Part 14's. Motive 3's
By noon I went alone to the CSIS (Canada Security Intelligence Service) headquarters in Ottawa. While Charles and his unit were charged with the police to rule out the possibility of someone reporting that we had another unit of inquiry.
I met Sir Jordan. The head of the unit, who may be in his mid-40s, greeted me as I entered his unit's working cluster.
"Miss Dugard, you're here." I hurried to regret it.
"Sir, thank you for your help, do we have any development situation."
"We have... I'll show you." He took me to a monitor. "Just an hour ago we found that there were some people watching over our third survivor, this time a man, his name is Michael Cera, who works as a chef at a restaurant in Ottawa now. And another Anton Holt who works as a teacher at a school in Ottawa." He's giving me some photos now.
"Two women have gone missing in one day, and now that they're after men, it's not strange, they're going to run an experiment with two men and two men survivors." Sir Jordan explained.
"You're gonna let them take him, aren't you?"
"Yes, definitely. That's the quickest way to know where their base is. We're not gonna let them relax. Two hidden GPS devices have been installed by agents as their cars are parked to keep an eye on the target. We found that this man's stature was the same as the one seen on a street camera. This must be them. We have to be patient."
I breathed a sigh of relief in my heart. There was finally something we could follow and the road to finding Monica was already there. We just have to be careful and be patient.
"What about Dave Thomas, is he involved in this?"
"We've been careful with checking his phone for a few days. We haven't found anything suspicious yet, but in the last two days he's been in contact with John Adam's assistant, this is what my team is working on, with whom this assistant is related. The numbers he dialed were many from the US at a glance."
"It would be helpful if you could get that kind of help."
"Well, wait a minute I'll call someone I believe can help."
I'll call Gilbert immediately. She told me I could call her anytime.
"Eliza, you called me. I just got to Michigan. How did you manage to track down your sister?"
"Actually we got a bright spot, you're right, this has something to do with the fact that my sister is a survivor, ..." I told him everything, he kept quiet hearing me and didn't cut my story to the end. "We need to identify the numbers that Dave's assistant contacted in the last few days, there are US numbers there. Can you help?"
"us Number? Really true?"
