CdxxxVII Chapter
“Where are you taking me?” I asked by staring at the forest we entered.
“Bringing you to the river as ordered, I will change what you have to do later,” he said, followed by the cessation of the horse we were riding.
“Down!” He again voiced, “you, want to go down by itself or I have to knock you off this horse?” Tukas him once more as I glanced sharply behind him.
I clicked my tongue and went down from the black horse, I walked backwards a little as he bent down, trying to grab a spear that was hung beside the horse's body, “take!” He said by throwing the spear until the spear fell in front of me.
I bowed my body, grabbed and held the spear firmly, “ in front there, there is a river. Catch ten fish from the river using the spear, if it is finished .. Bring the fish to me, then I will take you again to the village,” he said by glancing at me from his horse.
“Is this a trap?”
“Now, why not try it yourself to make sure,” he revealed who raised his face back avoiding my gaze.
I turned around, then set my foot in the direction he was pointing. The more I walked forward, the clearer was the sound of water currents coming from the front. My footsteps stopped, my head lowered followed by my palms massaging the back of my neck.
Both of my feet again stepped on the river water which is only limited to the foot, “how, I get fish in this very shallow river, which is very shallow,” my murmur while still staring towards the clear river water flowing through the legs.
I sat down by putting the spear I held earlier into the river water, “whatever, I was tired,” I whispered slowly by laying down the body on the riverbed containing the small rocks.
“Submering like this, it is the best,” I whispered again by staring at the sky that is brighter than before.
I raised my right arm over my forehead, the sound of water flowing in my ears, really like fresh air to my mind. “What are you doing?!” I sat down and looked back as the male screams suddenly sounded.
“I did not find any fish here,” I said raising my head, looking at him who was looking down at me from his horse.
“If you lie down like that, you won't find anything,” his lips by jumping down from the horse he was riding, “go there! And bring as many fish as possible!” His command again by raising his finger pointed towards the downstream of the river.
My tongue clucked again, I got up to my feet with the stick he had given me. My body turned back to him before walking in the direction he pointed at, “what here really is the fish?” Gerutuku with a view down every inch of the river.
“What is he kidding?” When I returned, I crouched down as the shadow of a small fish swam away from my feet.
“How do I catch those little fish with the spear he lent? What is he, underestimating me?” My side glanced to the right.
I turned around, put my feet near the riverbank. Both my feet kept going until the sound of the river flow behind me, more and more inaudible to the ears, “Kou, did you hear me?” I whispered slowly, continuing to walk.
“Do you need anything, My Lord?”
“Take me, to the place where Lux is. You can feel it, right?” I whispered again by tightly grasping the spear in my hand.
“Alright, follow the direction I will tell you,”, said his voice that was ringing in my head.
I continued to walk in the direction that Kou pointed out, the spear in my hand many times I moved it to the ground, just to make sure there was or was no trap scattered around. The longer I walked, the fewer trees grew.
My footsteps moved faster than before as I left the forest. I ran down the stretch of sand that I had previously passed, my steps felt heavier when the sand was even stuck in the shoes I was wearing. “Should I pick you up, My Lord?” Tukas Kou as my legs stopped moving.
I leaned against the spear I had planted on the ground, "i'm fine. Just say, is it far away?" I asked in a disjointed voice, I raised my hand to pat my chest softly which felt tight.
“Oi Sachi, what are you doing alone here?” My head was raised, turning towards the voice that was calling from a distance.
“What are you doing here too, nii-chan?” I asked him who was approaching.
“I escaped, then you?”
“I too, did the same thing,” said I was replied by a breath that came out of both of us.
“The man tried to trick me, did he think I would believe if Sasithorn they let in the forest when Duke Masashi was assigned to watch him directly,” said Izumi who slightly raised his head upwards.
“Didn't you run following her, nii-chan?”
Izumi lowered her gaze at me, “I did initially run after her, then after that I hid behind a rock to further escape,” Izumi said with a smile looking at me.
“I'm just curious, where is Haruki? His pride must have been hurt once, because it was asked as a slave, serving someone's orders,” Izumi again voiced out by raising her head turned around.
“Come on,” I said turn my head to the side, “nii-chan,” connect me again while still looking to the side.
“I heard the news, if Dad asks this tribe to stay in Sora,” said I turned to look at him.
“Is that? Are you worried about that traitor?” I nodded my head as she also turned her eyes to look at me.
“I have absolutely no objection to that, but .. Do the residents accept the decision? Because, like the tribe we have met before, they chose to live alone without relying on anyone instead?” Tukas Izumi, he turned around by again continuing his steps.
“Do you know this from Duke?” I shook my head as her steps stopped followed by her head turning towards me, “I found out from Qadan,” I said as I stepped beside her.
“Qadan?”
“The man who was ordered to train me,” answered me without turning his head towards him.
“Is your relationship and Zeki okay?” I turned to her when she suddenly asked like that.
“What do you mean, nii-chan?” Reveal it by looking straight ahead.
