THE BATTLEFIELD OF LOVE

THE BATTLEFIELD OF LOVE
Part 51's. Stubborn Girl's

Within three days they were able to continue their journey to their own camp. On the way they met a battalion of soldiers sent by the central region command. This time they were going to clean up Springdale, after all its healthy residents had been displaced now they wanted to make the city habitable again.

But for a while they had to deliver these 4 containers to Henryetta. Just received the next assignment. Andrew saw that the camp was now completely deserted, except for soldiers who were guarding the camp, or refugees who had just arrived. The atmosphere was a real relief for them.

De Angelo disappeared somewhere, after he reported to the Camp commander. His order is while they are in charge of training newly arrived refugees to defend themselves. There is no specific assignment. Andrew heads to the soup kitchen to pick up lunch when he sees Jen.It appears to be taking a lunch ration for the patient he is caring for.

“You want me to help you?”

“Andrew...Oi. It's good to see you back. Yes I put all this food in the container, there are still twenty more people in the care ward.” Jen's smile expands. Suddenly the girl's smile was something precious to Andrew right now. He would try to pay attention and protect her, that was what he suddenly said in his day now.

“Let me bring the tray, you bring the food container so you don't have to go back and forth.” Not much to say Andrew took the tray pile and brought it.

“Ayo.” They are now walking side by side.

“Thanks.” Andrew simply replied with a smile. His girlfriend is probably dead, that's not to be denied, only he can't accept it yet. It must have been very difficult for him to accept the fact that almost three months of his lover disappeared without news.

“I heard you guys are stuck in Springdale.”

“Yes, there are roads that we can not go through, we have to shift cars one by one while infected surround us. The important thing is we get additional food supplies. Although we have casualties, but this is a time of war, casualties must exist even though we have tried our best.”

“You know, yesterday we had one person who seemed to be immune from Springdale, ..”Jennifer tells her what happened, while Andrew helps her deliver food to the patient ward. It doesn't matter a little holding back hunger in order to spend time telling stories with the girl.  The girl listened to her story while shrieking in horror, while all she wanted to do now was tell the girl she was safe with him, hugging her so she could be comfortable.

“Didn't you want to eat why you even helped me here.” Andrew smiled at Jennifer's astonishment.

“I just want to help out. Have you eaten by the way?”

“Already, sana go.” Jen threw him out now, his hunger was gone he felt it was okay to be next to the girl.

The night before then. As usual she knew the girl sometimes sat alone in a reclining chair in their resting tent. He came and sat there.

“More quiet than usual not.”

“Iya, .. many have already left. So it's quieter it feels..” Andrew sat quietly beside her, feeling he somehow had to ask her about her lover. “You've got news about your lover.” The girl sighed.

“But..”.

“You don't think, I mean it's been three months, maybe... “ Andrew does not continue.

“He's still out there I'm sure. I don't know where, he'll be home.” Jennifer cut it off so confidently. The girl was stubborn, unmistakable, and it seemed that Andrew had to be more patient, there was a time when he would realize that all his hopes were in vain.

There will be times when he can not dodge anymore and realize who has accompanied him all this time. He just had to be as stubborn as the girl. That's the only way.

“Sorry, let's just say I never said it..”  Now he's trying to apologize.

Jennifer didn't say anything. Somehow he's sure Fred's still out there, he's gonna be fine. Jen will still be waiting for her, just like Fred who never took it off even if they split up.  Late night, clear sky that night, maybe tomorrow scientists will find a cure and soon all these nightmares will end.

That was all he expected now.
