Part 110's. Listen To Me
"I heard that. The commander also told me that."
"You're also doing an amazing job here." A small smile emerged from his face and it triggered another thump. God, why don't I just hate him.
"I'm just trying to make no one starve to death here. If there's gonna be a bad record. I was just given a small town instead of a big city to study in, hopefully they also said I made it."
Andrew is still Andrew he is perfect in his career and his job. And it may have to be paid for with less time for personal. The woman beside him should understand that. Success should be with hard work.
"You will receive the praise you deserve. The people of this town will thank you."
He looked at me for a long time, and let out a long breath.
"Thank you."
I don't know what she's thinking, maybe regret choosing Bella instead of maintaining our relationship? But it's all happened.
We stood staring at the falling snow with each other's minds. If Bella hadn't come we would have sat here together, seen snow falling from the sky in our first winter.
If only he were not among us.
"Jen." Jn." James' voice? I'm turning. "Why are you here? Come inside." He looked at Andrew still with a dislike look and pulled me in.
"Why is he there? He tried to approach you again?! That bastard's never broken his teeth." James was angry right now.
"No, we just talk a little."
"You want to talk to him. Don't you remember she so easily turned her back on you. Why would he talk to you?"
"James, we've only talked for a moment. That doesn't change anything." James seems to hate her more than me. He is the best defender I have.
I don't know why this feeling re-emerges I don't want this feeling actually either.
Now James is confronting me to him. "Listen to me Jen, you need to know, she's not that good. He took you off after chasing you, and he didn't even fight to keep that Bell. He does not care about personal relationships, the only thing he needs is recognition of his achievements. Don't you be stupid! He broke up with his girlfriend doesn't mean he decided to choose you. Maybe he just won't try. If I see her once again talking to you, I'll beat her up."
I'm silent.
James on the one hand is right, he even took off Bella just like that not even half a year maybe not even three months I guess. Wh why? What Bella is so annoying and can't compromise beside her.
I don't know their story, but didn't he love his first love so much and get rid of me.
I just realized I was trapped from romantic thoughts watching me after James spoke up now.
"Jen, I'll make sure you'll regret it if you take it again."
"I don't take it anymore. We're just talking for a minute."
"Good, once again I see him approaching you, he'll come face to face with me. He thinks I'm gonna give up on him because he's the mayor." James seems to be really doing his threat.
"James, that's it, it's pointless. I just happened to meet him."
I have to harden my heart now, not get stuck in memories with her. Andrew has given up on us, there is no turning back from such a decision.
He's not that good. If he's that good he won't leave me. That's the reality I have to accept.
Maybe this winter is better to miss on your own.
