CCCXCV Chapter
Haruki, Izumi, and also Eneas ran over as I shouted what Kou said earlier. Kou opened his mouth wide, his head turned around until a high wall of ice surrounded us. My eyes grew as my eyes fell on the many black shadows that were closing in.
I subconsciously retreated back a few steps until it stopped touching the legs of Kou who was behind my body. Dozens of Manticore stood around us, their fangs and claws clearly visible on the transparent ice wall that Kou made. They clawed at the ice walls until small lines, marks from their claws filled the wall.
My eyes turned to our sprawled horses, long I stared at my white horse which had been lying on its back with two Manticores on its right and left sides. My horse's legs rose into the air, convulsing as the two Manticores pointed their fangs and claws tore the belly of the poor horse.
I clasped my hands firmly as I stared at one of the Manticore very greedily eating the intestines of the horse that was scattered on the ground, “call him My Lord!” Kou's voice sounded startling in the mind, I turned my head back towards him who was further immersing the Manticore's head into the ground.
“Call him My Lord!” Kou's voice rang out once more, my eyes slightly closed as my ears were slightly buzzing by the Manticore roar that was still under his feet.
My body went back backwards, not .. Not because I stepped back, but because the Kou tail surrounding my body made me retreat by itself. At the same time, the sound of falling objects sounding strongly from behind, I tried to ascertain what happened. But failed, by Kou's body blocking my vision.
My head was lowered to the point of touching Kou's tail when a very, very loud roar sounded, even exceeding the previous roar touching my ears. Kou's tail wrapped around my body made me slightly lift into the air, Kou again lowered me as Haruki raised both of his hands up trying to grab me.
Haruki took me down from her carrier, she pulled my hand further away from Kou. My eyes widened wide, as I stared at a large Manticore standing in front of Kou. The Manticore's body, twice as big as the Manticore that is still under Kou's grip.
Kou raised a little bit of his leg that was on the head of the Manticore that he had clutched before, the head of the Manticore was stepped on by Kou so hard that the creature's head sank to the ground by almost half.
Kou raised back his legs, he started moving slowly towards the giant Manticore. The manticore moved sideways with his head slightly looking up, looking at Kou's face which was only slightly taller than his. I stared at their two tails that were unceasingly swerving in the air.
I frowned slightly as the roars from the Manticore filled the air. My head moved around, staring at the Manticores who were clawing back at the ice walls, some of them even hitting the ice walls with their heads and tails. The surroundings suddenly quieted down as the giant Manticore roared so loudly that it made my ears ring when it heard it.
Kou opened his mouth wide again, the fragments of ice coming out of his mouth froze half the Manticore's body. The manticore roared so loudly that it felt deafening, both my eyes glanced to the left.
The manticore moved its scorpion-like tail, pounding the ice around its body. He roared again followed by his tail that was moving faster hit the ice that Kou made. Kou swung his tail firmly to slap the Manticore's face, “Kou!” I screamed strongly as the Manticore took a strong bite out of its tail.
I stared at the blood dripping on Kou's tail as the Manticore released its bite, the droplets of blood billowing small white smoke as it fell to the ground. The creature's head was seen getting deeper into the ground as Kou's feet repeatedly stomped on his head, “call him My Lord,” Kou's voice again ringing in the head.
My eyes suddenly darkened, I slightly turned my head upwards, looking at Haruki who had been standing before me with one hand holding my head. I glanced to the left as the voices of Izumi and Eneas came together, they both raised their hands rubbing against the clothes they were wearing.
“Damn it!” Izumi muttered by stepping on the small chunks of ice that were slapping near their feet, “call him My Lord!” Kou's voice coming back made me slightly put my head aside, trying to look at Kou and the Manticore.
“Kou!” I shouted out loudly calling out his name, Kou stopped his foot from stepping on the head of the creature, “if you don't want to call me My Lord .. Then I, won't force you to call me like…” My words came to a slight halt as Kou reopened his mouth, freezing the Manticore's tail that had previously been lifted up.
“People disgusting man sepe..” The voice that rang in my head suddenly stopped when Kou's feet stepped on the head of the creature again, “you lowly creatures! Pay respect to him,” the voice of the man who crossed my head earlier was replaced by the voice of Kou who was also slowly ringing.
“For what is kneeling to greedy and weak creatures like them? They are nothing but food for us,” the voice of the man who tapped my ear slowly before seemed increasingly audible.
“Greedy man?” I muttered softly while still staring at them, The Manticore raised his head slowly at me, “if humans like you do not attack our dwellings with creatures like this. We're not going to get kicked out of our house!"
“I don't know anything about the person who attacked you. We actually came here, because lately .. Some of our Knights disappeared when they were assigned to dispose of the corpse here.”
“We need food, human meat is too delicious to be able to refuse,” his words back ringing in the head, “I will give you a lot of food.”
“My Lord,” my head slightly raised looking at him as Kou's voice flashed across my head.
“I know, who attacked you. If you guys,” I say stopped, my head bowed grabbing Haruki's hand holding my arm as my two legs stepped closer to Kou and the Manticore, “you want the creature to join us instead, nii-chan?” I smiled at him, I took off his hand before walking back to leave him.
