THE BATTLEFIELD OF LOVE

THE BATTLEFIELD OF LOVE
part 76's.

"Nurse Chief Jen, how are you doing." Donna came to me that morning.

"Donna, I'm good. How was last night?"

"Doctor James made a complaint directly to the Mayor. He's been beaten up by the soldiers, and now he doesn't have permission to enter the city anymore. He was only allowed to live on the farm outside the city area and work there." So last night there was action. As expected, it should not have affected Andrew directly.

"That's great. So you don't have to be afraid anymore he's bothering you. You're safe here." I'm so relieved for him.

"I owe you my life."

"It's not my job to help. Nobody owes you anything. Just get on with life now, we've all lost someone, here at least better." I smiled at him, glad to see him more excited now. People who thank me make life look better. This morning somehow feels better.

We are taking in some more refugees. Reportedly there are 100 new people joining today. Some of the newly arrived ones should stay in treatment.

Susan came to me that afternoon. His face implied there was big news he was carrying. He seemed very happy and could not wait to talk.

"Jen, you know someone's coming up and down and the test results are positive, but he says it's impossible. The fever has been 7 days. Just this time we're in that case." The fever period is usually at most 3 days the patient has lost consciousness.

"Have you reported to James?"

"Oh, of course. You know what James said was probably like the guy we caught at the food factory. James is reporting to the center for instructions on what to do."

I think he's going to be sent straight to Atlanta, the CDC headquarters, one of the major safe cities that survive in the United States. It could be said that the state of Georgia is better than other states in the US.

Any chance we can fight the virus then it has to be investigated as soon as possible. My guess is not wrong, James came straight to his orders.

"Jen, get ready you'll be on your way to Little Rock Military Air Base, there's a military transport from Atlanta to pick him up. The handling protocol on the trip is listed here. With the current state of affairs likely from an hour to Little Rock you'll need even more time if there's a hitch."

"Ohh Little Rock." It is the capital of Arkansas. But the city is not safe. There must be a lot of obstacles.

"Prepare soon, I will prepare medicines and equipment on your way. I have to send you on this journey, you're best prepared for the journey than anything else." James explained why.

"Good James. I get it." I immediately read the FDA-submitted protocol and within an hour I saw my patient.

A man named Aaron Kendricks. He looks ready to travel. While I was also ready with my equipment, medicine and weapons.

"My name is Jen, nice to meet you. I'll escort you to Little Rock. If you're feeling bad you should tell me." Now we get acquainted in person.

"Nurse Jen, I'm fine with being ready for this trip. Don't worry I'll get there safely. Glad to be considered a man who can help civilization." I love her, I love her spirit to stay well and healthy.
