But we had to get ahead of them, even though I roughly knew where we were going, I needed time to read the map and find the location of the place.

We had already arrived at Sapphire when I reached out to pull Devan. Here the crowd dwindled, many Sapphire residents attended the coronation. So, we were huddled in the shadow of a big tree, Bella watching our pursuers while Devan and I studied the map.

“ Look,” I said while touching the map plan. “ The location is exactly as we thought it was.”

“ We can see the big tree behind the fortress, the tree near the bench where we were sitting when they called you,” Devan agreed. “ You sure this will work?”

I nodded, ignoring the doubtful sting inside me. “ Must succeed.”

“ Well, we will know in a moment,” suddenly Bella said. “ They are at the base of the hill.”

They had seen us but, assuming we had little place to hide, they approached slowly, both slowing down like we had. I grimaced at the thought of having to run again, but Bella and Devan ran from behind a tree, I caught up with them, grasping the map.

After walking down the street and turning the corner, we arrived there. The castle fortress stretched in both directions, west towards the palace gate and east towards the point connected with the city fortress. We ran slowly, Devan and I looked forward to find a tree on the inner side of the fort that marked the door. I stumbled as I looked up, almost slumped on my knees, but Bella grabbed my arm and pulled me up. And then, suddenly, I saw it. The green leaves swung amidst the gusts of wind, even from above the walls were visible.

“ There,” hisisku and we stopped. Soon Melani's men can catch up with us.

“ Where?” sue Bella.

“ Should be here,” I exclaimed as I opened the map. Yeah, we're standing right outside the place I found Devan months ago. “ Should be here!”

“ Maybe he should touch his wall,” Devan said. Bella swept her hands over the wall, patting her like a horse, but nothing happened.

“ He's here! The door should have appeared for him,” my sigh, afraid to stare back on his shoulders to see the whereabouts of the men. “ You see?”I traced the bottom of the rune letters. “ Notice, whoever tries to find the King's Door. Know that the door will only appear for someone with royal blood and royal sentences.”

I shook my head. “ That's just bullshit. Name of the map maker or something.”

“ No, not the name of the mapmaker,” Bella said from behind my shoulder in a strange and tense voice.

“ What?” I gasped, and at the same time Devan said, “ Can you read it?”

Bella nodded, her eyes wide.

“ But I can't translate it,” I said. “ Can you read the ancient rune letters?”

Bella shook her head. “ But I can read that letter.”

Royal blood, my inner. Royal blood and. Sentences were spelled so that only someone of royal blood could read them. “ Fast! what's it all about?”

Bella looked at me, her face showing an expression that was hard to read. “ I am Thorvaldor,” whispered Bella.

The light emanated from the palace walls, so bright that I had to raise my hand to protect my eyes before the match.

As the light disappeared, I felt Devan snatch my hand and grip it tightly. Because in front of there, in a place that a moment ago stood a plain wall, there was a small wooden door.
