I glanced to the side as I felt the claps touching my back. I nodded my head before moving my horse back. We continued riding until our horse steps stopped at a wooden house with a row of fish dried on a wooden table next to the house.
“Please enter, Sir. Sorry, if my house is too small for you,” he said as he opened the door of the house.
“This is more than enough, thank you,” said Haruki, he got off his horse, then pulled and tied the horse in the wood beside the house.
I also moved down from the horse, I gave the reins to Izumi who raised her palm towards me. My steps moved closer to Haruki followed by my eyes that were still watching the several residents who were lifting one by one a wooden barrel onto the cart.
“I don't see a woman here,” I said as I stared at Kacper who seemed stunned looking at me.
“Women, indeed not allowed to stay here. Here, all the fishermen only think about what fish they will catch tomorrow. But that doesn't mean, women aren't around here. They do exist, living in the next village which is only reserved for men here who want to seek the warmth of women. So, no wonder if there are fathers and children who do not know each other when they meet.”
