted his footsteps before me.
“No need, I can walk myself to the tent,” I replied by waving both my hands at him.
I bowed before him, “Uncle, thank you for all the help,” I said as I got back to my feet staring at him.
I walked past him, sometimes I turned to glance at him who was still staring at me from a distance. My footsteps moved faster and faster, even faster as his shadow had disappeared from view. I ran away from the village, not paying attention to anything behind me.
My footsteps came to a halt on a large rock that I had been hiding with Izumi before. I moved closer to the stone then sat leaning against it, “I have distracted Duke. I hope Izu-nii does her job very well,” I whispered slowly by rubbing my sweat-soaked forehead.
I raised my gaze at the sky that was darkening with time, “Kou, come! I need your help. Stay in the air Kou, until I call you back,” muttered me by returning to look forward.
My body gasped as I caught the sound of falling objects beside me, I glanced up, long I stared at the pair of shining eyes that never stopped looking at me. “Call Kou, now!” The man's voice whispered along with the movement of the pair of eyes to the side.
“Kou!”
I close my eyes when the cold air suddenly slaps from the front, “this is all I can collect, go up first,” Izumi said, I could see nothing but that pair of shining eyeballs.
“Where are Haru-nii, Lux and also Eneas?”
I stood up as I felt something pull my hand, “they'll be here soon. Hurry up, before the residents or the Duke realize we are disappearing,” whispered Izumi's voice heard in the darkness.
I walked after the pull on my hand, my body suddenly lifted up when the grip on my hand was released, “Kou,” I said as my hand touched the skin I was sitting on.
“Sachi,” I turned towards his audible voice, “hold this bag, I will pick them up,” Izumi said again, I almost fell forward as my hand grabbed that pretty heavy thing in front of me.
I held my breath by lifting the bag Izumi was referring to up, tightly hugging the large square object that was in front of me. I looked up, looking up at the dark sky with no stars or moon adorning it.
“Kou, can you use time magic?”
“What do you mean, My Lord?”
“Haruki said, if in a Kingdom, there is an animal whose body is covered with ice. The ice can not be destroyed even if done anything, to him,” I said by leaning my face into the bag that I hug it.
“Then, allow me to confirm it later, once we get there,” replied Kou who was back ringing in the head.

I raised my face staring in all directions as Kou suddenly returned to voice, my eyes stalled towards the pair of shining eyes that were moving closer. “Kou, help us!” Haruki's voice rang out near my feet as the pair of shining eyes just now stopped at the side.
I tightly hugged the bag that was in front of me as Kou's body started moving, “why can you hold it?” Izumi whispered from behind.
“Bring us to the nearest city, Kou!”
“Why don't we go straight to Ardenis Kingdom?”
“Going to the Kingdom of Ardenis, means we have to pass through the Empire. You want to take Kou when we pass the Empire?”
I was speechless as Haruki answered my words, “but it's the same isn't it? We keep passing through the Empire in the end,” I said back to him.

I walked forward as I felt something grabbing and pulling my hand. “Do you remember the path of Izumi?”
“I've remembered it when we were above, I will take you straight to the city using the fastest lane,” reply Izumi chimed in Haruki's words.
I again walked up to the grasp that pulled my hand, I raised my head up, looking up at the faint moonlight covered in thin clouds in the sky. “As I said, right?” I turned my eyes back to the front as Izumi's voice sounded.
I stepped in his footsteps walking back to us, my eyes falling on the big bag he was carrying on his back. “Nii-chan, you brought that much stuff from Duke's tent?”
Izumi stopped her steps and turned to look at me, “you yourself asked me to steal her valuables,” she said who gripped tightly on my head.
“Dad will definitely kill us all, if he finds out .. His children stole his own friend's stuff,” Izumi continued, he released his hand grip on my head before he turned around and walked away.
“I can't find where they hid Izumi's bag, nor do I know where they keep all our weapons. Good work, you have an idea to steal Duke's belongings, otherwise .. We will not be able to get supplies to continue the journey,” Haruki said, I glanced at her who was walking past as I felt a soft clap touch my head.
