Part 103's. Good News 1's
"I understand Sir."
"Jen, do you want dinner?"
"Hmm.may. I'm hungry."
Ever since I broke up with Andrew two months ago. James always takes me out to eat together. Although I ate with Susan and the others, she often invited me to dinner.
Although he had no disagreements with Andrew at work, he has avoided spells with Andrew since the incident. Maybe form her support for me. He is a good defender.
We ate and sat at an empty table.
"James."
"Hmmm..." I answered with my mouth full.
"Katrina was looking for you."
"Who's Katrina?" His face showed he had completely forgotten who was named Katrina.
"Assistant company commander."
"Ohh, yes I remember. What's up?"
"I don't know, don't you know. He just said he was looking for you. Ahh that's him..." I waved at him. The stern-faced girl sat beside me after she smiled at me.
"Hi Jen, Hi Doctor James. Incidentally, can I join."
"Of course." I'll tell Katrina that, while James only sees her.
"Doc, Commander has set an operating date, he said that in 17th, Monday, two weeks, there will be a cleanup of the Hot Spring hazardous sector. You are asked to prepare for the emergency station there."
"Well, everything will be prepared."
"Nurse Jen, are you also in charge of the Emergency station? Aren't you the head nurse."
"Yes I'm there."
"We're from El Paso military hospital. Long time working on the same team."

"Ohh no. Not at all." I smiled at him.
"How many troops are going to jump?" James to technical issues.
"1600 in 6 days. Operating coverage of the entire southern sector, bounded by the Arkansas river. They're sterilizing Bill and Hillary Clinton Airport in the east as a base of operations and a medical base."
"Jen, we've got half the strength for the week. I'll see who the doctor comes with. You take care of the nurses who come along and the supplies."
"Note." I'm not worried about this kind of move anymore. This kind of transfer is not a new job. We've been trained to move medical bases because we move around a lot.
"The "main city. Arkansas is 70% clean if we're done with Little Rock. Maybe by the end of summer we've finished the whole of Arkansas."
"That's great news. I am so happy to be in Hot Spring. Once this is done we may be pioneers again in another city." Maybe next summer we have moved again, we have moved three times during this year's assignment.
"What we can do, it's our job." When you're comfortable with one place you have to move again.
"But we don't accept additional cases anymore in the safe city. Everyone already knows how to avoid parasites and no one wants to be exposed to parasites." Katrina joined the conversation.
"You're right, and fortunately infected are slow and most likely to die if they don't get food."
"Yes soon we'll have a new anti-parasite. They found an effective parasite killer. But it still has a big effect on the body, because it has to be given 24 hours after exposure, it's still a trial drug, they're trying to localize the effects, try a better formulation."
"really?" That's very good news. Finally, there is treatment even though it is still a trial level. That's a huge relief.
"We just received the release today. We'll take it as a trial drug, soon, but it's probably better than you losing hope at all. Although people with weak bodies may not be able to survive the effects of the drug, for soldiers with better bodies may be able to survive. But anyway it's better than giving up on losing."
"That's a big news. Finally after a year has passed we hear the hope of healing." Katrina said the same thing.
