Part 116's. Spring is Coming

"No. I'm not gonna cry. I was blinded by my own feelings. Didn't hear your words and Susan's. You're right I'm stupid."
"He doesn't deserve your cry. You'll find a much better one up front. It's just having hope for her."
"Yes. I believe that." I smiled, but disappointment made me shed tears as well. A broken hope makes the heart hurt.
"I'm sorry... I'm a whiny." I wiped my tears while sobbing in front of him. "I won't cry anymore I promise. Only this time... This is too stupid. You don't have to go beat him up, it's my own stupidity. It's humiliating..." She put her arm around my shoulder letting me cry over my lost hope. Until my crying disappeared, he sat down beside me.
"Thank you for complying with my request. He was crying like this. Sometimes I feel like I'm asking you too much."
"I'm definitely more useful than the mayor it's not." I laugh.
"Yes, you're obviously more useful." Finally after feeling sad I was able to let go of this hope was a relief on the other side.
"Another month, spring, come with me to Atlanta."

"If Andrew had really gone two months, I would have let you go here. If something happens afterwards I can call you back to follow me on the grounds that I left you to back up Arkansas territory. But what happened was you know, ... Not even a month to prove it."
"That's better. I'm going to Atlanta." I'm glad to be leaving Hot Spring now.
"Atlanta and its surrounding support towns are still intact like El Paso. They're the safest city actually, it could even be said to be one of the big cities that still runs all its supporting industries."
"looks great. It seems life is better there."
"Yes, it must be much better. This winter let's just say we're vacationing in the countryside." I can laugh about it now.
"alright. I'll just go with you. I'm also lazy to have to see her again."
"We're finally back to civilization. No longer in the pioneer city or in the middle of the forest."
"Yes, something that's a relief. It'd be nice to be back in town." We miss restaurants, food vendors, when everything is nornal, but there will be times in the future, maybe three more years or later there is a clear time when infected and parasites are no longer something scary.
Night crawled up. A new year has passed by leaving something behind. There's good things, there's bad things but right now, I can't wait for spring.
