I saw Gilbert come out of the isolation room, and he dared to talk to her.
"He's not scolding you." I'm curious.
"No."
"Good, maybe he knows he's wrong. I heard all the stories from James."
"He's disappointing."
"When she's beautiful." Gilbert just smiled hearing me call her beautiful.
"A lot of Jen's pretty women, take it easy. I'll find many more beautiful like her." I felt somehow Gilbert was paying attention to him. Although it may have happened that she was disappointed by Elizabeth, but she still visited him. There was something that might have impressed her about the girl.
"I believe you can." He grimaced himself with my words.
"You're coming back?"
"No, I'll keep an eye out here with some of the soldiers, most of them will come home but there's still some on duty until you're done with them. I still have to make sure they pay us for the first wave of help. I have to go first. If you need help, just say okay."

"I'll intentionally make it late then." Suddenly James and I coughed now at Elizabeth's words. Gilbert grimaced hearing that.
"I didn't hear anything right, not honey." Finally we both laughed at their words, it seemed that they needed to talk alone. James and I took our hands away.
"I don't either, I think there's a lot of commotion around here. Let's just go then Tootsie."
We leave them, it seems they need to talk for a while, being here will bother them.
