THE BATTLEFIELD OF LOVE

THE BATTLEFIELD OF LOVE
Part 115's. The False Hope 2

"You expect too much of him, why can't you see what I see. He's just a quitter who treats a relationship with a woman as complementary."

"Maybe he's not that bad." James let out a long sigh as I refuted and still had hope.

"Fine, did you say by my rules? He has to follow my rules. And as long as you can't talk to him, you agree to my terms." Finally he was ready to be a test.

"Yes, the point is I want him to prove he's trying for me."

"alright. I'll see where he's serious about you."

And the next day I talked to Andrew about my decision.

"What do you want me to do?" Now I'm standing in front of Andrew, talking to him with four eyes.

"Convincing James, Susan. Talk to them. If he agrees I'll come back to you." Andrew quiet.

"What they are, they're not your family, they're just friends. What does he have to do with us." Is he looking for an excuse now?

"I consider them family."

"You're not logical. Why you should include your friend in our relationship. You're overreacting."

"That's my condition Andrew if you don't want to work on it, then it's up to you. I'm not gonna force you... Talk to James and Susan. It's up to you how you're gonna work on it. Because I know I can't think with logic against you so I think you need to prove it to me you're trying for me."

"Why do you have to involve others? Can't we just finish this on our own."

"Well, I'll talk to them."

"I'll wait if so. I hope you succeed."

He was silent when I left him. Maybe I should be prepared to be disappointed, as James said he wasn't that good.

I silenced. Handing it over to James and Susan, I finally couldn't bear to ask them what they were asking for.

"James and I needed something easy, he couldn't get close to you before we said he graduated. We didn't give him the time, actually it was the same time he let you wait for Bella, 3 months, but James said if he could just last 2 months he would let you go back to Andrew. We're not going to make him drop his pride as mayor. You don't think it's heavy."

"It shouldn't be, if he's serious he'll work on it."

"You know I'm not sure. I heard he was among the mayors who received praise among many other mayors. He'll be promoted, let's see if he's serious about you. But promise me, if he's not serious. You don't have to chase him anymore, don't think about it anymore. Promise me, this is for your own pride."

"I promise." I nodded at Susan.

"I wish we were wrong and you were right. But we'll just see okay."

And then the days passed. A hopeful winter for me, I hope Andrew can prove he's serious about what he said to me. A week, two weeks, the turn of the year.

There was a small party in the city at the turn of the year, centred on the town hall, the townspeople giving thanks for the turn of the year, the food was issued, the women people participated in cooking, the people participated in the meal, we are grateful that we have new hope this year. Medications, although not yet perfect, have been found.
