THE BATTLEFIELD OF LOVE

THE BATTLEFIELD OF LOVE
Part 153's. Drama

We have to stay focused even though we are hit with the arrival of patients alternately. Finally we pulled in some trained civilians to help us.

It's only the first month, it's still 20%, but this is not how much of a risk the soldiers who work in the field, on the front line actually.

"Jen, are you done?" James checked on me while I was still explaining work to the night shift. He also seems to have finished helping from the side.

"That's it, that's the last."

"It's 9 o'clock more, go if you have. Have you eaten?" James always made sure I didn't come back too late. Like he said he was a good brother. Never mind, maybe that's the way. There's no way we're dating in a chaos situation like this. He's here to look after me sometimes like my brother.

"So late in the afternoon, I was hungry again." I smiled at him.

"You haven't taken your day off in three weeks."

"Not are you the same. We can take a little off in between work."

"If you're going on holiday, Laura seems to be able to replace you. He also took his vacation. If you're saturated, it won't be good for you and your patients either."

"I'm fine, I'll take a day off if I need to. You calm down."

"Yes, come back to rest."

"Yes." Yeah." He left, I also went to get food.

"Ludo. You still have something."

"Jen, of course. I always leave something for you, you won't starve." He gave me the food box, I accepted it with a big smile.

"You're the best Ludo."

"See you always have dinner last night? Ludo says he always makes sure his staff leaves something for you other than for those who take care of the night." The second time I've met Commander Gillian in two weeks.

"Sir night, I have to make sure everything is in order, at 5 I have eaten, usually someone comes at the end of the shift. Take it easy, I know how to keep the rhythm of work."

He sat in front of me.

"Am I interrupting?"

"No Sir. You can babble as much as you're here." He smiled and sat in front of me. This is our second meeting. Like he said he had no intention of finding trouble with me. I trust him because he's also the boss here, after all he's not trying to be disrespectful to me.

"It's been very busy lately."

"Yes at its peak. We're following the rhythm of Sir's army." I heard from the other nurse, she's got some women who seem to have something to do with her. There was one female doctor in the general section and maybe one of her assistants, it was just gossip of course, nothing to prove the truth. Either it was because he talked to them often or it was true that they were casual partners.

And he seems to have strict rules about this because he doesn't care who he's close to. The one exposed to her magic willingly agreed to her terms, as I thought it was too complicated to make her a friend.

"You and Doctor James are lovers?" A question made me see it. Why he wanted to know, he found out. Maybe I want to try a tough girl.

"No. Just a good friend." I answered him as I told everyone.

"Oh."

"Interesting."

"Why interesting?"

"You can stick with a friend's status that close." I didn't answer, just smiled, who knew the complexity of my relationship with James was just me.
