THE BATTLEFIELD OF LOVE

THE BATTLEFIELD OF LOVE
Part 119's. Michelle

Training went well, I had no trouble in class, although technically I had a nurse, far below James who was a specialist, but since I am 24 hours watching and understanding the care of these two people I can also explain the material well.

Doctors came in and out of different areas and we were both going to be involved in major surgery in Florida, Miami. Much larger scale than we handled in Little Rock. James will be the Head of his Emergency Unit at Little Rock.

Tempting him, I hadn't thought about it at all because of our busyness.

We will be given a hospital in Miami that is on a scale like Hot Spring, which is close to the main base of military operations.

"Nurse Jen, I'm Junior Sean's doctor. I was asked to help you prepare the medical supplies you wanted. You can ask me. Oh yes, the civilian nurse who will be in the stacking, you can start the training as you want tomorrow. I'll tell them right away if you're ready."

Here also James and I are trusted as spearheads, because we are used to working with military hospital systems and emergency battlefield training.

"Ohh well, give me the list. I'll arrange it with Doctor James soon. First briefing tomorrow at 9 a.m. This is all I need, but there may be more after spot observation."

"Understand Miss Jen." The excited young doctor disappeared as quickly as he appeared. "I'll come with you with the pharmacy guys to the forefront to handle the pharmacies and supplies."

"Ohh so, then hopefully we can work well together. Thank you Sean."

I headed to James' room, which was also my room because I was there to discuss our staff profiles.

"James, I've been working on the equipment, and we've got the staff list."

"I've also got a list of doctors, sit here, let's finish now the division." I sat down in front of James and we started to do division of duties.

"Doctor James.want lunch?" Michelle now knocked on the door and appeared at the door.

"Ohh, Michelle I'm busy with Jen, I'll eat with Jen." James looked back at the paper in his hand.

"Ohh, okay." I saw the beautiful doctor leave with a disappointed face.

"He'll be disappointed."

"Leave it. That's what I mean. I only had a job relationship with him for a long time he would understand. We're going to finish this first so we don't have class today, we should have started a briefing tomorrow, the scale of the operation this time is bigger and it looks like it's going to be a permanent hospital."

"Yes fine."

Well that's how it is, he won't respond if you expect it or pursue it so much. If I expected her to stay away as well, I was afraid of ruining my relationship with her.

I dare not expect it. Didn't dare to think of teasing her like Susan suggested. His attitude that protected me seemed to mean more to me.

Finally after this month no one managed to get close to him some people started to pry at me.

"Jen, are you and Doctor James lovers? You guys seem very close." The first question starts to come up from the beautiful Michelle.

"Is he gaw*y?" The next question made me grimace.

"No, when we were in Hot Spring, she had a date, I guess."

"Ohh really? None of the girls here have ever managed to ask her out."

"Okay, I don't understand the criteria myself. I was only in touch with him at work. Maybe he's got too much work to do, two weeks to go, most likely we've got to get to the front line."

"Could it?" Michelle was suspicious of my answer, but I didn't have a better answer for her.

"Maybe you should try again." I smiled at him.

"Your boss is very difficult."

So now I'm smiling to myself after gathering some people asking if she's gay*y, especially Michelle who looks very curious.

"Why you?" James was surprised to see me back from lunch with a smile.

"Hmm no." My smile grew wider when I saw it.

"With that big smile you said there was nothing. Something to do with me?"

"Many have asked if you're not*y." I'm not right now. "I think there's gonna be a guy here to take you to dinner." Now I'm ngakak.

"A very unqualified question."

James went back to the paper he was staring at. Perhaps true, he wanted to focus on the job entrusted to him now. If he is considered successful, this could be a stepping stone to his career in the future. In times when the situation will slowly return to normal.

I decided to support him. He's been too good to me.

"James, I have to go to the nurse's briefing class." I'm leaving now, as close as possible to the frontline deployment, I have to make sure these civilian nurses know the SOPs the military is running in no time. There are some military nurses who will join in a few days.

"Do you need help with the brief?"

"No, I can handle it. Take it easy, if I need your help I'll say."

And all this time we have always been the best tandem in the job.
