“Lewat here,” said Haruki moving his horse to the right side.
My horse moved following the footprints of Haruki's horse that walked down the side of the ravine, “nii-chan, did nii-chan really not know anything about that place?” I asked who moved more and more to catch up with him.
Haruki turned his head to the side looking at me, “I really don't know, I even just learned of the existence of this Kingdom. I only rely on information from Dad, Tatsuya and Daisuke,” Haruki said before he looked straight ahead again.
“Is there anything interesting there? Why did Dad ask us to visit him?” I muttered with a glance back across.
“Not that we are asked to visit the funeral of his best friend Father?” Eneas spoke from behind.
“Dad won't ask us to do such trivial things. For what he sent all his children just to attend a funeral .. And also, if some vice-captain only gave vague information, he said, I'm sure it has something to do with one of us,” Izumi chimed in on Eneas.
“As expected of Izumi.”
“What do you mean?” Izumi Timpal is back after what Haruki said.
“Nothing, I am only moved by your growing attitude over time,” Haruki said without moving his gaze in the least.
The horse we were riding was increasingly walking through the trees as the lead Haruki led us into the forest. Haruki was still silent, staring to the right, towards the gaping chasm beside us.
“Meet,” Haruki said again heard, my eyes turned to follow him who had ridden his horse to a stone bridge that ran between us and also the region across there.
“Do you know if there is a bridge around here?”
Haruki shook his head in reply to Izumi's words, “I only gave it up. Some of our Knights have come here often, meaning that there will be a path that allows them to visit the place. And also, I don't even know the place .. Means it's one of those places that are very secretive like Balian Village, where Daisuke's origin is.”
“Learning from it, I'm sure the path taken will be hidden. Therefore, after I saw the forest from a distance. I invite you here by keeping an eye on the abyss so as not to lose direction,” continued Haruki as he moved closer and closer to the stone bridge.
Haruki stopped his horse then turned his head towards the back, “how? Are you ready?” He asked, I glanced sideways as Izumi's horse stopped beside me. “Do not talk much, quickly move,” Izumi said while replying to Haruki's glance.
“Good. Sa-chan,” Haruki said, she slightly moved her head with both eyes turning to glance at me.
I moved my horse slightly forward, I grabbed a bow along with one arrow on my back as I stopped the footstep of the horse I was riding. I pointed my arrow that was stuck in the bow towards the stone bridge. Haruki rode his horse walking down the bridge and then stopped back right near my arrow that stuck on the footing of the bridge.
My horse came forward to follow him, then stopped again as I shot the second arrow. Haruki came back on his horse and stopped back near the arrow I shot. Haruki and I continued to do so over and over again until our horses had stepped across.
Izumi and Eneas, who were on the other side, started riding their horses towards us. My eyes turned toward my ten arrows that were still firmly stuck on the wooden bridge, “the bridge was even sturdy,” Haruki's voice heard on the side.
“You threw away a lot of your arrows in vain,” I turned towards Izumi who had glanced at me.
I sighed by riding my horse back, “it was better than the bridge suddenly collapsed by a trap when we passed it,” I said by riding my horse back following Haruki.
Haruki moved his horse back down the edge of the abyss like before. Sometimes Haruki's horse stops when he moves his face to look in all directions, “we will stay down the edge of the abyss until we find the rock again,” said Haruki who made me take my eyes off looking at her.
“You're worried about a trap? What did I say was true?” Haruki nodded his head as Izumi chimed in on his words.
“Avoiding traps?” This time Aeneas who was riding his horse behind Haruki raised a voice.
“The stone bridge has become a strange thing and should be suspected Eneas,” I said as I glanced at his back.
Eneas turned around with a slight frown, “suspected?” He looked back straight ahead.
“We are only told to pass through steep hills if we want to get there. As Haru nii-chan said, if it's a hidden place .. Then they won't live near that bridge, they might set many traps for the newcomers who knew nothing about the place. So the only way is to avoid the area around the bridge.”
“And because we are asked to only go to the steep hills, therefore we only have to go down the edge of the ravine to get to the rock. What did I say is true, nee-chan?” I glanced back at Aeneas then nodded my head as he turned to me again.
“I didn't expect if you guys would understand it that quickly,” Haruki's voice again sounded in the ears.
“I don't know what's in there, it's just ... All I hear, they have fighting abilities that should not be underestimated. Maybe Dad asked us to come here to improve our fighting skills,” Haruki continued while trying to glance at us who were behind him.
“If it's true, then I'll gladly do it. Neither Daisuke nor Dad ever showed his true abilities when he trained me, therefore my fighting ability was not very developed,” Izumi grumbled which made me glance at him.
Is he kidding? He said if his abilities are not too developed, then what about me? Am I walking in place?
“What's up? Do you want to say something?”
I glanced to the left, trying to avoid the eye glances he did towards me, “no. I'm just fascinated by your figure, nii-chan,” I said without looking back at her.
“Either why, I refuse to believe it,” he said heard from behind.
“Be careful,” whispered Lux who suddenly sounded, “ada a crowd of humans who came closer,” he continued who again whispered softly in the ear.
