"I think we've had enough to make the decision to get married, I was serious from the beginning with Monica, not to mess around, honey how about you, consider this his proposal."
"You have the ring, it's good to propose without preparing anything?" I pursed my lips, "Unaccepted, Mama you destroyed my proposal." I snuck away from him. Mama grimaces wide not knowing how to respond to me.
"So, you're so cruel." Monica immediately protested, while the others laughed.
Without thinking Gilbert was standing, I wondered why he was standing. I looked at him, and then he knelt in front of me. "What the.... " I'm not done talking yet, he took something out of his pocket and thrust it at me. A proposal ring before my eyes, "How .. you can..." How could he have prepared this.
"Elizabeth Dugard, I'm Gilbert Gillian's been stuck in your eyes since our first fight, Wonder Woman please marry me."
"Oh my God." Mom immediately exclaimed and closed her lips.
"Wonder woman?! A fitting nickname, Hahahaha... Let's accept brother, say yes." He laughed at our first personal nickname he heard. Monica was more excited than Mama, Albert's wife also encouraged me to accept it. Albert smiled broadly at this scene.
"It... When did you ..." When did he have the idea to buy it. He never said anything about this.
"Eliza, marry me? Say yes please..."
"So, don't say yes!" Monica again exclaimed noisily. I was still fixated on the ring in front of me, needing time to digest this unexpected surprise while Gilbert looked me straight in the eye.
"I'm..." He gripped my hand, my eyes were heating up without me holding back. Looking at Mom and Monica who smiled widely and embraced to see our moment.
"Yes sweetheart?"
"Yes.yes." Stupidly wiped away my tears and tried to laugh.
"Mom, he said yes!" They both hugged and Gilbert put the ring on my ring finger and hugged me. I wiped my tears while trying to smile.
"We'll have a wedding soon." Monica's the most excited now. I just chuckled a little at her reaction and I still felt flying high looking at the sparkling ring on my ring finger.
"Do you like the ring?" Gilbert may not be sure of his choice. But that's not the most important thing, how he gave a surprise to propose to me when everyone agreed, even Mother immediately asked when we were married. That's very sweet.
"Yes this is very good."
"Dates and so on you will determine, how the party who is invited, and the most important thing is that the two families must get to know each other Gilbert. How about this weekend we go there to visit Dad, Mom and your family." Mom is setting the next step now.
