CCCXXVIII Chapter
Kuro stopped moving in front of the ice sheet floating on the surface of the water. I swam forward to grab the ice sheet, my body suddenly lifted into the air. I thrust my head back, staring at the enormous white wings that were unceasingly flapping in the air.
Kou moved his head to the side, I put both my hands around his neck while one of my feet moved past and sat on his back. Kou flew around until the look of my eyes fell on the mermaid group who was looking at me from behind the sea water.
"Sachi!"
"Sa-chan!"
The cries calling out my name continued to sound, I thrust my head at Haruki, Izumi, and also Zeki who had set their feet on the ice sheet. Kou landed his body in front of them, I was still silent... Not moving at all on his back.
"Sa-chan," Haruki's voice teased, my head getting bowed with my strong bite of my lips.
"Sorry," I said slowly, covering my face with both palms.
"I couldn't save Eneas. I failed to save her," I cried, the stronger my palm had been on my face.
"Sa-chan," she said slowly followed by a slow touch on my left arm.
"A little more, but a little more. Nii-chan," I cried back to look at her, Haruki directed her hand to grab my neck and pushed her until my face touched her shoulder.
"Eneas is fine" he said, patting me gently on the back of my neck.
"What do you mean nii-chan? Before I was unconscious, I saw it for myself... I saw the glass ball that was holding his soul broken," I said with a trembling voice, the deeper I buried my face on his shoulder.
"Now Lux is taking care of her. His body was not moved yet, but Aeneas was regained consciousness," said Haruki, lifting my face from his shoulders.
"Certainly that?" My eyes were directed towards Izumi and Zeki, they nodded several times answering my gaze.
"You're not lying, are you?"
"We're not lying, Aeneas has regained consciousness since yesterday. You did very well as his sister" Haruki said, pointing his hands at my waist.
Haruki lifted my body from Kou's back, lowering it back in front of him. I turned my head towards the purplish tail fin that appeared above the water surface, slowly my legs stepped closer to the tail fin that sometimes sank into the water, sometimes reappearing on the surface.
"Kuro" I said slowly as I put my legs on my knees on the ice sheet.
"Thank you," I said again as I thrust my palm into the water touching his head.
"What is that thing?" Zeki's voice came from behind me, I turned around and threw my face back quickly as he moved his head beside my shoulder.
"He, the seahorse. I gave it the name Kuro."
"Because he's black, so you gave him the name Kuro?" Continued Izumi who had also been squatting beside me.
"I, just suddenly thought of that name," I said with occasional forced laughter.
"Then, does he have powers?"
"She, she can swim very fast," I glanced at Haruki who had also been squatting beside me.
"Swimming very fast, it seems... You enjoyed your journey" Haruki said back to me.
"The story is very long, I will tell you everything, nii-chan," I said to him.
"For a moment about that. What I want to ask, who is he?" Izumi asked, I turned to look at her.
"Ebe, what are you doing here?" I asked him when he had placed his hand on the ice sheet.
"I want to take you, so I'm secretly following you" he said, keeping his eyes on Izumi.
"Then? How about..." I said, I bow my head trying to find the male mermaids.
"I've said, they can't speak human language, after all... They can't get out of the water, unlike me who can breathe on land like you," he said without looking at me.
"Sachi," Izumi said, moving her head towards me.
"She's my friend nii-chan, she's the one who helped me while in the sea" Izumi said.
"Is that so?"
"Thank you for helping my two younger siblings" Izumi turned back to look at Ebe.
"That's handsome. Your name? Are you married?" Ebe asked once again with great enthusiasm, Izumi turned her gaze back towards me.
"Ebe, I think they've been waiting for you" I said with one hand pointing to the right of his body.
"But" he said bowed.
"Are you, in love with my sister Izumi?" Haruki's voice suddenly rang out, I turned to look at him who was aiming at Ebe.
"Name, Izumi. Takaoka Izumi's."
"Right-DOING..." Izumi's words came to a halt as Haruki glanced at her.
"Did you know? My sister Izumi likes women she can count on. What can you do for us? Maybe, my sister will fall in love with you," Haruki said again, his eyes looking back at Ebe.
"Haru nii-chan," I said slowly, I held up one hand to grab her arm.
"I don't know when the Emperor knew where you were. However, if the Emperor knows of your existence, it is certain that your nation will be destroyed by them," Haruki said, without elaborating on my words.
"What do you want to say?"
"I don't know if you've heard of this or not. But, the Emperor... The supreme leader on the mainland was very fond of destroying one's life. In fact, the only ones left behind from the fairies came with us to fight him..."
"You want me to invite the whole mermaid nation to help you? That so?"
"You're smart, so I won't waste my time. How many creatures are there like you?"
"I want you to seduce them all to help us," said Haruki, looking back at Ebe who glanced at me.
"What do you really want to do?"

"Emperor, kill all our mothers" Haruki said in response to Ebe's words.
"Sachi?" Reveal the Ebe that I replied with a nod of the head as she looked at me.
"As information to you, the Emperor has the same large animal as Sachi. The emperor too, has countless non-human beings like you under his command. Emperor, even destroyed an entire nation of fairies just to take the flower of life that the fairies took care of."
"If you don't want this world to end. Then the only way to do that is to destroy them" Haruki told Ebe.
"I don't understand what you're saying" said Ebe, addressing us in turn.
"I'll explain everything" Lux's voice suddenly sounded, I put my head back.
"I'll tell you everything" Lux said again, as she moved her wings flying closer.
"Eneas waiting. Thank you, for coming home safely" Lux said slowly as she flew past me.
"Fish, listen to my story carefully. If you've listened to everything, bring all your nations to help us fight a war later" Lux said, flying in front of Ebe.
