CCCIV Chapter
"Do you understand the inscription on that stone?" Haruki said, I shook my head to answer his question.
"It's the first time I've seen this writing" I said, standing up, I lowered my head as I rubbed my two sore eyes several times by the sand that had been blown by the wind before.
"You okay?" Zeki's voice rang out, I felt something grab my face and lift it.
"It's okay, just a little sand entry," I blinked my eyes repeatedly, trying to stare at him that looked a little blurry in view.
"Let me see" he said, I felt something slowly touching my eyelids as I felt the air gusting into my eyes.
"Hows it? Does it still hurt?" He said back when my other eye felt the same way.
"It's better, thank you," I said, moving my palms against my wet cheeks.
"What happened to you, Aydin?" Izumi said, I turned to look at Aydin who was down by hiding his head on his two legs that were bent, as well as a strong sigh was released by him.
"My heart hurts to see my future wife making out with other men" he said without raising his head.
Zeki walked up to him, his footsteps stopping right in front of Aydin who was sitting crouching with his head bowed. Zeki moved his foot to kick the sand in front of Aydin...
"Damn it!" Aydin said in a high tone, it appears Aydin raised his head with one palm sweeping his lips, several times Aydin like to take something out of his mouth.
"I'm just making you realize the reality" Zeki turned around and walked away.
"You!"
"This is why I'm not suggesting anyone leave except the three of us" Izumi stopped Aydin's words, standing up followed by Haruki who was seen massaging his head.
"I didn't expect, I'd take two fools who wasted their energy in a place like this," Haruki said lowering his hand from his head, turning around to leave us.
"Sa-chan, comehike! And stay away from the two of them," Haruki said stopping his steps, he turned around by waving his palm at me.
I walked over to him, Haruki turned back and then stepped his foot beside me. I turned to look back, Izumi seemed to be unceasingly grumbling with Zeki and also Aydin walking behind her.
"Do you really feel nothing?" Haruki said, I turned to look at him who had also been staring at me.
"Because as you can see, we don't even know... Which path can we take to return," he said back, Haruki moved his head around.
"Nii-chan, did you hear anything?" I said pulling his arm, Haruki stopped his footsteps and looked at me.
"I don't listen to anything."
"Hear what?" Izumi is assisted by a headband by Zeki and Aydin.
"I heard a voice, like a serpent..."
"Aydin, behind your feet!" Shouted, I clasped Haruki's clothing arm while breathing a sigh of relief as Zeki quickly pulled out his sword and cut the snake's body in half.
"How can you not hear such a clear voice!" I shouted at the three of them, silent the three of them with a look at each other.
"We didn't hear anything" Izumi stepped closer to me.
"You really didn't hear it?" I said to them, I took turns to look at those who nodded their heads.
"What's going on? What the hell is going on here?" My words bite down hard on the thumb tip of my right hand.
"Sa-chan, are you sure you're okay?"
"I don't know. I don't understand what's really going on here" I said, raising my head to them.
"Here it's not safe, we'll find a safer place to take shelter" Haruki said walking over and grabbed my hand, firmly grasped my palm earlier as he stepped his foot by slowly pulling my hand.
Both of my feet stepped following Haruki, the further we walked... The stronger the wind that blows the sand. I lifted my palm shut my nose, occasionally turning to the side to look at a sand that was flying away from where we were standing now.
"Wouldn't it be better to build a tent than to continue the journey. With so much sand flying, we cannot see what lies ahead. If we keep going, we don't know... What danger will we face," said Zeki, he walked beside me with one arm covering his nose.
"Zeki is right, if we continue on our way. That would be very dangerous, Haruki. You see, even the wind blowing stronger than before," Izumi continued followed by a coughing sound several times that he let out.
"I see, we'll rest here" Haruki said, releasing his hand at me.
I turned around with a slight squint trying to look at them. Izumi took out a cloth from the bag she was carrying, and pulled out a rope from her bag.
"Aydin your sword" said Zeki, raising his hand towards Aydin, Aydin raised his sword and gave it to Zeki.
Zeki raised the sword of Aydin and then stuck it on the sand, he walked a few steps while pulling his sword and plugged the sword into the sand as before.
"Sachi, the knife at your feet," Izumi's voice rang out, I turned to her who was holding the edge of the cloth she had taken out earlier.
I crouched my body as my hand reached for the little knife I always slipped near the shoes I was wearing. I gave the little knife to Izumi, Izumi grabbed the knife and then put it on the edge of the cloth that she was holding before.
