Part 101's. Decision 6's
Another weekend in Montreal,
When my eyes opened, he was not beside me. He doesn't usually wake up at this hour. I'm looking into the front room. I thought he was gone but it turns out he's here.
He sat alone with coffee in his hand. I must have given him a hard time. He really wanted to go back to Moscow and I kept him here.
"You're awake." He held out a hand pulling me in his arms.
"Why are you sitting here alone." And I feel guilty for being the destroyer of his ideals.
"It's okay to just enjoy your own time. We going for a walk today?"
"You don't have a job waiting?"
"No."
"All right."
I'm not trying to remind him of any problems, today tomorrow and beyond. I told you what I wanted. The matter of his decision will be in his hands.And three months later I will charge my answer.
Over the next weeks I acted like that, like nothing happened. Alexsey didn't talk about it either.
We acted like nothing happened. I love him and this moment makes me feel like I'm enjoying the last moments with him. It was so sad that it made me cry on countless nights.
"Miss Monica, ..good afternoon." But one day Anna called me.
"Anna? How you doing?" I don't know why he's calling me right now. "What's wrong? Is there anything I can help you with? Alex is okay?" I immediately thought something was going on because Anna doesn't usually call me.
"No. Not something you can help, but lately I found my boss daydreaming a lot and like his day was very bad. Do you know why? Aren't you all right." Anna's concern for Alex, the one beside her must have seen her drastic change.
"It's just a small question. He will forget it too. Didn't she tell you anything?"
"really. Lately it seems like he's stocked with something big trouble. I asked him and he didn't say anything." Anna doesn't believe it of course.
"Hmm, what can I say Anna. I'm powerless. If he wants to tell you maybe you can give him some advice, you're his best friend. But maybe in the future we won't be together anymore." I opened it to Anna because I hoped Anna could give her another point of view, Anna would understand what I was asking.
"What?! Whyyy?! She doesn't play girls, I know who she is, there's no way she's messing with you, she loves you, why did you leave her? which girl made you angry? I'm gonna go beat him up myself." I laugh now, Anna is so excited.
"No, I know he didn't betray that. Not like that, another question. This is an irreconcilable difference in principle. You can ask him yourself. Maybe he can tell you." I took a long breath. "Anna if we part, please look at your boss a little bit, maybe he'll do something stupid..." Anna was silent with my sad words.
"Oh my God, Monic, I think you're going to stay together and get married. Alex loves you so much, I didn't think you guys had such a big problem." What can I say again, I've given him a deadline and it will be in the offing.
"Anna, please watch her ..."
"You're supposed to take care of yourself, I'm not paid to be her psychologist." Anna makes me laugh now. Laughing sadly, I had to leave my lover to her, because soon I would disappear from her sight.
"Asking for a raise, psychologists are expensive." I tried to laugh even though it was bitter.
"I hope this doesn't happen to you Monic, he loves you so much, I see that from the first time you met, you were the only one who could make him chase you until you accepted him..."
"I know, but love isn't enough, I'd rather have help to keep it from you Ann, I don't want to make it sad, but everything is destined to be so."
"Monic, what's wrong with you guys."
"Ask Alex, maybe he'll tell her."
Such a sad talk. I wish I had gone through this time quickly. It was so exhausting to have to cry every day and see a gray cloud cover my day.
