I walked back down the stairs with Adofo and Gritav behind me. I held my bow firmly as both my eyes looked straight ahead. “How are you from the other team?” I again asked the two of them who were still silent behind me.
“Our troops in the South get an impromptu attack, almost half of the fortress wall collapsed. Lucky they can all still survive until the day ends,” said Gritav opened his voice.
“Then? What about my brother Haruki and also Eneas?” I stopped my steps and turned to look at him.
“Haruki and Eneas, they are both fine. I forgot to tell you, Hime-Sama. Actually it was one of their plans to destroy the enemy in one strike,” Gritav said back to me.
I turned back the body standing back to them, “thank God, if they're okay,” I said back to continue the step.
I immediately turned my head to the left as my two feet had climbed to the top of the fortress. “How are things?” I also stepped closer to the three Knights who stood guard all night at the top of the fort. “They still have not done the movement of Hime-Sama,” said one of the men whose height passed his two friends who stood to the right and left of his body.
“They did nothing from last night?” I made sure again, the man nodded his head followed by the two men beside him.
“Well,” muttered as I turned my eyes back to the enemy troops, I stared long ago at the enemy pedestrians, they, they turned their eyes toward a man sitting on a black horse.
The man who was on the black horse directed his horse to walk back to the troops who were still standing behind him. The man raised his right hand into the air, intermittently .. The whole army behind him, whether it be pedestrians, or horsemen.
“Command the troops to wait for my cue!” My head quickly turned towards the back which was immediately greeted by a nod of Gritav's head. “All teams prepare to receive orders!” Gritav raised his voice behind me, my eyes still fixed on the approaching enemy troops.
“Throw stones!” I screamed so loud that my voice almost disappeared.
“Throw stones!”
“Throw stones!”
The male voice alternately repeated my words, I looked up as a black shadow flashed across my head. The huge rock thrown by our troops floated rapidly towards the enemy forces. Some of the enemy troops ran backwards, trying to avoid the boulder, his body disappeared into the depths of the rock followed by a red trail flowing around him as they did not have time to run away from the stones we threw.
My eyes were slightly distracted by a horse neighing in pain as I stared at the foot of the horse that was sinking with a boulder hitting it. The knight who had fallen was thrown from the horse, moving his body to stand up, walking closer to the horse. The man raised his sword up, and then weaved the sword into the neck of the horse which was still struggling to escape. The blood of the poor horse, splashed the body of the Knight earlier as he floated his sword barreled into the neck of the horse.
The knight stepped on the neck of the horse before his two feet stepped on the run, blending in with the pedestrian troops that were in front of him. I took a strong bite on my lips and moved my head back to look at my silent troops who were stunned to see the scene before them. I took a deep breath before, “don't let my guard down! Don't let their fingertips touch the walls of this fortress!” I again shouted loudly to all of them, “do Hme-Sama,” Our Knights shouted back loudly chiming my words.
I looked back at the archers who unceasingly shot their arrows towards the enemy troops. The arrows they fired were piercing the enemy's head, some were piercing one of their eyes, some were directly stuck in the enemy's neck, there were even those who were firmly stuck in some of the enemy Knights. My eyes were turned back to some of the men who ran with wooden buckets that were puffing white smoke in their hands.
The Knights carrying the wooden buckets ran towards the front of the fortress to approach the archers and poured the hot water in the bucket towards the enemy troops who tried to climb up fortification. The hot water that fell on the bodies of the enemy Knights, made them fall back down and then roll over with their blistered palms covering their faces.
All the sounds mixed in my ears, the voices of our Knights who were trying to encourage each other, or the sounds of roaring screams released by the enemy Knights below. Everything became clearer as the sun rose, I let out a long sigh as I lifted the bow I held in my left hand.
The arrow on my back with my right hand, thrust the arrow closer to the bow I held in my left hand. I raised my head again to meet the enemy troops as I pulled the rope that was in my bow. My arrow shot quickly through the head of one of the enemy Knights as my right hand released it, I again took my other arrow and shot an arrow, then, the arrow is towards the enemy troops who are not tired to attack.
Countless more, how many tens of arrows have I shot towards the enemy army, and countless more. “Hime-Sama,” male voice stops my hand movement, I give my head a look back, “ada what Gritav?”
“Today has ended Hime-Sama,” he said looking at me.
“Eh?” I was a little confused looking at him, “didn't you hear the sound of the trumpet ringing?” He asked me back.
“Tompet?” I was confused by moving my head around a little.
My head was bowed as the sound of the trumpet actually sounded in my ear, “I didn't notice it,” I said slowly as I raised my right hand to cover both my eyes.
“You did everything really well, Hime-Sama,” he said, followed by a slow pat that touched my head. “Not me, but all of us,” I said slowly answering his words.
