Fake Princess

Fake Princess
DXXV Chapter

I rubbed my lips with my palm, the sun was soaring higher and more make the view around us clearly visible. “What is it, mass burial?” muttered Izumi who was beside me.

I climbed down from the horse by giving my horse's harness to Tsubaru's open palm. “Beware,” said Izumi who had also come down from her horse and put her foot on the side.

I grabbed and clasped Izumi's hand, slowly we descended the abyss in front of us. I glanced sideways, staring at the scattered bones or even skulls, it was when my eyes fell upon a rotten corpse that was half-sunk into one of the great tree trunks that grew along the ravine.

I took a deep breath as my steps came to a halt, my head bowed down by slowly lifting up next to my feet that had been sinking in the mud. Both my eyes grew bigger, “nii-chan,” I whispered with a glance towards Izumi as I felt something touch my feet from the mud.

I spontaneously screamed by embracing Izumi's neck until we both fell into the mud as I felt something almost wrapped around my feet. “A-” Izumi stopped, she immediately bowed while rubbing her face full of mud using her arms.

I slightly tilted my head, rubbing the side of the face that was also filled with mud when Izumi fell along, “what are you doing?!” she snapped as she looked at me with her blackened face.

“You two, what are you two doing?!”

“Ask him who suddenly pulled me down!” reply Izumi snapped at Haruki who had been sitting back on his horse staring at us.

“Someone wrapped around my feet in the mud. Really amused me,” my connection shouted, I raised my hand to reach Tsubaru's hand that was sticking out towards me.

“I'm sorry, it's actually my root, I purposely spread it to make sure things go around.”

“At least tell me first if you want to do it, Ryu!

“I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I thought, you might have felt it,” said Ryuzaki who also looked at me from the top of his horse.

“Princess,” said Tsubaru who made me turn to her.

I slightly tilted my face as Tsubaru raised her arm and rubbed the sleeves of her clothes beside my face full of mud. “My heart almost came out earlier. Jeez, it's annoying,” muttered as I stepped closer to my horse and rode on it.

“Actually what are you afraid of? During this time you always face a lot of strange creatures,” Izumi grumbled that sounded from behind.

“This and that is something different. After all, I was just shocked, and also ... Because I couldn't see what was in the mud making me more and more, more and more -”

“You guys really make me dizzy. Ryu, if you want to cast magic, at least give us some signs to be ready .. Since there's been a lot going on during the journey, make everyone be wary and cautious. Something suspicious will instantly make people's minds mess up, do you understand?” haruki said, he stopped his steps and turned towards her.

“I understand brother, I will not repeat it,” Ryuzaki continued, Haruki again nodded his head before his horse's steps continued.

“Daughter, are you sure you're okay?”

“I'm fine, Tsubaru. I was just a little surprised earlier.”

“Sachi, sorry.”

I turned to the side, looking at Ryuzaki who had been riding looking at me, “it's okay, I've no problem with it,” I said, my face bowed again by moving the reins until my horse continued its steps.

The more we walked forward, the more the horse I rode sank into the water. I glanced at Tsubaru, he continued to walk beside me even though the water had touched his chest. “Haruki, do we have to continue the journey? I mean, I'm not sure if there's someone who lives there, Izumi who suddenly returned to voice, he raised his face which he had previously washed using water towards Haruki who was riding in front of us.

“What do you think, Ryu?” haruki said, his horse stopped with his face turned towards Ryuzaki riding beside me.

“I had trouble feeling what was ahead there with this much water,” Ryuzaki replied as he re-opened his two eyes.

“How about you Sachi, do you feel something there?”

“And you, Lux? Do you feel anything?” continue Haruki back who glanced towards Tatsuya who was nearby.

“She said, for now not. Maybe if we were a little more advanced, he would feel something,” said Tatsuya who turned towards Haruki the previous time he turned his head towards Lux who was sitting on his shoulder.

“How so? Do you want to come back after so far?”

“I don't want to go back before making sure. Even if there is no life there, at least we can look for other possibilities regarding the letter,” I said, my horse moved closer and closer to Haruki as both of my hands wiggled back the reins.

“Alright, we will continue the journey,” timpal Izumi who made Haruki smile looking at him.

I was stunned when Haruki suddenly jumped down from his horse, “Tatsuya, get on!”

“But Your Majesty,” said Tatsuya when Haruki had walked and stopped his steps in front of him.

“If I say ride on horseback, then ride!”

I frowned as Haruki's glance led to me, “Tsubaru, get on the horse,” said I who came down from the horse I was riding.

“Eh? Princess?”

“Tsutomu, go up!” added Izumi who apparently also has done the same thing as us.

“Yuki, you go up!” eneas continued, I glanced at him as he walked with the water that had reached his chin.

“Arata, you also ride on the horse carrying the bag,” Haruki commands by lifting his index finger towards the horse beside Tsutomu.

“But, but why should we do it?”

“Tsutomu is right, Your Majesty. We do not deserve to ride horses, while you are walking in the middle of the water,” timpal Tatsuya, he looks confused to look at us.

“The four of us can breathe underwater, while you can't. If the water gets higher, you will drown, and at that time I will order you not to follow us and just sit on the horse,” Haruki said, he directed his glances towards us in turn.

“But Yang-”

“No but-fireplace!” haruki's snapping directly cut off Tatsuya's words.

“If you force yourself, you will interrupt our journey. So just follow my orders, don't go against it!”

“Create, Your Excellency.”

“Do it, Prince,” said Tatsuya and the other vice-captain simultaneously.

“Princess.”

“As my brother said, we can breathe underwater. No matter how deep the water is, we can continue our journey with ease. So-”

“According to your orders, Princess,” he said, I rewinded my steps when Tsubaru had placed her palm on the back of my horse.
